Abdul Chalim Pacet Mojokerto is published twice times a year (March and September) as a media for scientific communication of academicians in the study of Teaching and Learning based on Interdisciplinary Research. Editors invite academicians to contribute their thoughts either in the form of research results, in-depth study, and book reviews following the discipline owned. The script is original and has not been published in other media. The manuscripts are preferably from research results and written in either English or Arabic.

Abstract

P5 is a learning activity designed to develop the character and competencies of students. The project is carried out collaboratively so as to open up space for the development of self-potential. This study focuses on the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in the Independent Curriculum in grade III at SD N 2 Bulung Kulon which aims to understand how the implementation of P5 is implemented and the supporting and inhibiting factors. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis technique uses the theory of Miles and Huberman in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study show that the independent curriculum at SD N 2 Bulung Kulon has been implemented progressively with simpler and more flexible time allocation. The implementation of the independent curriculum and P5 is designed as a strategic effort to shape the nation's next generation through a flexible, contextual, and student-centered learning approach. This curriculum provides space for students to explore their potential, think critically, and collaborate in solving problems.

Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia terus berkembang untuk menyesuaikan dengan tuntutan zaman dan kebutuhan peserta didik, salah satunya melalui penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka yang memberikan fleksibilitas bagi sekolah dan pendidik dalam menyusun pembelajaran berbasis kompetensi dan kreativitas siswa. Salah satu pendekatan yang mendukung pelaksanaan kurikulum ini adalah pendekatan konstruktivistik yang menekankan peran aktif siswa dalam membangun pemahaman melalui pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Meskipun telah banyak penelitian yang membahas Kurikulum Merdeka dan pendekatan konstruktivistik secara terpisah, masih sedikit kajian yang secara spesifik menelusuri bagaimana kedua konsep tersebut diimplementasikan secara terpadu di sekolah Islam unggulan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisi kekosongan tersebut dengan menganalisis implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka berbasis konstruktivistik di SMA Unggulan Amanatul Ummah Surabaya melalui metode studi kasus kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi kelas, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi Kurikulum Merdeka dan pendekatan konstruktivistik di sekolah ini mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, mendorong kreativitas, serta memperkuat pemahaman konseptual secara lebih mendalam. Temuan ini tidak hanya menunjukkan efektivitas strategi pembelajaran tetapi juga dapat menjadi acuan praktis bagi sekolah-sekolah lain yang ingin mengadopsi Kurikulum Merdeka berbasis konstruktivistik secara kontekstual dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of prophetic leadership and the performance of education personnel on the culture of quality education services in the State Aliyah Madrasah (MAN) in Kediri City. Through associative quantitative methods, data were obtained from 53 education personnel using saturation sampling techniques and analyzed with multiple regression assisted by SPSS 27 to test the partial and simultaneous effects of independent variables on quality culture. The results showed that prophetic leadership had a significant effect on service quality culture with a t value = 3.560, sig. = 0.001, and regression coefficient (B) = 0.612. This shows that an increase in prophetic leadership consistently has a strong impact on quality culture through exemplary, motivational, and moral reinforcement. The performance of education personnel has a significant effect with a t value = 2.281, sig. = 0.026, and regression coefficient (B) = 0.495, which means that improving the performance of education personnel significantly contributes to the creation of more orderly, responsive, and productive services. Simultaneously, the two variables contributed 50.7% to the culture of service quality, while 49.3% was influenced by other factors outside this study. The findings confirm that prophetic leadership and the performance of education personnel are strategic factors in strengthening the culture of quality education services.

Abstract

This study aims to develop flipbook learning media based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the subject of Science on ecosystem material for fifth grade elementary school students to increase student motivation and learning activity. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall model. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and questionnaires, with 37 students of Elementary School Cluster 3, Bandung District as research subjects. The validation results show that the media is categorized as very valid, with a score from material experts of 99.77% and media experts of 99.09%. The practicality of the media is shown from teacher observations with an average score of 94.64% (limited classes) and 92.85% (large classes), which are categorized as very practical. The effectiveness of the media is proven by the increase in learning outcomes through an average n-Gain of 0.76 (limited classes) and 0.804 (large classes), both in the high category. The results of the paired t-test show a significant difference between the pretest and posttest with a significance value of <0.001. Student responses to the media were also very positive, with an average of 94.28% (small class) and 95.71% (large class). Thus, this PBL-based flipbook proved valid, practical, and effective in improving student learning outcomes. The contribution of this research lies in providing an alternative interactive digital media based on PBL that can be integrated into science learning to encourage active student engagement and meaningful learning.

Abstract

The low interest in reading among students remains a major challenge in learning Indonesian, particularly in news text material that requires skills in understanding and writing factual information. This study aims to explore the use of the digital news application Opera News in news text learning as an effort to enhance students’ reading interest and writing skills. The research employed a qualitative approach with a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, carried out in three reflective cycles. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. The findings indicate an increase in students’ engagement with digital news reading, active participation in classroom discussions, and comprehension of news text structures and content. Students’ news writing skills also improved in terms of content, text organization, and language use. The integration of Opera News into learning activities made literacy practices more contextual, interactive, and aligned with students’ digital habits. These results highlight that the use of digital media can be an effective strategy to foster reading interest and enhance students’ literacy skills. The study recommends the sustainable integration of digital news applications in Indonesian language learning to support adaptive literacy development in line with the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat belajar siswa berdampak pada kurang optimalnya pembelajaran, khususnya pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi metode konvensional yang kurang menarik, sehingga diperlukan media inovatif seperti smart box. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbedaan minat belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media smart box serta seberapa besar pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatan minat belajar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimental tipe One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 24 siswa kelas IV dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket minat belajar dan dianalisis dengan Paired Sample T-Test serta ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor minat belajar meningkat dari 65,58 pada pretest menjadi 80,08 pada posttest. Uji t menghasilkan thitung = 14,500 > ttabel = 1,71387 dengan p < 0,001, sedangkan uji ANOVA juga menunjukkan signifikansi < 0,001. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan media smart box berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, smart box dapat dijadikan inovasi pembelajaran efektif pada mata pelajaran IPAS.

Abstract

Learning foreign languages ​​ cannot be separated from learning media, the application of learning media in the learning process is closely related to psychological development and the level of ability of students as learners. Most students of Al-Hamra Islamic Middle School Malang complained about the difficulty of understanding Arabic learning materials due to a lack of understanding of Arabic grammar. In addition, the limited ability of teachers with facilities and time also has an impact on the learning process. This study aims to describe the development of Arabic grammar learning media based on the quizlet application at Al-Hamra Islamic Middle School Malang and its effectiveness. This research using the development approach of the ADDIE development model. Researcher conducted interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests as data collection techniques. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman method for qualitative data, the Likert scale and SPSS (Paired Sample Test) for quantitative data. The results of the study showed that the media development process in this study went through five stages such as analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. With the Paired Sample Test, obtained the result from implementation of Arabic grammar learning based on the Quizlet application was effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana manajemen pendidikan memberikan fondasi yang kuat bagi perkembangan anak. Manajemen pendidikan memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun sistem pendidikan yang efektif, efisien, dan berorientasi pada perkembangan holistik, khususnya pada jenjang Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) dan sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan berbasis kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai literatur yang relevan mengenai konsep, implementasi, dan tantangan manajemen pendidikan dalam konteks penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pendidikan yang dirancang secara terencana dan berfokus pada kebutuhan peserta didik mampu mengintegrasikan berbagai komponen pendidikan, seperti manajemen pendidik, kurikulum, sarana prasarana, serta kolaborasi dengan keluarga dan masyarakat. Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan inovasi yang mendorong fleksibilitas pembelajaran sekaligus menumbuhkan karakter, kreativitas, dan kemandirian anak. Selain itu, sinergi antara pola asuh keluarga dan strategi manajemen lembaga pendidikan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap keberhasilan pengembangan karakter dan potensi anak. Dengan demikian, manajemen pendidikan bukan sekadar kegiatan administratif, melainkan pilar utama dalam membangun ekosistem pendidikan yang inklusif, responsif, dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan perkembangan anak di era modern.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply analyze the changes in values in the digital era by using the principle of monotheism as the philosophical, epistemological, and axiological basis in the development of Islamic Education curriculum. By applying the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study collects, evaluates, and summarizes literature from both domestic and international sources published between 2019 and 2024, which clearly discusses the relationship between science, ethics, humanity, and digital technology. Data collection was carried out from leading databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, SpringerLink, and Garuda and DOAJ Indonesia, with strict selection based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) criteria. The analysis was carried out using thematic analysis to identify three main themes: the dimensions of scientific values, ethical principles in the digital world, and their impact on humanity and Islamic education in the digital era
