Abstract

Radicalism is a social challenge that can potentially affect adolescents, particularly senior high school students who are in a phase of identity formation. Limited literacy skills and critical thinking abilities may increase students’ vulnerability to the spread of radical ideologies through their social environment and information media. This community service activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of radicalism and to foster critical awareness through a Bahasa Indonesia literacy approach. The activity was conducted on December 11, 2025, at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru, Jalan Semeru, involving students aged 16–18 years. The methods employed included observation of the school environment, direct socialization activities, and interactive presentations on radicalism integrated with Bahasa Indonesia learning. The material was delivered interactively to encourage active student participation. The results indicated that students gained a better understanding of the definition, characteristics, and impacts of radicalism, as well as the importance of literacy skills in filtering information. Overall, participants’ responses suggested that the activity was beneficial and relevant to their daily lives as students. This community service activity is expected to serve as a preventive effort in reducing the spread of radical ideologies in the school environment while supporting the strengthening of Bahasa Indonesia literacy.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly influenced various sectors, including education. Vocational high schools (SMK) are required to adapt to technological advancements to prepare graduates with relevant competencies for the industrial world. However, the utilization of AI in learning activities at SMK Negeri 3 Baturaja is still limited due to a lack of understanding and skills among teachers and students. Therefore, this community service program aims to provide assistance in the utilization of Artificial Intelligence to support learning processes and improve digital literacy at SMK Negeri 3 Baturaja. The method used in this program includes needs analysis, training sessions, hands-on practice, and mentoring. The activities were conducted through workshops introducing basic AI concepts, demonstrations of AI-based educational tools, and guided practice in applying AI for learning, content creation, and task completion. The mentoring process ensured that participants were able to independently use AI applications responsibly and ethically. The results of this program indicate an increase in participants’ understanding of AI concepts and their ability to utilize AI tools to support teaching and learning activities. Teachers gained insights into integrating AI into instructional strategies, while students demonstrated improved motivation and creativity in completing learning tasks. In conclusion, AI utilization assistance effectively enhances digital competencies and supports innovative learning at SMK Negeri 3 Baturaja. Continuous mentoring and policy support are recommended to ensure sustainable implementation

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the active learning strategy through the jigsaw model in teaching Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at elementary and Islamic elementary schools. The research employed a library research method by reviewing relevant literature, including journals, theses, and previous studies. The findings indicate that the jigsaw model increases students’ activeness, responsibility, and critical thinking skills in understanding SKI material. Through the division of home groups and expert groups, students not only comprehend the material but also teach it to their peers and internalize Islamic moral values derived from historical events. This strategy also promotes collaboration and effective communication among students. Challenges such as limited time and differences in students’ abilities can be overcome through teacher guidance and the use of appropriate learning media. Therefore, the active learning strategy based on the jigsaw model is considered effective in creating interactive, enjoyable, and character-oriented SKI learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intrinsic elements and moral values in the novel Gitanjali: A Tribute to Finding the Heart by Febrialdi R. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research data consists of narrative and dialogue quotations in the novel obtained through a literature study technique using reading and note-taking techniques. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative descriptive techniques with narrative presentation. The results showed that the intrinsic elements of the novel included themes, plot, characters and characterization, setting, point of view, and message, with a total of 58 data points. The main themes of the novel were related to the struggle of life, spiritual journey, and human values. There were 16 moral values found, covering the relationship between humans and God, the relationship between humans and themselves, and the relationship between humans and other humans in a social context. It can be concluded that the novel Gitanjali contains relevant moral values and has the potential to be used as character learning material

Abstract

The main problems faced by MSMEs towards digitalization are the low level of human resources and unequal access to technology. Based on existing problems, this training aims to be a mentoring program to optimize the potential of Pasar Rawa Village MSMEs through digitalization. The subjects of this research were the people of Pasar Rawa Village, Kec. Gebang numbering 16 people. This activity was carried out using lecture, discussion and training methods. Based on the results of creating a Shopee account as a seller from the questions and answers, 90% of the 16 participants understood, while creating Canva from the questions and answers, 80% of the 16 participants understood. This is because the Shopee application has instructions to make it easier for users, whereas Canva doesn’t have instructions, it just depends on what we want to design.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance students' understanding and awareness regarding bullyingprevention at SMP Negeri 20 Pekanbaru through an educational program. The program was initiated due tothe high prevalence of bullying in school environments, which negatively impacts students' psychological andsocial well-being. The methods employed included preliminary observations, educational material delivery,interactive discussions, and pre-and-post evaluation to measure comprehension levels. Results indicated asignificant improvement in students' ability to identify bullying forms and their consequences, with evaluationscores showing an average increase in awareness of 35%. The involvement of the student council (OSIS) andvisual media played a crucial role in fostering active participation. While cognitive understanding improved,minor verbal interactions outside the classroom still require ongoing monitoring. This activity concludes thatsustainable educational interventions and stakeholder collaboration are vital for a bullying-free schoolenvironment.

Abstract

In an effort to raise awareness and understanding among students about safe and responsible internet use, a training session themed ‘Digital Information Security and Internet Ethics’ was held on 30 October 2025 at SMK Bakti Purwokerto with the aim of improving digital literacy among 30 students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ). The low level of students' understanding of personal data protection was the main reason for the importance of this activity. The methods employed combined theoretical instruction on digital ethics (netiquette) with practical exercises, including the ‘Password Monster’ strategy and data breach checks via an online platform. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in students' technical skills and critical awareness regarding personal account security. Thus, this interactive training proved effective in shifting students' paradigms towards becoming smart and responsible internet users.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly influenced higher education, particularly in supporting students’ academic activities. This study aims to analyze the level of student dependence on AI in completing academic assignments and its implications for critical and creative thinking skills. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 20 undergraduate students from various universities and academic disciplines. The results indicate that AI is widely perceived as helpful and time-efficient; however, excessive reliance may reduce students’ independence in problem-solving and analytical thinking. These findings highlight the importance of balanced and responsible AI utilization to ensure that technological assistance does not hinder students’ intellectual development.

Abstract

Digital industrialization in Indonesia has driven significant changes in governance and public service delivery based on information technology. Local governments are required to adapt to digital transformation while ensuring compliance with applicable legal provisions. However, government officials' understanding of digital law still faces various limitations, particularly regarding personal data protection, electronic system security, and legal liability within the digital sphere. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to enhance the literacy and digital legal awareness of officials within the Administrative City Government of South Jakarta through digital law socialization programs. This initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Indonesian Information Technology Advocates Association (PERATIN) as a digital law practitioner partner. The implementation methods included thematic presentations, interactive discussions, and case studies relevant to the challenges of digital industrialization in Indonesia. The results indicate an increase in participants' understanding of digital legal risks and the importance of implementing legal compliance principles to support secure and sustainable digital governance.

Abstract

Inadequate nutritional intake in post-operative patients can delay wound healing and increase the risk of complications such as wound dehiscence, infection, and fluid imbalance. Objective: This health education activity aimed to improve family understanding of proper post-operative nutrition and their ability to apply a balanced diet to support recovery. Methods: The activity involved post-operative patients and their families using lectures, demonstrations, and interactive discussions supported by leaflets. Results: Pre-test results showed that participants had a moderate level of knowledge regarding post-operative nutrition. After the educational intervention, post-test results demonstrated a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge. Conclusion: Health education on proper nutrition for post-operative patients was effective in significantly increasing participants’ knowledge and understanding of nutritional management during the recovery period.
