Al-Qalam: Jurnal Kajian Islam dan Pendidikan merupakan jurnal peer-reviewed open-access yang didirikan untuk menyebarluaskan pengetahuan mutakhir di bidang kajian islam dan pendidikan islam. Para editor pada akan meninjau semua naskah yang dikirimkan yang kemudian dievaluasi oleh minimal dua Peninjau melalui proses peninjauan double-blind. Abstract

This manuscript is a study aimed at analyzing the implementation of the Tasmi' method in the Qur'an memorization program at SDUT Masyitoh Bandungrejo. The Tasmi' method is one of the techniques used to improve students' ability to memorize the Qur'an. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Tasmi' method in the Qur'an memorization program at SDUT Masyitoh Bandungrejo has been running effectively. Teachers have applied the Tasmi' method efficiently to enhance their students' Qur'an memorization skills. In addition, the students have shown high motivation and interest in memorizing the Qur'an. This study concludes that the implementation of the Tasmi' method in the memorization program can significantly improve students’ Qur'an memorization abilities. Therefore, the Tasmi' method can be considered an effective method for teaching Qur'an memorization (Tahfidz).

Abstract

Digital transformation in the world of education has driven innovation in learning evaluation methods, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to examine the use of the Quizizz application as an adaptive measuring tool in evaluating PAI learning. By using a literature review study approach such as from several journals or books or other references. The results of the study show that Quizizz is able to increase student participation, provide instant feedback, and adjust the level of difficulty of questions based on the abilities of the participants. In addition, this platform supports more interactive and enjoyable learning without reducing the essence of cognitive or affective assessment in PAI. Optimizing Quizizz also helps teachers analyze learning outcomes quickly and accurately. In conclusion, digitalization of evaluation through Quizizz is an effective strategy for creating adaptive, efficient, and relevant evaluations to the needs of the digital generation.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the figure of Prof. Dr. Mahmud Yunus, a prominent scholar in Islamic education known for his educational concepts and his role as a pioneer of Islamic education in Indonesia. He has played a significant role in shaping the concept of Islamic education. The purpose of this research is to examine the concepts and leadership styles practiced by Prof. Dr. Mahmud Yunus, who is regarded as one of the pioneers of Islamic education in Indonesia. The research employs a library research approach, which involves gathering data and information from resources available in libraries, such as documents, historical accounts, and books related to the subject figure. The methodology used is qualitative, focusing on describing the leadership concepts and styles of Mahmud Yunus. The data sources include primary and secondary materials, obtained from interviews with alumni and written works about Mahmud Yunus. The findings reveal that Mahmud Yunus demonstrated a leadership concept that embodies noble character, visionary thinking, confidence, a foundation of knowledge and faith, integrity, creativity, and innovation. His leadership style reflects qualities such as fathanah (wisdom), amanah (trustworthiness), siddiq (truthfulness), and tabligh (effective communication). Furthermore, his leadership style is transformational, which makes it highly ideal and applicable across different times. Even today, his leadership principles continue to serve as a timeless reference and guide.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an increase in students' learning motivation after being given treatment using edpuzzel learning media. The type of research is quantitative with an experimental approach. The subjects of the study were grade VIII students. The data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique was statistical testing. The results of the study showed that edpuzzel learning media can increase students' learning motivation. The results of the analysis carried out by researchers using the SPSS version 25 application by comparing the pretest and posttest values ​​obtained a mean value of the pre-test of 84.65, a maximum value of 88.00, and a minimum value of 76.0. While the post-test value can be obtained a mean value of 89.45, a maximum value of 97.00 and a minimum value of 82.00. The pre-test and post-test values ​​above show that there is a significant difference between before and after being given treatment using edpuzzel learning media in the subject of aqidah akhlak. In addition, the value of the t-test results, obtained a sig value = 0.000, which means it is smaller than α 0.05. Thus, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Character of students who are starting to decline from Islamic values ​​requires action from educators so they need to strengthen religious moderation through AIK courses. The aims of this research are to describe: 1) the strategy for strengthening religious moderation education through the Muhammadiyah al-Islam course at the PAI UNISMUH Makassar Study Program, and 2) the obstacles faced in strengthening religious moderation education through the Muhammadiyah al-Islam course. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted during March-May 2024 at UNISMUH Makassar. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. The subjects of this research were five people, including two lecturers who taught the Al-Islam Kemuhammadiyahan, Deputy Chancellor IV for AIK, and two students of PAI study program. The research results show that: 1) religious moderation is implemented by lecturers through several strategies, including strengthening neutral attitudes; fair attitude; strengthening the character of tolerance; deliberation; reform; pioneer; help each other; non-violence; and respect for culture. 2) The obstacle faced is diversity of understanding because the condition of the large population in universities produces a variety of individuals with different understandings, not all of whom agree with Muhammadiyah's understanding, some even hate Muhammadiyah.

Abstract

This study explores integrating philosophical ethics and prophetic values ​​in Islamic education to realize humanistic, just, and transformative education. Philosophical ethics originate from human rationality and thought, while prophetic values ​​originate from Islamic teachings. By combining the two, Islamic education can be a vehicle for the formation of noble character, social sensitivity, spiritual intelligence, and intellectual skills. This study is qualitative, using a literature study approach and content analysis of related literature. The results of this study reveal that the relationship between philosophical ethics and prophetic values ​​prioritizes goodness, truth, good morals, good character, and humanitarian values, and the difference lies in the source of both. Philosophical ethics originate from socio-culture, human rational foundations, and other logics of goodness, while prophetic values ​​originate from religious teachings, namely the Qur'an and Hadith. Humanistic education glorifies human dignity and develops its potential as a whole. Fair education guarantees equal access and treatment without discrimination. Meanwhile, transformative education equips students as agents of positive change in society. This concept is expected to produce an intelligent generation with noble character. Apart from academic intelligence, education also aims to form a good personality and character following Islamic principles

Abstract

Pentingnya integrasi budaya Siri’ Na Pacce dalam membentuk karakter santri di Pesantren Ujung Lare’ Parepare, di tengah tantangan modernisasi yang cenderung menggerus nilai-nilai lokal dan moralitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis eksistensi budaya Siri' Na Pacce berperan dalam membentuk karakter dan perilaku santri di Pesantren Ujung Lare’ Parepare dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi untuk mengeksplorasi eksistensi budaya Siri’ Na Pacce dan bagaimana santri di Pesantren Ujung Lare’ Parepare menginternalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Eksistensi budaya Siri’ Na Pacce di Pesantren Ujung Lare’ Parepare berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter santri dan penguatan nilai-nilai lokal dalam pendidikan agama, di mana Siri’ mengajarkan moralitas dan integritas, sedangkan Pacce mendorong empati dan solidaritas terhadap sesama. Melalui berbagai aktivitas dan pengajaran, kedua nilai ini diinternalisasi untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung perkembangan karakter santri serta hubungan harmonis dengan masyarakat. Selain fokus pada pengajaran ilmu agama, penerapan nilai Siri’ Na Pacce juga memperkuat identitas budaya lokal. Budaya Siri' Na Pacce di Pesantren Ujung Lare' Parepare berperan dalam membentuk karakter santri melalui nilai Siri' (harga diri dan kehormatan) serta Pacce (empati dan solidaritas), yang diinternalisasi melalui interaksi sehari-hari dan kegiatan pesantren. Abstract

This investigation conducted a comprehensive Literature Review from multiple sources like scientific publications, books, and studies that analyze the effectiveness of PPKn learning through enhanced P5's role is to enhance the critical thinking abilities of elementary school students. Through the lens of critical theory various empirical investigations, this investigation revealed consistent trends, patterns, and findings regarding the effectiveness of P5. The findings of the investigation indicate that P5 has the potential to be a powerful base for creating. its effectiveness in inspiring students to think critically, but its success is primarily based on the innovative design of learning assistance from the school's environment, and active participation by students. This investigation suggests that it's necessary to additional research to investigate the potential of P5 in a larger learning context.

Abstract

This research aims to review, describe, and analyze the Mbolo Rasa culture within the framework of interfaith moderation in Bima. The research method used is a mixed-method approach, with an Explanatory Sequential Design. Data collected was then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's theory through the following steps: 1) data reduction, 2) data display, and 3) conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that Mbolo Rasa has a significant impact on building social harmony and interfaith cohesion. By applying the values of mutual cooperation and involving community leaders, this tradition becomes an effective tool for strengthening solidarity and addressing social conflicts. From a theoretical perspective, Mbolo Rasa meets the criteria for social capital by reinforcing social bonds, leveraging intergroup contact to foster tolerance, and developing collective action to solve common issues. These results show that local traditions can play an important role in promoting peace and social stability, especially in religiously diverse communities.

Abstract

Islamic education has an important role to play in improving mental well-being and reducing burnout among students. Burnout, which is characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and decreased personal achievement, is often caused by academic pressure and lack of social support. This research uses the literature study method to collect and analyze information related to optimizing Islamic education in the context of mental well-being and reducing burnout among students. Islamic education emphasizes spiritual and moral values, such as empathy, patience, gratitude and tawakkal, which can help students manage stress and build positive social relationships. With a holistic approach that integrates mental health programs into the school culture, such as mindfulness practices and peer support, Islamic education can create a supportive learning environment. In addition, the concepts of destiny, qadha and qadar in Islam provide a deep understanding of life and the challenges faced. This research used the literature study method to analyze related information, and found that the integration of Islamic values in the education curriculum can prevent burnout and improve students' mental health. Social support from parents, teachers and the community also contributes to mental wellbeing, resulting in a resilient generation that contributes positively to society.
