Andragogi Jurnal Pendidikan dan Pembelajaran is a journal published by Universitas KH. Abstract

The study on improving the public speaking skills of T.P.Q. Muhammadiyah Menongo Sukodadi Lamongan students uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. This research aims to describe the "Darling" program at T.P.Q. Muhammadiyah Menongo Sukodadi Lamongan explains the implementation of the Darling (Tadarus Keliling) program as a strategy to enhance the public speaking skills of the students and analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors of the Darling (Tadarus Keliling) program. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Darling (Tadarus Keliling) is a program designed to train responsibility and public speaking, strengthen silaturrahim (social bonds), and encourage the regular recitation of the Al-Qur’an. 2) Darling is conducted once every two weeks on Tuesdays at 14:00 W.I.B. at students’ homes, with activities aimed at improving their public speaking skills and increasing their confidence in appearing in front of others after participating in the program. 3) Supporting factors include the honing of public speaking skills and the establishment of silaturrahim. Inhibiting factors include challenges related to time, conditions, and unpredictable weather.

Abstract

The problem underlying this research is the low level of students’ critical thinking skills. One alternative learning that can be applied to improve students' critical thinking skills is the scramble learning model. This research aims to determine how the scramble learning model can improve students’ critical thinking skills in fiqh subjects. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design research design. The study was conducted at MTs Negeri 2 Mojokerto. This study uses 2 classes, namely class VII E as an experimental class and class VII H as a randomly selected control class. The instrument used was a critical thinking ability test. In this study, quantitative data were analyzed using statistical analysis of the t-test to see an increase in students’ critical thinking skills. Based on the analysis of students' critical thinking test results obtained, the gain score of the experimental class is higher than the control class, which is 133 for the experimental class and 65 for the control class. After knowing the gain score, an independent sample t test was conducted with the result of a sig (2-tailed) value of 0,000 and smaller than 0,05. Thus it can be concluded that there are significant differences.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the determination of educational unit costs at MTs Muslimin Bojong Picung by applying the Activity Based Costing (ABC) method. This research is important to evaluate the correspondence between applied and actual costs and find potential cost allocation improvements. This type of research is descriptive with a quantitative approach, using data obtained through interviews, documentation and observation. The data analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis to explain the unit costs of education. The research results show that the unit costs produced using the ABC system are higher than the education costs set by the madrasah. This finding indicates the existence of undercosting, namely a situation where the actual costs are lower than the estimates produced by the ABC method. Contributing factors include costs that are not detailed or well identified as well as costs that are not charged to students by the madrasah. This research provides insight into inaccurate cost estimates and recommendations for improvements in education cost management.

Abstract

Picture media is a tool that can be effectively used by teachers in the learning process to create meaningful learning experiences for students. A teacher's expertise, accuracy, and ability to utilize this media significantly influence students' interest in learning. This study is an ex post facto research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study consisted of all upper-class students at SDN Mojokembang, with the sample covering all population members. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and documentation. This study aims to determine whether the use of picture media positively affects students' interest in learning science in the upper classes (IV, V, VI) at SDN Mojokembang. The results of the hypothesis test analysis show a value of r = 0.709. The results are declared significant since the F value of 106.737 is greater than the F table value of 1.80. Additionally, the significance test shows that the t value of 9.854 is greater than the t table value of 1.6743, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha. This study proves that there is a positive effect of using picture media on students' learning interests. It can be concluded that there is a positive influence between the use of picture media and students' learning interest in the upper classes (IV, V, VI) of SDN Mojokembang in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

The students’ low levels of creativity and critical thinking skills are significant issues that need to be addressed in the face of the rapidly developing modern era. Therefore, an appropriate learning model is required to enhance students’ creativity and critical thinking skills over time. This study focuses on the problem related to the Project-Based Learning model and students’ soft skills. The study aims to determine how the Project-Based Learning model is applied in thematic learning and its effect on the soft skills of fifth-grade students at MI Manbaul Huda. This study employs a pre-experimental research design, specifically the pretest-posttest one-group design, with a population of 27 fifth-grade students. The sample used was saturated, and it included all 27 students. To assess the students’ creativity and critical thinking skills, the research involved administering a test in the form of essays consisting of 10 questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. Hypothesis testing in this study was conducted using a t-test. The results of the hypothesis testing indicated a significance value of 0.000. Since the significance value is less than 0.05, it can be concluded that "there is a significant influence of the application of the Project-Based Learning model in thematic learning on the soft skills of fifth-grade students at MI Manbaul Huda."

Abstract

This study examines the impact of integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Smart Classrooms on interactivity, personalization, and learning evaluation. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis in schools implementing this technology. The findings show that IoT and AI enhance student and teacher interaction, enable personalized learning tailored to individual needs, and provide more measurable and data-driven evaluations. Although challenges in technology adaptation and data security were identified, this study affirms that Smart Classrooms have the potential to become a more effective and responsive model of future education, aligned with technological advancements in education. These findings are supported by relevant educational theories, such as Vygotsky’s social learning theory and Bloom’s data-driven evaluation. They are further reinforced by related literature demonstrating that these technologies can significantly enhance the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the principal’s strategy, strategy planning in improving students' academic achievement at SMA Antarctica Sidoarjo. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis with the subject of principals, waka, curriculum, and teachers. The data collection techniques used are interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The validity of the data is tested by triangulation of sources and techniques. The data obtained is analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results of this study show that 1) the principal's strategy in improving student academic achievement is carried out by developing resources, and creating academic achievement improvement programs, providing scholarships to students who have achievements, giving rewards to students and teachers who take part in competitions, and developing teacher competencies under their abilities in their fields. 2) Strategic planning is carried out by preparing a strategic plan, preparing a school budget work plan and conducting school self-evaluation and compiling programs within a period of 10 years and conducting madrasah self-evaluation every month.

Abstract

In the context of teaching, teacher self-efficacy can significantly impact teaching practices, classroom management strategies, and, ultimately, student learning outcomes. As the educational landscape continues to change rapidly, teachers must prioritize their professional development to meet the diverse needs of their students and ensure their success in the digital age. This study aims to analyze the relationship between teacher self-efficacy and student learning outcomes, teachers, and significant findings or patterns between the two, and compare the results with similar studies from previous studies. A qualitative descriptive method was used in this investigation, using a case study type. Qualitative descriptive analysis techniques were used for the data analysis process involving 38 teachers, madrasah principals, and K.K.M. Prigen Pasuruan administrators. The results of this study found 1. A positive correlation between teacher self-efficacy and student learning outcomes which highlights the importance of supporting teachers in developing confidence in their self-efficacy. 2. Implications for differences in levels of self-efficacy in various teacher demographic groups such as age, gender, teaching experience, and educational background. 3. Addressing gaps through appropriate interventions and support systems such as appropriate policies, infrastructure and teaching facilities can help strengthen the relationship between teacher independence and student learning outcomes, leading to more effective educational practices and policies in madrasahs and beyond.

Abstract

The tahfidz learning program requires strict and systematic management. This is in order to achieve the goals that have been set. Tahfidz learning management can also be used to improve students' literacy competence. With the tahfidz program students will learn to read and memorize which will certainly affect student learning. This study aims to explain and analyze how the management of the tahfidz learning program at the Nahdlatul Ulama Sekaran Islamic Elementary School. Then also to find out what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the program. The method used to examine this is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection used is by means of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by using the Miles and Hubberman model in the form of data collection, data reduction, data exposure and drawing conclusions. The results showed 1) the management of the tahfidz learning program includes: a) planning to set goals, b) implementation by selecting the right people to carry out and c) evaluation to solve problems that arise. 2) Obstacles encountered were a) student discipline in memorizing, b) stability of student abilities and an unequal ratio of teachers. While things that support are a) good management, b) high will and support from parents so that the program can run optimally.

Abstract

Mathematics has an important role in the world of education, but education in Indonesia in mathematics cannot be said to be good. This is in accordance with the PISA 2022 results that Indonesia has experienced an increase in ranking by 5-6 positions but is still at the bottom of other countries in mathematics ability. Learning mathematics is still considered difficult and unpleasant by students, causing low learning outcomes. Using the guided inquiry learning model could be a solution because it can attract students and better understand students' understanding of learning concepts. The main aim of this research is to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on student learning outcomes. This research uses a quantitative pre-experimental design approach in the form of one group pretest & posttest. The research sample was 21 students. The data collection technique in this research used a written test. The results of the data analysis that had been carried out showed that the average value before treatment was given was 33.33 Meanwhile, the average after the treatment was given was 67.52. The paired sample t test results obtained were Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05 So it can be concluded that the guided inquiry learning model has an effect on student learning outcomes
