Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teachers in evaluating student learning outcomes through assessments based on social and cultural values. The research uses a library research method by analyzing various up-to-date scientific literatures, including journals, books, and relevant articles. The results show that teachers play a significant role as designers of assessment tools, facilitators of contextual learning, and reflective evaluators of students' diverse social and cultural backgrounds. Assessments that integrate values such as mutual cooperation, tolerance, and local wisdom have been proven to enhance student motivation, engagement, and character development. Therefore, assessments should encompass not only cognitive aspects but also affective and psychomotor dimensions. Despite the benefits of this approach, challenges still exist, such as limited teacher training, resources, and support from schools. Adequate training, relevant instrument development, and collaboration with the community are needed for the effective implementation of social-cultural-based assessments.

Abstract

Self-injury behavior is a form of behavior used to cope with emotions, problems, and emotional pain by hurting oneself without any direct intention of committing suicide. Other studies have found that adolescents have a high intention to engage in self-harming behavior due to various factors such as economic problems, family problems, lack of attention, or broken homes. The role of parents is very much needed in shaping the character of children and providing guidance, especially religious guidance. The method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative approach with subjects who were adolescents with self-injury behavior in Central Lombok Regency. Data analysis used data reduction, and data validation used source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that religious guidance and the application of effective communication patterns can reduce the potential for self-harm among adolescents. There was a decrease in self-harming behavior.

Abstract

Basically, students tend to appear more attractive in order to improve their body image and have good self-confidence. Regarding this, this study aims to determine the relationship between body image and self-confidence in students. This study uses a quantitative correlation approach. The research hypothesis emphasizes the relationship between body image and self-confidence in students. The population criteria were students, with a sample size of 108 people. Data collection tools used body image questionnaires and self-confidence questionnaires with a Likert scale model consisting of 16 items for body image with a coefficient of α = 0.749 and 20 items for self-confidence with a coefficient of α = 0.837. Data analysis emphasized the direction of correlation with a product moment design, with the final result showing a 2-tailed sig value of 0.001 < 0.05 with a Pearson correlation value of 0.322, indicating a low correlation between body image and self-confidence among students.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the political participation of the Ahmadiyah community in the 2020 Mataram City Regional Election. The research questions are: What forms of political participation did the Ahmadiyah community engage in during the 2020 Mataram City Regional Election? And what are the factors that hinder and encourage their political participation? The study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis methods include data sources, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The findings reveal that the Ahmadiyah community participated in politics by casting their votes, rejecting money politics, and never abstaining from voting. Factors encouraging participation include the social environment, political reach, government assistance, and political awareness. Meanwhile, the hindering factors involve the community's organizational detachment from political issues and a focus on maintaining the purity of Islamic teachings, which prevents potential division and moral conflicts within society.

Abstract

This paper explores the authenticity of hadith, a key area of study in ‘ulūm al-ḥadīth, with a focus on the development of the sanad (chain of transmission). Sanad emerged after the death of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and while methods varied during the era of the Companions, it reached its peak by the end of the first century. The study of hadith transmission has drawn interest from both Muslim scholars and non-Muslim researchers, such as Schacht, whose “Projecting Back” theory is considered difficult to implement. Three main perspectives on hadith authenticity have emerged: a skeptical view by Mahmud Abu Rayyah, a non-skeptical view by Yusuf al-Qaradawi, and a middle-ground approach by Muhammad al-Ghazālī. This qualitative study, using library research, examines classical and modern authentication methods, concluding that both are necessary for assessing hadith authenticity.

Abstract

Poverty remains one of the significant issues affecting the quality of life in Indonesia, particularly in terms of access to healthcare services. Despite the government's various policies, such as the National Health Insurance (JKN), the poor still face serious barriers in terms of cost, distance, and infrastructure limitations. This inequality results in communities in rural or remote areas having greater difficulty accessing adequate healthcare compared to urban populations. This research employs a literature review method, analyzing various journal sources, reports, and publications over the past ten years. The findings indicate that poverty not only limits individuals' ability to meet basic needs but also exacerbates healthcare inequality, increasing vulnerability to chronic diseases due to delayed medical intervention. Therefore, policies focused on equitable distribution of medical personnel and healthcare facility development in underserved areas are essential.

Abstract

Poverty remains one of the major factors hindering the equal distribution of education quality in Indonesia. Economic limitations directly affect the availability of school facilities, ranging from infrastructure, laboratories, and libraries to access to digital technology. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method and literature review to analyze the impact of poverty on educational facilities. The findings reveal that schools in impoverished areas often lack adequate classrooms, functional laboratories, sufficient book collections, and digital resources to support learning. Such conditions not only lower the quality of education but also widen the gap between wealthy and underprivileged regions. Addressing this issue requires collaborative efforts from the government, private sector, and society through initiatives such as operational assistance programs, school revitalization, and CSR support. These efforts are expected to foster a more inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education system for all students across Indonesia

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of learning media in enhancing student motivation in the subject of Social Studies Geography at MA Darul Ijtimak Lombok Tengah for the academic year 2020/2021. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique employed was qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that the use of learning media, especially maps, can enhance student motivation. The application of map media in Social Studies Geography lessons makes students more enthusiastic and prevents them from becoming bored or uninterested, thus making the teaching and learning process more engaging and effective.

Abstract

This study explores the attitudes of farmer parents in Lendang Nangka Village toward sustaining their children’s education during the 2022/2023 academic year. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation, the research found varied parental perspectives. Many parents, despite economic hardships, strongly supported higher education for their children, driven by awareness of its importance, community influence, and religious values. Conversely, some regarded education merely as a formality. The study identified several supporting factors, including parental awareness, social encouragement, and spiritual motivation. Meanwhile, economic constraints, limited school facilities, and low student motivation were noted as major obstacles. Overall, the findings highlight that the majority of farming parents hold positive attitudes toward ensuring the continuation of their children’s education, reflecting resilience and commitment despite socioeconomic limitations.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation model of the Karang Taruna program in fostering youth behavior in Midang Village, Batulayar District, West Lombok, during the 2022/2023 academic year. Karang Taruna plays a crucial role as a youth organization in guiding and shaping youth to avoid negative influences amid globalization and technological advancement. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings reveal that the program covers social, religious, educational, sports, and entrepreneurship activities, all of which contribute positively to youth character development. Supporting factors include strong community involvement, village government support, and encouragement from local leaders. Conversely, challenges arise from limited funding, inadequate facilities, and low participation of some youth. Overall, Karang Taruna in Midang Village demonstrates an effective development model that successfully guides youth toward positive, productive, and responsible behavior.
