Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Grade V students (n=49) in Cultural Arts, particularly dance, through the implementation of the Experiential Learning model at SD Negeri 16 Cakranegara. The low classical completeness rate of 37% in the pre-cycle stage served as the background of this study. The Experiential Learning model was selected because it emphasizes direct experience as the core of the learning process, which aligns with the students' dominant kinesthetic intelligence. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles, each comprising the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, motivation questionnaires, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics with a success indicator of ≥80%. The results demonstrated a consistent improvement from 37% in the pre-cycle to 69% in Cycle I, and 92% in Cycle II, indicating that the Experiential Learning model is effective in improving dance learning outcomes in elementary school in accordance with students' kinesthetic intelligence.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has influenced the fashion industry, especially in the process of finding inspiration and developing fashion designs. One of the digital platforms widely used by fashion students and designers is Pinterest. This article aims to explain the role of Pinterest as a source of inspiration in fashion design, identify features that support the creative process, and analyze its influence, advantages, and ethical use in the fashion industry. The research method used is a literature review with a content analysis approach through the study of various books, journals, and relevant scientific articles. The results show that Pinterest helps users find visual references, create moodboards, follow fashion trends, and develop design creativity through features such as pins, boards, save inspiration, and visual search. However, the use of Pinterest also has risks such as plagiarism and design fixation when users rely too heavily on existing references without developing original ideas. Therefore, the use of Pinterest should be accompanied by an understanding of digital inspiration ethics to maintain creativity and originality in fashion design

Abstract

Kain Ulos is one of the cultural heritages of the Batak community that has symbolic values and philosophical meanings in traditional life. Along with the development of modernization, the use of ulos cloth has changed from traditional ceremonial fabric into part of modern fashion. This study aims to determine the utilization of ulos cloth in modern fashion as an effort to preserve Batak culture in the modernization era. The research method used is a literature review by examining various written sources such as journals, books, and scientific articles related to the research topic. Data collection was carried out using the content analysis method through reviewing various literature sources. The results of the study indicate that the application of ulos cloth in various modern fashion products such as ready-to-wear clothing, outerwear, skirts, bags, and accessories can increase public interest, especially among younger generations, in using traditional fabrics. Besides contributing to cultural preservation, the use of ulos in modern fashion also has a positive impact on the development of the creative industry and the economy of local craftsmen. Therefore, fashion design innovations using ulos cloth need to continue to be developed while still paying attention to the cultural values and symbolic meanings contained in each ulos motif.

Abstract

Slang language is a linguistic variation that develops within particular social groups to express identity and solidarity in communication. This study aims to describe the forms, meanings, and contexts of slang language used in the WhatsApp group communication of the 2025 cohort of Medical Faculty students at Universitas Islam Al Azhar. A descriptive qualitative method with a sociolinguistic approach was employed. Data were collected from WhatsApp conversations and analysed through data reduction, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal four forms of slang: abbreviations, wordplay, terms of address, and foreign or regional vocabulary. The meanings primarily reflect invitations and refusals, while their use is closely associated with intimacy, communication efficiency, group identity, linguistic creativity, and contemporary language trends. These findings indicate that slang functions as a marker of social identity and solidarity in students' digital communication.

Abstract

This research examines the assessment of learning outcomes in the Merdeka Curriculum as a systematic process to evaluate the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor achievements of students. Assessment not only determines graduation but also provides feedback for teachers and students to improve learning. The research uses a literature study method with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from books, SINTA-accredited scientific journals from 2020–2026, and policy documents, specifically Permendikbudristek Number 21 of 2022. Data analysis used content analysis through data reduction, systematic data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study results indicate that quality assessment must be valid, objective, fair, integrated, comprehensive, and accountable, and include diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments. Further research is recommended to examine the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum assessment in various schools at the primary and secondary education levels, involving a variety of subjects, school contexts, and teacher readiness.

Abstract

This study examines the role of budget planning and madrasah management in improving educational governance at Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Ishlah Tembelok, Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara. It applies a qualitative case study design through institutional document review, literature analysis, and comparative analysis of related studies. The analytical framework integrates School-Based Management, educational budget planning, and Islamic financial accountability based on amanah, siddiq, and syura. Findings show that effective educational governance depends on an integrated budget cycle covering planning, implementation, supervision, and evaluation conducted in a participatory, transparent, and accountable manner. The combination of kiai leadership and modern governance strengthens madrasah managerial capacity. The pesantren cooperative functions as an alternative funding source that supports fiscal independence. It recommends strengthening financial personnel, digitalizing reporting systems, and integrating spiritual values with good governance principles.

Abstract

The tradition of ruwat rambut gimbal is a local wisdom of the Dieng community that contains character values ​​and has the potential to be used as a culture-based learning resource. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia based on the ruwat rambut gimbal tradition for illustration learning for grade VIII junior high school students by integrating the values ​​of Strengthening Character Education (PPK). The study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The results showed that multimedia integrates religious values, independence, mutual cooperation, responsibility, social care, and environmental care. The validation results obtained a percentage of 91.11% from material experts and 95.78% from media experts with a very feasible category. The trial on 32 students obtained a percentage of 94.04% with a very feasible category, indicating that multimedia is able to support illustration learning while introducing local culture and character values. The developed interactive multimedia is suitable for use as a local culture-based Arts and Culture learning medium.

Abstract

Pancasila Education in the digital era faces two major challenges: cyber polarization and the increasing adoption of hybrid learning. This critical qualitative case study examines pedagogical governance and the learning experiences of lecturers and students in negotiating Pancasila values within hybrid learning environments supported by a Learning Management System (LMS). Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Generation Z students, lecturers, and academic staff, participatory observation of synchronous and asynchronous learning, and institutional policy document analysis. The findings identify three key issues: (1) administrative technofetishism, where value education is reduced to quantitative LMS indicators; (2) existential alienation, in which limited face-to-face interaction weakens empathy and meaningful value internalization; and (3) ethical schizophrenia, reflected in the gap between normative compliance in LMS activities and students’ actual behavior on social media. The study concludes that current hybrid learning promotes superficial internalization of Pancasila values. It recommends reconstructing instructional practices through Value-Based Critical Digital Pedagogy emphasizing dialogic engagement, reflective learning, and authentic ethical assessment.
