Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyajikan temuan mengenai pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif Tipe Make a Matchterhadap motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kuantitatif dan eksperimental. Penelitian ini menggunakan ukuran sampel sebanyak 56 siswa. Kelas VD sebagai kelompok eksperimen, sedangkan kelas VC sebagai kelompok kontrol. Dalam penelitian ini, para peneliti melakukan kerja lapangan untuk terlibat dalam penerapan langsung konten instruksional. Temuan penelitian penulis antara lain sebagai berikut: 1) Siswa yang dibimbing melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif mencocokkan menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dalam domain matematika; 2) Siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional menunjukkan tingkat motivasi matematika yang cukup baik; 3) Penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Make a Match. Terdapat kesenjangan yang terlihat dalam motivasi memperoleh pengetahuan matematika antara siswa yang diinstruksikan menggunakan model pembelajaran khusus ini dan mereka yang mengikuti model pembelajaran konvensional. Namun demikian, jika dikaji pada ranah motivasi belajar siswa, terlihat bahwa kedua model pembelajaran tersebut berpotensi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Learning in the 21st century cannot be separated from the influence of digital technology. Learning to understand the contents of fairy tales through teachers reading fairy tales in front of the class is no longer suitable for students in the digital era. Therefore, further progress is needed in the use of learning media. Learning to understand the content of fairy tales using animated videos or audio-visual media can be an alternative method that teachers can use. Research comparing the effectiveness of using audiovisual and textual learning media to improve elementary school students' ability to understand the content of fairy tales was conducted at SDN Situraja. The research method used in this research is a quantitative method. Students' enthusiasm in learning to understand fairy tales using animated videos or audio-visual media will be better than learning to understand fairy tales in writing and reading in front of the class. This can be seen in the average ability of students to understand fairy tales. The average understanding ability of students after using learning media is 76.40, while the average ability to understand fairy tales before using it is 58.00, and the average ability of understanding students after using text media is 75.20, while the average ability students' understanding after using text media was 75.20, while the average students' understanding ability after using text media was 75.20, while the average students' understanding ability after using text media was 75.20. understanding the previous tale is 75.20. is 75.20. is 52.80. Apart from increasing students' ability to understand fairy tales at an average level, the use of animated video media also helps students become more active in the learning process. This can be seen when the teacher delivers By using 10-choice multiple choice questions before and after the broadcast, most students answered correctly the questions asked by the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the occurrence of reading literacy indicators in a set of Student Worksheets (LKPD) for elementary school students (grades 2, 3, 4, and 5) based on the Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create (RADEC) model at UPI Campus Purwakarta Laboratory Elementary School. A case study methodology was employed in this research. The analysis results demonstrate the dominance of Informational Texts in almost all cases, emphasizing the importance of mastering factual information in reading literacy. Personal and cultural contextual texts also play a central role in developing reading skills. On the other hand, in the cognitive process, the elements of evaluating and reflecting on information play a key role in advancing reading literacy. The research findings provide in-depth insights into the dynamics of learning in various classes and subjects. The implications of this analysis indicate the need to develop more focused and effective learning strategies, taking into account the unique characteristics of each class and subject. By expanding the scope of reading literacy understanding through diverse texts, including fiction, and integrating personal, social, and scientific dimensions, reading education at the elementary level can continue to evolve. This research serves as a starting point in the journey towards more empowered and integrated reading literacy education at UPI Campus Purwakarta Laboratory Elementary School.

Abstract

Given that reading is a key component of young students' learning of the English language, this study intends to examine teachers' perceptions on elementary students' English reading problems and the teaching strategies used in teaching English reading. The study collected data from six elementary school teachers who work in various Indonesian schools. Semi-structured interviews were employed in this study's qualitative research design, which was then analyzed thematically. The findings revealed that elementary students had a number of reading difficulties, including limited vocabulary, misspellings, and pronunciation errors. These difficulties were brought on by first language interference, demotivation, lack of focus, and lack of parental involvement. The interview results further revealed that teachers used game-based learning (GBL) to teach elementary-level English reading to provide a fun learning environment and a good first impression for the students. However, although GBL is strongly encouraged, the games utilized should be adapted for the age and academic ability of the young students. Thus, it is essential for teachers to develop lesson plans where the games need to be matched to the characteristics of the children while using GBL to teach English reading to increase the learning outcomes.

Abstract

Financial literacy is considered a type of literacy that is expected to improve students' thinking skills in managing finances. However, financial literacy learning has not been fully integrated into intracurricular learning activities and is still implicitly. Therefore the aim of this research is to provide a comprehensive picture of the implementation of financial literacy learning in elementary schools. This research used a case study method involving 3 teachers and 90 students from 3 elementary schools, including SDN Cipayung 04 Pagi Jakarta City, SDN Perwira 01 Bekasi City, and SDN Pisangan 02 Banten City. The research results show that the implementation of financial literacy learning is implicit, although the results of the independent curriculum analysis show the existence of financial literacy learning in natural and social sciences subjects. In practice, the learning process has not been carried out explicitly and systematically in the context of intracurricular learning, whereas in extracurricular learning, financial literacy learning is implemented through the Cha-Ching program. The implementation of this program is still partial and has not been implemented in various elementary schools. Based on the results of the perception survey from class teachers, it can be seen that students are not yet able to understand the differences between wants and needs; students are also not able to classify spending priorities; and students are deemed unable to identify basic terminology related to money. Therefore, it is hoped that the results of this research will encourage teachers to develop more innovative financial literacy.

Abstract

Adiwiyata School is a school that has environmental sustainability programs, one of which is organic waste processing. Organic waste processing not only supports adiwiyata school programs, but can be used as a learning medium for students. Previous research has discussed many learning media, but there are still few that raise the theme of the environment in creating learning media for students. For this reason, this study aims to find out how the use of organic waste as a learning medium in adiwiyata schools. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The study was conducted on 7 female teachers and 4 male teachers, principals and supported by relevant journals. After all the data is collected, data analysis is carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. After analyzing all data, it was found that the use of waste processing as a learning medium for students can be used as a new innovation for MIM PK Kertonatan Kartasura in implementing environment-based curriculum policies. Waste processing can be processed into new items that have use value and benefits for many people, especially it can be a learning medium that can be used by educators at MIM PK Kertonatan Kartosura. Special introduction and debriefing of waste processing skills into learning media can be done through online and offline seminars to all educators in adiwiyata school. Abstract

In this era, learning the Indonesian language is very important for children. Learning Indonesian is very important because it will enable children to understand the correct grammar. The purpose of the research is to find out the skills that students have in writing free poetry. The method used in this research uses qualitative descriptive through the type of case study research. Data collection in this study uses observation techniques, tests, and interviews. As well, descriptive analysis techniques are used in this study. This study shows that there are still some students who like and dislike Indonesian language lessons. Students still have difficulty composing poetry and understanding the elements of poetry, according to the skills of free poetry writing. However, there are still students who enjoy doing it and feel easy to write poetry. Therefore, the role of the teacher in helping students learn Indonesian and develop the ability to write poems freely is important. As well as the role of the school that improves the quality of teachers so that they can be professional and make learning activities interesting

Abstract

Mathematics has a higher level of difficulty and abstractness of concepts compared to other subjects. This can be seen from the low ability of mathematical connections. This research aims to determine students' mathematical connection abilities, determine students' difficulties in solving mathematics problems, and determine students' mathematical connection abilities in terms of students' difficulties in solving mathematics problems. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects in this study were 6 students who were categorized into 2 high ability students, 2 medium ability students and 2 low ability students. The data collection techniques used were tests, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that mathematical connection abilities are seen from the indicators of understanding the relationship between representations of the same concepts and procedures, recognizing and using connections between mathematical ideas, and using mathematics in everyday life. Students' difficulties in solving mathematics problems are based on high ability students: having difficulty using concepts, finding information in mathematical models and having difficulty calculating. Medium ability students experience difficulties: solving verbal problems, difficulty understanding concepts and principles. Low ability students experience difficulties: solving verbal problems, understanding concepts and procedures, difficulty using principles in calculating

Abstract

Student learning motivation plays an important role as a driving force in achieving learning goals. In the learning process, it is important to achieve a balance between the level of student learning motivation and the learning objectives. Each student has a different level of motivation to learn, this is influenced by several factors, one of which is family environmental factors. The purpose of this research was to determine the level of student motivation to learn based on the relationship between mothers and children in grade 5 at SDN 02 Dagen. The relationship studied is the close relationship between mother and child. This research uses a mixed method approach which combines elements of qualitative and quantitative methods. The research subjects were students in class 5 at SDN 02 Dagen and had been selected based on the criteria the researchers needed. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the closeness of mother and child on the level of children's learning motivation. Parents and teachers need to pay attention to and increase children's learning motivation at school, and the role of parents at home must also be carried out well

Abstract

There is a lot of news in the mass media about deviant behavior among students, including acts of bullying, physical violence, discriminating against friends, and so on. At SD FULLDAY DAQU SCHOOL, the school has tried to counteract these things by internalizing the character values of mutual cooperation in the school environment and in learning. This study aims to analyze the application of mutual cooperation character values that are internalized into civics education learning. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were headmaster, teachers and students of low class I, II, III. This study uses interviews, observation, and documentation in data collection. The analysis technique uses triangulation of data sources. The results showed that students were trained to give alms and pray for each other which were contained in the daqu method, cooperation, respect, and solidarity. In practice, teachers use ICT, PBL, cooperative, and contextual learning models. The learning methods used are lectures, demonstrations, singing, discussions, and class outings as well as the learning strategies used are contextual, inquiry and expository.
