Abstract

Cases of violence and sexual crimes continue to increase and have become a complicated and very important issue among the overall crimes experienced by women. Sexual violence is rampant among female students in schools. Cases of sexual violence against children are triggered by the low level of sexual education, which is considered taboo and inappropriate for children. The aim of this activity is to raise awareness and strengthen efforts to prevent and address sexual violence in teenage and school environments. This education is carried out using a socialization method. The results of this activity show an increase in knowledge related to the prevention and handling of sexual violence.

Abstract

The formal education system in Indonesia, from kindergarten to senior high/vocational schools, is not immune to the spread of radicalism. Education has become one of the "fertile grounds" for the cultivation of radicalism in the name of religion, ranging from classroom conversations, small group discussions, to textbooks that clearly illustrate these massive efforts. The socialization of radicalism aims to increase students' understanding of the dangers of radicalism. This education is carried out using socialization methods. The results of this activity show an increase in knowledge related to radicalism through strengthening media literacy and utilizing the Indonesian language as a means of uniting the nation.

Abstract

This study aims to map and analyze global trends in the use of Linear Regression in Education Systems quantitatively, including publication counts, citations, author collaboration patterns, institutional affiliations, and country contributions. Publication data from the Dimensions database covering 2010–2025 were analyzed using bibliometric methods with VOSviewer, while literature selection followed the PRISMA framework to ensure validity and transparency. The results revealed 2,987 publications with a total of 12,647 citations, showing a significant increase since 2017, particularly in the fields of Education Systems, Education, and Curriculum and Pedagogy. Network, overlay, and density visualizations confirmed Linear Regression as a central method in Educational research, closely related to teacher performance, student learning outcomes, and engagement. Although researcher collaboration remains fragmented, the dominance of quantitative and computational journals demonstrates the wide and interdisciplinary application of Linear Regression, including integration with digital learning and financial literacy. These findings highlight the relevance of Linear Regression in evidence-based Educational research and suggest opportunities for advancing analytical methods and international collaboration in the future.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted to enhance students’ understanding and awareness at SD Negeri 035 Tarai Bangun regarding the prevention of violent behavior through an educational outreach approach. Terrorism represents a complex and multidimensional global threat that continues to evolve and poses risks of violence and social instability. Accordingly, this program aimed to introduce early prevention strategies by strengthening students’ knowledge and values related to peace, tolerance, and critical thinking. The methods employed included preliminary observation, delivery of educational materials, interactive discussions, and a simple evaluation to assess students’ comprehension. The outreach activities targeted elementary school students as a vulnerable group that requires early educational intervention to prevent exposure to violent and extremist ideologies. The results demonstrated an improvement in students’ understanding following the program, as reflected in satisfactory post-activity quiz outcomes. These findings indicate that educational socialization is an effective early preventive strategy to equip students with essential knowledge and critical attitudes to reject violence, terrorism, and radicalism.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social values ​​and norms contained in Mijil Pawestri's drama "BLONG." This drama depicts domestic life, addressing various social issues, particularly those concerning loyalty, responsibility, and shifting values ​​in modern society. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with a sociology of literature approach according to Wellek and Warren, which emphasizes the reciprocal relationship between the literary work, the author, and society. The data source for this study is the text of Mijil Pawestri's drama "BLONG," while supporting data were obtained through literature review relevant to the theory and social context of the work. Data collection was conducted using reading and note-taking, then analyzed by identifying intrinsic elements and relating them to the social realities depicted in the text. The results show that the drama "BLONG" reflects several social values, such as loyalty, hard work, and responsibility, and incorporates social norms such as family norms, economic norms, and moral norms. This drama also provides a glimpse into changes in societal behavior and attitudes toward modernity and materialism. Thus, this work serves not only as entertainment but also as a social mirror reflecting the dynamics of contemporary society.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PKM) aims to enhance digital literacy and online marketing capabilities of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Pancalang District, Kuningan Regency, West Java. The majority of local business actors still rely on conventional marketing methods with limited market reach, and fewer than 25% have active business accounts on digital platforms. The main challenges include low levels of digital literacy, weak promotional strategies, and the absence of structured product information systems. To address these issues, the PKM team conducted awareness sessions on the importance of digital marketing, provided technical training on creating business accounts and promotional content using social media, marketplaces, and design applications (Canva), and developed a web-based MSME information website for Pancalang using web programming technologies (PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) as a digital showcase for local products. The website features menus for MSMEs, product listings, village locations, MSME activities, and contact information, enabling easier access to information for consumers. The results indicate an 80% increase in participants’ understanding, the establishment of 10 active business accounts, and the creation of an integrated digital platform for MSME promotion. Evaluation through pre-test and post-test assessments shows an improvement in participants’ digital marketing skills of 85.33%, with a potential minimum increase in revenue of 15%. The program also led to the formation of the Pancalang Digital Marketing Community (KDMP) as a sustainable collaborative forum. The Pancalang MSME website has proven effective as a practical and sustainable digital information solution, supporting the digital economic transformation of rural communities.

Abstract

Pusat Pengembangan Anak (PPA) Ephata Wlingi is a church-based child development center that partners with Compassion International in supporting youth development. One of the main challenges faced by the center is the low motivation of adolescents to continue their education to the higher education level. Most of them prefer to work immediately after graduating from senior high school. Responding to this condition, the community service team from the Business Management Program of Petra Christian University implemented a coaching program using interactive presentations and participatory discussions to encourage students to pursue higher education and to develop interest in entrepreneurship with social impact. The coaching activities were designed to broaden participants’ understanding of the importance of higher education, business opportunities, and the role of entrepreneurship in creating value for society. The results showed an increase in students’ awareness of the benefits of continuing to university, the development of new perspectives on business as a career option, and improvement in communication skills and teamwork. The program also encouraged a shift in participants’ mindset from an immediate-work orientation toward longer-term career planning, starting from education, competence development, and experience building. This coaching program indicates that an educational and participatory approach can be an effective strategy to foster motivation for higher education and entrepreneurship among adolescents at PPA, as a foundation for building economic independence and socially impactful ventures.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and describe the mathematical concepts embedded in the Ngawu-awu tradition in Gunung Kidul Regency as part of an ethnomathematical inquiry. The research employed a qualitative approach with an ethnographic–ethnomathematical design. The research participants consisted of traditional leaders, village elders, tumpeng makers, and community members directly involved in the implementation of the tradition, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that the Ngawu-awu tradition embodies a comprehensive application of mathematical concepts, including geometry in the arrangement of tumpeng and uborampe (cones, circles, and symmetry), arithmetic and ratios in the distribution of agricultural yields, patterns and sequences in the scheduling of agricultural rituals, as well as measurement and estimation in communal rice field cleaning activities. These findings confirm that mathematics exists as a form of contextual intelligence integrated into the cultural practices of the community. Therefore, the Ngawu-awu tradition holds significant potential to be utilized as a contextual, meaningful, and culturally grounded source for ethnomathematics-based learning

Abstract

Digital literacy and programming logic are essential competencies for vocational high school students to face future industrial challenges. This community service activity aims to improve these competencies through a C++ programming workshop using the CodeCombat game-based learning platform at SMK Bakti Purwokerto. The implementation method applies an educational approach that includes interactive theoretical explanations with hands-on practice in the laboratory, facilitating students to master basic logic structures such as variables, input-output, and loops visually. The results of the activity showed a significant positive impact, where 98% of participants successfully completed the game's basic level challenges independently and demonstrated a significant increase in technical understanding. Furthermore, the integration of gamification was proven effective in increasing student enthusiasm and active participation in completing coding missions. It was concluded that this approach provides a strategic framework for schools to reduce students' cognitive load in learning programming syntax, making the introduction to coding more effective, enjoyable, and relevant for vocational education.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover the representation of power and ideology in media coverage regarding educational policy. The focus of the study is directed at a news article from Kompas.com titled "Bahasa Portugis Masuk Kurikulum, Legislator Khawatir Akan Membebani Siswa" (Portuguese Language Enters the Curriculum, Legislators Fear It Will Burden Students), published on October 25, 2025. The central issue examined is the ideological contestation between the government's discourse on language internationalization and the discourse of academic efficiency voiced by the legislature. This study employs a qualitative approach using Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) model. This approach views language as a social practice that maintains a dialectical relationship with social structures and power. Data were collected through literature study and the observation method (metode simak), utilizing digital document recording and repeated reading techniques to identify lexical choices and representational strategies. Data analysis was conducted through Fairclough’s three-dimensional framework: textual analysis (linguistic and lexical choices), discourse practice (processes of text production and consumption), and social practice (political context and power relations). The results indicate that the use of dictions such as "khawatir" (worry) and "bebani siswa" (burden students) functions as a framing strategy that represents the policy negatively. Data validity was ensured through theory and source triangulation to verify emerging discourse patterns. Overall, this study concludes that mass media possesses symbolic power in shaping public opinion and constructing social reality through non-neutral linguistic choices. This research contributes to the understanding of the media's role in mediating interest conflicts between policymakers and state institutions.
