Abstract

Whistleblowing plays an important role in maintaining organizational integrity, transparency, and accountability, particularly in service-sector organizations where unethical practices may affect employees, customers, and other stakeholders. This study aims to examine the effects of ethical leadership and organizational justice on whistleblowing intention through psychological safety. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. Data were collected from employees of service-sector organizations using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and purposive sampling. The proposed relationships were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), including measurement model, structural model, direct effect, and mediation analyses. The findings indicate that ethical leadership and organizational justice positively contribute to psychological safety and whistleblowing intention. Psychological safety also strengthens employees’ willingness to report organizational misconduct and mediates the relationships between ethical leadership and whistleblowing intention and between organizational justice and whistleblowing intention. These findings highlight psychological safety as an important mechanism through which ethical and fair organizational environments encourage employee reporting behavior. Service organizations should therefore strengthen ethical leadership, fair organizational procedures, confidential reporting channels, and whistleblower protection to support organizational integrity.

Abstract

Micro enterprises play an important role in economic development but often face resource, market access, and marketing capability constraints that limit their growth. This study examines the effects of Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) and Market Orientation (MO) on Business Growth (BG) through Entrepreneurial Marketing Capability (EMC) in micro enterprises. A quantitative explanatory research approach was employed with 150 micro-enterprise owners or primary managers selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that EO and MO have positive and significant effects on EMC and business growth. EMC also has a positive and significant effect on business growth and partially mediates the relationships between EO and business growth and between MO and business growth. These findings demonstrate that entrepreneurial behavior and market responsiveness become more effective in supporting growth when translated into flexible and opportunity-driven marketing capabilities. The study implies that micro enterprises should integrate innovation, proactiveness, market knowledge, and adaptive marketing practices to strengthen competitiveness and achieve sustainable business growth.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital investment platforms has increased retail investors’ access to capital market instruments while simultaneously exposing them to behavioral influences that may affect portfolio construction. This study examines the effects of behavioral bias and investment experience on portfolio diversification and investigates the mediating role of financial risk tolerance. A quantitative explanatory design was employed involving 286 active retail capital market investors selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using an online five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that behavioral bias negatively affects financial risk tolerance and portfolio diversification, whereas investment experience positively affects both financial risk tolerance and portfolio diversification. Financial risk tolerance also positively influences portfolio diversification and partially mediates the effects of behavioral bias and investment experience on diversification. These findings demonstrate that portfolio construction is shaped not only by rational risk-return considerations but also by psychological tendencies, accumulated market experience, and investors’ capacity to tolerate financial uncertainty. The study implies that investor education and digital investment platforms should integrate financial literacy, behavioral-bias awareness, risk-profile assessment, and diversification guidance to support more disciplined investment decisions.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital platforms has transformed how local brands and technology-enabled small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) establish relationships with consumers, making digital brand communities increasingly important for fostering participation, engagement, and advocacy. This study examines the effects of brand community identification and customer participation on brand advocacy through the mediating role of customer-brand engagement. A quantitative explanatory design was employed using data from 250 consumers who had purchased local-brand products and interacted with brands through social media, marketplaces, social commerce, or digital brand communities. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that brand community identification and customer participation positively influence customer-brand engagement, while customer-brand engagement has a significant positive effect on brand advocacy. Both identification and participation also directly influence advocacy, and customer-brand engagement partially mediates these relationships. Customer participation demonstrates a particularly important role in strengthening engagement and subsequent advocacy. These findings extend digital marketing and consumer behavior research by explaining how community-based interactions generate advocacy and provide practical guidance for local brands and SMEs seeking to shift from transaction-oriented digital marketing toward engagement-oriented community strategies.

Abstract

The growing complexity of contemporary workplaces requires employees to contribute not only through formal job responsibilities but also through constructive participation and active involvement in organizational processes. This study examines the effects of employee voice behavior and perceived organizational support on work performance through the mediating role of employee engagement among private-sector employees. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed using a cross-sectional survey of 250 employees selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that employee voice behavior and perceived organizational support positively influence employee engagement and work performance. Employee engagement also has a positive effect on work performance and partially mediates the relationships between employee voice behavior, perceived organizational support, and work performance. These findings demonstrate that constructive employee participation and supportive organizational practices can improve performance both directly and by strengthening employee engagement. The study implies that private-sector organizations should establish supportive communication environments, recognize employee contributions, encourage constructive voice, and strengthen employee engagement to achieve sustainable improvements in work performance.

Abstract

Employee well-being has become increasingly important as millennial employees seek work environments that provide purpose, meaningful experiences, and organizational belonging. This study examines the effects of workplace spirituality and meaningful work on employee well-being through organizational identification. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed involving 250 millennial employees from private and public organizations selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that workplace spirituality and meaningful work positively and significantly influence organizational identification and employee well-being. Organizational identification also has a significant positive effect on employee well-being. Furthermore, organizational identification partially mediates the relationships between workplace spirituality and employee well-being and between meaningful work and employee well-being. Meaningful work shows the strongest effect on organizational identification. These findings indicate that meaningful and spiritually supportive workplaces can enhance millennial employees’ well-being by strengthening their psychological connection with the organization.

Abstract

Retirement planning has become increasingly important for millennial workers who face financial uncertainty, competing financial priorities, and growing individual responsibility for future financial security. This study examines the effects of financial anxiety and money attitude on retirement planning through future financial self-continuity. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed using data from 200 millennial workers with regular employment or income who had not yet reached retirement age. Respondents were selected through purposive sampling, and data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. The proposed relationships were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that financial anxiety negatively affects future financial self-continuity and retirement planning, whereas money attitude positively affects both constructs. Future financial self-continuity positively influences retirement planning and partially mediates the effects of financial anxiety and money attitude on retirement planning. The model explains 61.7% of the variance in retirement planning. These findings highlight the importance of reducing financial anxiety, developing constructive money attitudes, and strengthening individuals’ psychological connection with their future financial selves to encourage sustainable retirement preparation among millennial workers.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed the way employees carry out their work, particularly among Generation Z, giving rise to challenges in balancing time and attention between work demands and life outside of work, which ultimately affects employees' job satisfaction. This study aims to determine the influence of digital work culture and work-life balance on the job satisfaction of Generation Z employees in DKI Jakarta, both individually and simultaneously. The study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 100 Generation Z employees selected through purposive sampling, with the criteria that respondents had worked for at least one year and utilized digital technology in their daily work activities. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, complemented by t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination, following classical assumption tests covering normality, heteroscedasticity, and multicollinearity. The results show that digital work culture and work-life balance each have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and together the two variables are able to explain 82.6% of the variation in job satisfaction. Based on these findings, companies need to create a supportive digital work environment and establish clearer boundaries between working hours and personal life in order to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.

Abstract

The digital transformation toward a cashless society has triggered intense competition among digital wallet providers in Indonesia, requiring companies to consistently ensure user satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the effect of ease of transaction and service speed, both partially and simultaneously, on GoPay consumer satisfaction. This study employs a quantitative approach. The population comprises residents in Pancoran District, South Jakarta, with a sample of 100 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique. Primary data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed via multiple linear regression using SPSS 20 software. The findings indicate that all instrument items are valid, reliable, and fulfill the classical assumption requirements. Partially, ease of transaction demonstrates a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction, and service speed also exhibits a positive and significant effect on consumer satisfaction. Simultaneously, both independent variables jointly exert a significant effect on consumer satisfaction. Therefore, optimizing ease of transaction and service speed serves as a vital factor in maintaining user loyalty and satisfaction.
