Studi Multidisipliner: Jurnal Kajian Keislaman (Journal of Islamic Studies) published by Postgraduate IAIN Padangsidimpuan (now the status has changed to State Islamic University Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan). This journal was started in 2014, when it was still in the form of P-ISSN: 2355-7850 published twice a year, namely in June and December. But then this journal is already in the form of E-ISSN: 2477-0280, so the management of this journal is now OJS and nationally accredited. The focus and scope of this journal is research related to Islamic Education, Islamic Law, Islamic Economics, Islamic Broadcasting Communication, Islamic Thought and Philosophy, Islamic History. Authors can submit articles to this journal by reading the template articles first.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the absence of the bride-to-be in the practice of marriage ceremony on the marriage administrative process and analyze its impact through the application of Gustav Radbruch's Theory of Legal Certainty. This research is a type of empirical juridical research using a qualitative descriptive approach. The research was conducted at KUA, Ringinrejo District, Kediri Regency with the object of research being the Head of KUA as an informant who can provide information about the absence of the bride-to-be in the practice of marriage rapak. In this study, the researcher used primary and secondary data sources. The data collection methods used are interviews and documentation. The data analysis methods used are data processing, data classification, data analysis, and conclusion. The main findings of this study show that in KUA Ringinrejo District there is flexibility when the prospective husband is unable to attend the practice of marriage cards such as through representatives or confirmation via telephone. Although administratively this allows the continuation of the marriage process, from the perspective of Gustav Radbruch's theory of Legal Certainty, which includes justice, utility, and legal certainty, it is found that the absence of the bride-to-be has the potential to cause legal vulnerability, especially related to the legitimacy and administration of the marriage. This research contributes to the discourse on marriage administration reform and the urgency of establishing more adaptive regulations in ensuring legal certainty in the midst of social dynamics of society.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze Islamic Education Policy in the Netherlands. The study from this study uses a literature review where the literature taken is in accordance with the subject of discussion and analyzed in depth so that conclusions and findings can be drawn in the research. Literature taken from books, journal articles, both national and international, and other literature. The result of this research is that Islamic education in the Netherlands is a complex issue that involves various challenges and opportunities. The Dutch government's policy provides space for Islamic religious education, but still emphasizes the importance of tolerance, social integration, and countering radicalization. Despite the various challenges in the implementation of this policy, with the right solutions, Islamic education can be an important instrument to support the development of an educated, tolerant and well-integrated generation of Muslims in Dutch society.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the genealogy and existence of the Mursyid Guru in the Thariqat Qadiriyah Naqsyabandiyah (TQN) at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School. This research uses the library research method, namely by examining and analyzing various relevant literature sources, such as books, scientific journals, manuscripts, official documents, and written works that discuss TQN and spiritual leadership (kemursyidan) at the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School. Data analysis is carried out in a descriptive-qualitative manner through a content analysis approach to reveal the patterns, meanings, and understandings contained in the text. Data is analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the transfer of the title of chastity in TQN Pontren Suryalaya is not biological hereditary as in the system of inheritance of power, but based on spiritual qualities and certain characteristics that a person must have. Therefore, not every individual can be appointed as a mursyid. An in-depth understanding of the criteria and process for appointing mursyid is an important aspect in the preservation and practice of the teachings of TQN Pontren Suryalaya, although in the current era there are many mursyid claims that are not in accordance with these principles. The contribution of this research is to provide a deeper conceptual understanding of the spiritual leadership system in TQN Pontren Suryalaya. This research can also be an important reference for academics, practitioners of the tariqat, and the general public in distinguishing between spiritually valid murshid and unfounded murshid claims.

Abstract

Marriage is sunnatullah which is the basis for human survival, and is regulated by religious and state laws. In Indonesia, regulations related to marriage registration are regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Religion No. 30 of 2024, which covers marriage registration procedures, including the examination of marriage files. One of the interesting aspects to be studied in the regulation is article 6 which requires the removal of all face barriers when examining marriage files, then what about women who wear veils, which has the potential to pose challenges in identity validation. This study aims to analyze the views of the Head of KUA regarding the Regulation of the Minister of Religion No. 30 of 2024 in KUA, Kedungkandang District, Malang City in the examination of marriage files for veiled women. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of empirical research, collecting data through structured interviews with the Head of KUA and analysis of related documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of these regulations often faces challenges in terms of legal interpretation and cultural sensitivity. The Head of KUA in Kedungkandang District tends to prioritize a balance between administrative fulfillment and respect for religious rights and personal freedom without having to override existing regulations, even though there are differences of opinion among the relevant officials. These findings provide important insights into the implementation of laws that are inclusive and sensitive to the cultural and religious diversity of Communities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the issue of despair through the study of surah Al-Insyirah from the perspective of Mushaf Al-Qur'an Tadabbur Maiyah Padhangmbulan by Ahmad Fuad Effendi and Muhammad Ainun Nadjib which is colored by the nuances of Maiyah culture. In this case the Maiyah congregation has a role as a positive motivation and participates as a form of attention to the community without distinguishing a particular group and background. The problem of despair is a problem that is currently rife in society. So that the impact of this increasing problem of despair really requires serious community attention. Mushaf Al-Qur'an Tadabbur Maiyah Padhangmbulan offers efforts as a solution in solving various life problems, one of which is facing despair so that it can be solved and is not sustainable. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a literature approach to understand the relevance of this verse to social capital in Islam. The results of this study indicate that tadabbur surah Al-Insyirah can help individuals in overcoming the problem of despair, in accordance with the principles adopted by Maiyah congregations, namely facing life problems by emphasizing the importance of togetherness, empathy, and openness in addressing problems

Abstract

This research focuses on the impact of credit and market risk, capital, and liquidity factors on the efficiency of Islamic banks operating under Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) in Malaysia. Based on Bank Islam Berhad, CIMB Islamic Berhad, and Maybank Islamic Berhad, the study examines how these variables influence profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA). Upon dealing with the quantitative approach, the findings contrast the literature in that risk constituents while varied in their significance have an equal significance on overall profitability. This study contributes to the literature on Islamic finance by providing practical recommendations for enhancing risk management and ensuring financial sustainability in the Islamic banking sector.

Abstract

AbstrakThe phenomenon of single mothers is increasing and poses its own challenges in the child-rearing process, especially in character formation and academic achievement. This condition is an important issue considering the dual role that must be carried out by single mothers, both as breadwinners and as main educators in the family environment. This study aims to examine the parenting patterns of single mothers from the perspective of Islamic values and analyze their impact on children's education in schools. The method used in this study is library research, by examining various scientific literature, books, journals, and relevant documents that discuss parenting in a single mother family, Islamic values in parenting, and the family's contribution to the success of children's education. The data analysis technique used is thematic analysis, which includes the process of data reduction, categorization, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the resilience, discipline, and dedication shown by single mothers in carrying out parenting roles based on Islamic values contribute positively to child development. These findings make an important contribution to the understanding that the application of Islamic values in the parenting pattern of single mothers can be an effective strategy in supporting the success of children's education, while strengthening their character foundation in the midst of the challenges of modern life.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze curriculum development strategies in Islamic universities in the digital era, focusing on case studies at STAI Darul Falah Cililin, West Bandung. The approach used is qualitative by using a descriptive analysis approach. The results of the study show that the curriculum development process at the institution still faces various challenges, ranging from the limitations of digital infrastructure, the lack of technology training for educators, to the lack of integration of digital-based critical thinking values in the curriculum. Nevertheless, there is optimism among academics about the potential of technology as a medium for da'wah and the enrichment of Islamic learning. Therefore, curriculum development strategies in the digital era need to be directed at strengthening institutional policies, integrating technology in learning, and intensive training for educators. With this strategy, Islamic education can be more adaptive, relevant, and able to produce graduates who think critically, creatively, and have digital competence.

Abstract

This research aims to find the phenomenon of Muslim life that is still carried out in daily life because of ancestral customs that are still inherent and thick in the Mentawai community. The research method used in this study is qualitative using a descriptive analysis approach. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview technique with open-ended questions. This technique is used to give the informant the freedom to answer according to their understanding, knowledge, and experience. The collected data was then analyzed using qualitative data analysis of the Miles and Huberman technique through three stages, namely data reduction, data exposure, and conclusion drawing and verification. This research found the patterns or thought events of Mentawai Muslims that are still influenced by ancestral culture. The results of the above study show that there is a cultural syncretism between Islamic teachings and local customs that form unique characteristics in the religious practices of the Mentawai people. This is reflected in the rituals, traditions, and social norms that are carried out, which at the same time strengthen the cultural identity as well as the faith of Muslims in the region. These findings make an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of the relationship between religion and culture in the context of indigenous peoples, as well as their implications for the preservation of cultural heritage

Abstract

This study examines multicultural approaches in Islamic Religious Education with an emphasis on developing tolerance, inclusion, and understanding of students' religious practices and cultural backgrounds. In practice, the application of a multicultural approach in Islamic Religious Education still faces various challenges in the field. Although the curriculum and education policies point to the importance of building attitudes of tolerance, inclusion, and understanding of religious and cultural diversity. This research uses the library research method. The data sources used include scientific books, academic journals, articles, education policy documents, and the results of previous research that discuss the concepts of multiculturalism, religious education, and the development of the values of tolerance, inclusion, and understanding of cultural and religious diversity. The data analysis technique used is content analysis, which aims to identify, understand, and critically examine various concepts, approaches, and implementation of multicultural values in the context of Islamic Religious Education. The results of the study show that the multicultural approach in Islamic Religious Education has great potential in forming attitudes of tolerance, inclusion, and understanding of diversity among students. In his contribution, it was found that this approach emphasizes not only the cognitive aspects of understanding religious teachings, but also the affective and social aspects that encourage appreciation for students' cultural differences, beliefs, and social backgrounds.
