Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on suggestion sentence material in Indonesian language learning through the use of interactive learning media. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) was conducted in two cycles, each of which included the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were VIII grade students in one of the junior high schools with a total of 30 students. Data were collected using learning outcome test instruments, student activity observation sheets, and field notes. The results showed that the use of learning media, such as learning videos and interactive cards, was able to improve students' understanding of the concept and application of suggestion sentences. This can be seen from the increase in students' average score in each cycle, which meets the minimum completeness criteria. In addition, students' active involvement in the learning process also increased significantly. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of appropriate learning media plays an important role in improving student learning outcomes in Indonesian language materials, especially suggestion sentences.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical problem solving ability of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 6 Tambun Selatan on the material of Two-Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV). Using descriptive qualitative approach, the research was conducted on 38 students with purposive sampling. Data were collected through problem solving tests and semi-structured interviews. The results showed that students' mathematical problem solving skills were low, with 78.95% of students in the low criteria, 13.16% medium, and only 7.89% high. Based on Polya's indicators, the majority of students were only able to describe the problem and develop a solution plan, while having difficulty at the stage of implementing the plan and re-examining the results. High ability students were able to fulfill all indicators, medium ability students were only able to fulfill the first two indicators, while low ability students had difficulty in almost all indicators. Students' main obstacles include difficulty translating story problems into mathematical models, lack of understanding of concepts, and inability to check results. A more effective learning approach is needed to improve students' mathematical problem solving skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and mathematics learning achievement in grade VI students of SDN Harjasari 1. Using the correlational survey method, the study was conducted on 32 students selected through simple random sampling technique. Emotional intelligence was measured using a Likert scale questionnaire developed based on Goleman's theory, while mathematics learning achievement was obtained from documentation of final semester grades. The results showed a significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and math learning achievement with a correlation coefficient of 0.873 and a coefficient of determination of 76.21%. The regression equation obtained is Ŷ = 10.513 + 0.593X, indicating that every one unit increase in emotional intelligence will increase math learning achievement by 0.593 units. This finding confirms that in math learning, which is often considered complex, emotional intelligence plays an important role in helping students overcome learning challenges and difficulties, thereby improving their academic performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the trend of physics learning achievement using the POEW learning model and conventional learning descriptively. The influence of the POEW learning model on physics achievement is known comparatively. This research is a quasi-experiment. The population of the study consists of the eighth-grade students of MTs Mathali'ul Huda Pati for the 2013/2014 academic year. There are 110 students in the class. Random sampling was used to obtain a sample of 74 students. Based on test results from 30 questions, 26 questions were valid, and 4 questions were invalid. An rtt of 0.877 was used to determine the reliability of the instrument. Data analysis includes prerequisite analysis tests, normality tests of distribution, and homogeneity tests of variance. The results showed that the trend of physics learning achievement using the POEW model falls into the high category, while the conventional model falls into the moderate category. In the t-test, obtained t count = 3.565 and p = 0.001, which means the hypothesis is accepted by students and is significant. There is a significant difference in physics learning achievement using the POEW model and the conventional model. Therefore, there is an influence of the use of the POEW model on physics learning achievement.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a very serious issue and requires a rehabilitation approach that prioritizes therapeutic communication. This study aims to analyze the therapeutic communication patterns applied by rehabilitation service officers at BNNK Purbalingga. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive methods, this research involved in-depth interviews and direct observations of the rehabilitation process. The study results show that the officers emphasize empathy-based communication, building trust through a personalized approach, and avoiding confrontation when interacting with clients. They also use assessment techniques to explore clients' backgrounds and implement monitoring strategies such as home visits and video calls to ensure the continuity of recovery. Family involvement is found to play an important role in enhancing the effectiveness of rehabilitation. Through this research, we gain a deeper understanding of the significance of therapeutic communication in shaping supportive relationships that facilitate clients' recovery processes. Furthermore, this study offers a communication model that could be adopted in similar rehabilitation services in other regions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of credit distribution and non-performing loans (NPL) on the capital adequacy ratio (CAR) in the Indonesian banking sector. The research population includes all banks within the Indonesian banking industry, while the sample consists of conventional commercial banks listed under the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the period 2014-2022. The study applies classical assumption tests such as normality and autocorrelation tests and examines the relationship between variables using SPSS 24. The data analysis is conducted through multiple linear regression. The results reveal that both credit disbursement and non-performing loans (NPL) have a significant and positive impact on banks' CAR. This outcome indicates that while banks continue to extend credit, they are also able to maintain adequate capital levels, suggesting effective risk management and regulatory compliance in handling credit risks.

Abstract

This research seeks to explore and analyze the impact of gross domestic product (GDP) and export value on inflation across five ASEAN countries. By employing econometric analysis through panel data regression covering the period from 2018 to 2022 and utilizing SPSS 24, the research provides valuable insights into the relationship between these economic indicators and inflation. The findings indicate that both GDP and export value have a statistically significant and positive effect on inflation in the selected ASEAN nations. Furthermore, the combined test results reinforce the existence of a strong positive correlation between GDP, export value, and inflation, suggesting that economic growth and trade activities contribute to inflationary trends. This study is unique in its approach, as it specifically examines Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines, five major ASEAN economies. Additionally, the inclusion of GDP as a primary variable adds further significance to the study, given its crucial role in influencing inflation rates and shaping overall economic stability.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of the concept of thaharah through practical field methods. The research subjects were 29 seventh-grade students of MTs Tarbiyah Islamiyah Tanjung Agung during the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection techniques included tests (pretest and posttest), observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The results indicated that the practical method significantly improved students' understanding of thaharah, evidenced by an increase in the average score from 58 (pretest) to 83 (posttest in Cycle II) and a rise in the number of students achieving the Minimum Competence Criteria (MCC) from 26.7% to 100%. Student engagement and participation also increased during the learning process. Thus, the practical field method is proven effective for Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) education, especially for application-based topics such as thaharah.

Abstract

The teaching of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKN) becomes a crucial element in forming young generations that possess national character, social skills, and awareness of democratic values. In this new decade, teaching approaches are demanded to be more interactive, enjoyable, and relevant to students' needs. This research aims to identify and evaluate innovative learning models that can support PPKN teaching through the method of literature study. Learning models such as project-based learning, cooperative learning, and problem-based learning are analyzed in depth, especially in the context of increasing student engagement, learning motivation, and understanding of citizenship issues. The study results show that the use of interactive learning models not only makes the learning process more engaging but also provides space for students to think critically, collaborate, and understand the application of Pancasila values in daily life. On the other hand, enjoyable learning strategies contribute to the improvement of academic achievement while simultaneously strengthening students' social attitudes. This study recommends the implementation of these learning models in the PPKN curriculum to create meaningful learning experiences and shape student characters as responsible citizens.

Abstract

The need to understand and tailor teaching methods to the individual needs of students is becoming increasingly important. This study focuses on the utilization of deep learning, a field within computer science that enables computers to learn from experience and understand the world in data form, to detect and analyze students' learning styles. Through an in-depth literature study, this research collects and evaluates various sources and previous studies relevant to the topic. We examine the ways in which deep learning has been applied to recognize patterns in students' learning data, such as their information absorption methods, the time they need to learn new concepts, and their learning preferences. This is assisted by data analysis taken from various sources, such as test results, learning activity reports, and student feedback. The research findings indicate that deep learning holds significant potential in supporting more personalized and responsive education. Deep learning models can be used to develop a learning system capable of adjusting learning content and teaching strategies based on each student's unique learning style. This can not only enhance learning effectiveness but also student motivation and satisfaction with the learning process. However, the study also finds that the application of deep learning in education faces challenges, including the requirement for large amounts of data for effective model training and ethical issues related to student data privacy. Collaboration between technicians, educators, and other stakeholders is required to overcome these challenges and fully leverage the potential of deep learning in education.
