Studi Multidisipliner: Jurnal Kajian Keislaman (Journal of Islamic Studies) published by Postgraduate IAIN Padangsidimpuan (now the status has changed to State Islamic University Syekh Ali Hasan Ahmad Addary Padangsidimpuan). This journal was started in 2014, when it was still in the form of P-ISSN: 2355-7850 published twice a year, namely in June and December. But then this journal is already in the form of E-ISSN: 2477-0280, so the management of this journal is now OJS and nationally accredited. The focus and scope of this journal is research related to Islamic Education, Islamic Law, Islamic Economics, Islamic Broadcasting Communication, Islamic Thought and Philosophy, Islamic History. Authors can submit articles to this journal by reading the template articles first.

Abstract

There is one important component that raises doubts for capital owners who will invest in Islamic mutual funds, namely the use of conventional banks as custodian banks. The purpose of this study is to find out how sharia economic law reviews conventional banks as custodian banks. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data is obtained from interviewing several potential investors, various regulations related to Islamic mutual funds and custodian banks, as well as literature that reviews the principles of muamalah. It was found that conventional banks that become custodian banks must obtain an application from the Financial Services Authority. To ensure the sharia of this business activity, a cleaning process is set up to remove non-halal elements in the form of interest and other non-sharia risks that may come from the activities of related companies. The reluctance to become an investor is caused by the lack of knowledge about the mechanism of Islamic mutual funds for which literacy is needed. However, there are some potential investors who consistently want the bank used is an Islamic bank. Regulations are needed that require the use of Islamic banks as the only custodian bank, but it must be done carefully and gradually according to the readiness of the Islamic bank in question.

Abstract

Indonesia is experiencing a decline in marriage rates along with a high divorce rate. At the same time, a trend emerged on social media called Marriage Is Scary. The Marriage Is Scary trend expresses the young generation's fear of marriage. This research aims to analyze the Marriage Is Scary phenomenon from the perspective of Islamic law and positive law in Indonesia. The method used is normative legal research with a conceptual and statutory approach. The results of this study show that marriage in Islam has a variety of laws, which can be sunnah, obligatory, makruh, haram, and mubah. The young generation's fear of marriage, when related to the law of marriage in Islam, must first be seen as the cause of this fear. In essence, Islam emphasizes the readiness to carry out marriage from various aspects. In terms of positive law, Indonesia has multiple regulations, such as the Marriage Law, the Law on the Elimination of Domestic Violence, and the Marriage Guidance Program as a form of the government's commitment to creating an environment conducive to healthy and ideal marriages, as well as an answer to the Marriage Is Scary trend.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the application of integrative holistic education goals in early childhood at Yaa Bunayya Kindergarten, Bima City. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data sources used in this study are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The primary data source is the Principal and PIAUD Teacher Yaa Bunayya Bima City. The secondary data sources are data obtained from graphic documents, photographs, films, video recordings, objects and others that can enrich primary data for research collected according to the author's needs. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of integrative holistic education at Yaa Bunayya Kindergarten in Bima City has successfully achieved the expected goals. Children experience significant development in various aspects, including physical, cognitive, social-emotional, language, moral, independence and responsibility. A comprehensive and contextualized approach that considers local culture has a positive impact on children's development. A supportive, safe and loving learning environment is a key cornerstone in achieving these outcomes. The research also shows the importance of collaboration between schools, teachers, parents and communities in supporting integrative holistic education and the need for continuous evaluation to ensure sustainability and improvement of education quality.

Abstract

This study explores the evolution of interpretive approaches in the study of the Qur'an, emphasizing their historical progression and contemporary relevance. Using qualitative library research, primary data were sourced from classical and contemporary exegesis texts, while secondary data included scholarly works and related studies. Analytical methods involved content and interpretive analysis. The findings reveal a dynamic development of Qur'anic exegesis, beginning with the Prophet Muhammad's oral interpretations, evolving through the companions' systematic methods, and culminating in modern interdisciplinary approaches. Contemporary methods, such as hermeneutics, thematic analysis, and maqasid al-shari'ah-based exegesis, highlight a shift toward contextual understanding and integration of social sciences and sciences in interpretation. These methodologies address pressing modern issues, including gender equality, environmental sustainability, and digital literacy, aligning Qur'anic principles with current societal needs. The study underscores the critical role of modern exegetical approaches in bridging traditional Islamic scholarship with contemporary challenges, ensuring the Qur'an's continued relevance in guiding ethical, social, and scientific endeavors.

Abstract

Al-Bidayah wa An-Nihayah is one of Ibn Kathir's monumental works covering the history of mankind from the creation of Adam to his time. This book is an encyclopedia of Islamic history written in an interesting and detailed writing style. In the study of the text of this book, several interesting things can be found, including: Ibn Kathir's critical and objective writing methodology in presenting historical events. He tried to avoid the element of subjectivity by referring to credible primary sources. The breadth of the scope of the discussion is not only limited to the history of Islam, but also includes the history of previous peoples such as the Prophets, the Romans, Persians, and others. Ibn Kathir's in-depth analysis of various historical events and their contextualization with the situation of his time. Ibn Kathir's writing style is communicative so that it is easily understood by the reader. The study of the text of this book can provide a comprehensive understanding of the history of mankind, especially from an Islamic perspective. In addition, this book can also be used as an important reference for the study of Islamic history.

Abstract

This study aims to examine hadith as a source of Islamic law, its role and significance. This study uses a library research type. The data analysis technique used in this study is the content analysis method, which is a technique used to identify each word, sentence in a text or series of texts, concepts, or themes. Researchers use data sources from books and analyze components related to the formulation of the problem. The results of this study explain that hadith is everything that comes from the Prophet Muhammad, both the words, actions, or approvals of the Prophet Muhammad, which are prescribed to humans. Hadith also has an important role as the second source of law and a guide to life for Muslims, after the Qur'an. Not only that, some important aspects of hadith in the lives of Muslims include providing explanations and details of the Qur'an, as a guide to morals and ethics, can strengthen a person's faith, and can build social harmony. Therefore, understanding hadith is very important for Muslims to build a life that is in harmony with Islamic teachings and create a harmonious and civilized society.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to discuss how to building student character or morals and teacher creativity in using environmental media in social studies learning as well as looking at the supporting and inhibiting factors for teachers in using the environment as a learning medium at SMA Negeri 2 Soyo Jaya, North Morowali. The environment as a learning medium can make it easier for teachers to convey material and can be easily understood by students because it is something that is familiar to students. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that the environment as a learning medium can shape students' character or morals well, students can learn from the surrounding environment directly so that students can do positive things in the community environment, students can easily understand the material being taught because the environment is something that is not unfamiliar to students. Supporting and inhibiting factors in forming student character are influenced by two factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Based on research results, the environment as a learning medium benefits teachers and students, students can easily understand the material and teachers can also easily explain the material

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of Islamic educational values, namely rahmah (compassion), ukhuwah (brotherhood), and adl (justice), in strengthening attitudes of tolerance among madrasa and Islamic-based school students in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. A quantitative approach was used in this research involving 300 students as samples. Data was collected through questionnaires tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The results of the research show that the values of rahmah, ukhuwah, and adl have a significant effect on students' tolerance attitudes, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 48%, which means that 48% of the variation in students' tolerance attitudes can be explained by the application of these values. The value of mercy has the greatest contribution in forming an attitude of tolerance, followed by ukhuwah and adl. However, challenges such as a lack of understanding of pluralism and a less than dialogical teaching approach are still obstacles in optimizing educational tolerance. This research concludes that Islamic education, through applying the values of mercy, ukhuwah, and adal, has great potential in forming a tolerant generation. Therefore, it is recommended that a more inclusive curriculum be developed, teacher training in teaching pluralism strengthened, and collaboration between Islamic and general education institutions increased.

Abstract

This study discusses the Problems of Islamic Religious Education Learning at SMK Negeri 3 Palu, the main problem in this thesis contains the formulation of the problem of How the Problems of Islamic Religious Education Learning at SMK Negeri 3 Palu, and how the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in solving the Problems of Islamic Religious Education Learning at SMK Negeri 3 Palu, the purpose of the research is to find out the Problems of Islamic Religious Education Learning at SMK Negeri 3 Palu,  and to find out the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in solving Islamic Religious Education Learning Problems at SMK Negeri 3 Palu. To answer these problems, the author uses a qualitative method in this study, which is sourced from field research and data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. To test the validity of the data using Extension of participation, Presistent observation, and Triangulation. The results of the research in the discussion of this thesis are about the Problems of Learning Islamic Religious Education at SMK Negeri 3 Palu various problems found in teaching and learning activities, be it related to the application of methods, mastery of materials, problems with facilities and infrastructure to the media used. The suggestions from this article are, Islamic Religious Education needs to receive attention from various parties. There needs to be cooperation between one party and another.

Abstract

services at Nurul Jadid Junior High School. Open, transparent, and sustainable communication plays an important role in building trust between the school, parents, and the community. It also encourages increased parental participation in children's education and strengthens public support for school efforts to improve the quality of educational services. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, involving the principal, vice principal for curriculum, teachers, and students as informants. The results of the study show that interpersonal communication has a strategic role, namely as a tool to provide a deep understanding of school policies and programs, provide constructive feedback, create effective collaboration between teachers and parents, and manage conflicts productively. These findings confirm that effective interpersonal communication not only improves relationships between stakeholders, but also contributes significantly to improving the quality of educational services in schools
