Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the halal awareness of Muslim consumers who buy skincare products through the marketplace from the halal label printed on the most sold products because it is important for Muslims to consume and use products that are clearly halal. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with liberal research analysis with secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the level of halal awareness of Muslim consumers in Indonesia is still low, as evidenced by the highest product sales in the marketplace, namely Garnier products from France that do not have a halal label. From this research it is hoped that the government, especially the halal product guarantee institution, will educate consumers about the importance of using halal skincare products to avoid things that are prohibited by Islam.

Abstract

Protection of victims of sexual violence is reviewed from the perspective of Law Number 12 of 2022 and Islamic law. Islam is a religion that is centered on the Qur'an, the holy book and the direct word of Allah SWT. All forms of actions and instructions are already stated in the holy book. In community life, there must be limitations and rules in regulating behavior and actions that are not considered to interfere with the rights of others. This is indicated by the existence of laws which mean that there are regulations that regulate relations between humans, to maintain order and peace. One of the problems faced by the country is sexual violence. Sexual violence can cause physical and psychological trauma to victims, including post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety. This study uses comparative and descriptive methods. The descriptive method can be interpreted as a description of problems that occur in the present or are ongoing, by describing the condition of the subject or object in the study based on actual facts or as they are. The comparative method examines previous research data as a comparison of the law on sexual violence according to Law Number 12 of 2022 with the law on sexual violence according to Islam.

Abstract

Pasar Simpang Limun, as one of the largest traditional markets in Medan, is facing significant challenges due to the emergence of online markets. Changes in consumer shopping patterns that now prefer online shopping have led to a decline in the turnover of grocery merchants in this market. Price competition with cheap imported products, a decrease in the number of customers, and limited adoption of digital technology are the main challenges for traditional traders. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the methods of in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were purposively selected grocery traders in Simpang Limun Market. The data was analyzed to identify the challenges faced by traders as well as the survival strategies they apply amidst online market competition. The main challenges faced by grocery merchants include price competition with online markets, a decrease in the number of customers, and a decrease in turnover. Their coping strategies include highlighting product quality, adopting digitalization such as cashless payments and local delivery services (Gojek/Grab), and focusing on holidays to increase sales. However, some merchants still rely on conventional methods without utilizing technology. Digitalization and diversification of sales channels are key to maintaining the competitiveness of traditional merchants. Government interventions, such as digital literacy training, subsidies, regulation of imported products, and provision of digital infrastructure, are needed to support the sustainability of traditional markets.
