Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of local socio-economic and communication in dealing with the impacts of climate change in Bangkala District, Jeneponto Regency. Climate change has brought major challenges to communities, especially in the agriculture and fisheries sectors, which depend on stable environmental conditions. In dealing with these changes, communities develop various adaptation strategies involving economic, social, and communication aspects. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, where data is collected through interviews, observations, and documentation to gain a deep understanding of the adaptation strategies implemented by the community. The results of the study show that communities implement various adaptation strategies, such as diversifying income sources, utilizing digital technology to monitor weather and environmental conditions, and strengthening social networks through community cooperation. In addition, community communication patterns have changed from traditional methods to the use of digital media, such as weather applications and online communication groups, which help them in decision making related to agricultural and fisheries activities.

Abstract

Statistical literacy is an important skill that must be possessed by students, especially in the field of mathematics education, to understand and analyze data effectively. This study aims to develop a statistical literacy learning design by utilizing concept maps that meet the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research design used in this study is Educational Design Research (EDR). The subjects of this study involved Mathematics Education students of UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research instruments used include validation sheets, guidebooks, student worksheets, test instruments, learning modules, response questionnaires, learning design implementation sheets, and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out based on three main aspects, namely validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Hypothesis testing was carried out using the Independent sample t-test to compare student learning outcomes between the experimental class using statistical literacy learning design with concept maps and the control class using conventional learning. The results of the analysis show that this learning design is valid after going through a validation process by experts, practical based on positive responses from lecturers and students, and effective in improving student learning outcomes. The results of the hypothesis test using the Independent sample t-test showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class, with an average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class of 81.04, exceeding the KKM of 75, and classical completeness reaching 83.33%. Thus, the developed statistical literacy learning design has proven effective in improving students' understanding and skills in statistical literacy.

Abstract

Due to the significant impact and contribution of vocational education and training (VET) in economic growth and development, policy makers and stakeholders prioritize VET in their economic goals. Although there are many university and vocational school (MYO) graduates in Turkiye, there is a shortage of trained personnel especially in technical and vocational fields. The number of MYO has reached a total of 1003 and students number is 2.82 millions compared to the vocational schools of 211 in Germany. The employment rate of bachelor's degree graduates was 75.6%, while this rate was 67.3 % for MYO graduates in Turkiye. Duration to find a job is about 15 months, compared to only 4 months in European countries. The German VET model is recognized worldwide as a fundamental and effective model for VET. The main reason is that it is a practice and model that combines theory and practice, learning and work, classroom and companies. In Turkiye, some efforts to improve the quality and effectiveness of MYOs and the technical high schools have increased in recent years. It is aimed for students in the relevant programs to work full-time in an company for one semester in the last year of their education period in order to improve their professional skills and experiences. Structural change and practices similar to the system in Germany might be considered based on socio-economic conditions in Turkiye and their experiences could be useful for MYOs.

Abstract

Psychoeducational services at the elementary school level play a crucial role in enhancing students' learning motivation. This study aims to design and test the validity of a psychoeducational guidance service device that can support the improvement of students' learning motivation. The research uses a development research method with the Four-D model, which consists of four stages: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The primary focus of this study is on the design and validation stages of the service device, which includes service implementation plans, materials, Student Work Sheets (LKPD), evaluation, and motivational instruments. The validation of the device was conducted by subject matter experts and media experts. The validation results indicate that the psychoeducational guidance service device received very appropriate scores from both subject matter and media experts. Specifically, the motivational instruments and psychoeducational media demonstrated excellent quality in enhancing student motivation. Overall, this service device is deemed highly suitable for implementation in psychoeducational guidance processes at the elementary school level. This study contributes to the development of effective guidance devices aimed at improving students' learning motivation in elementary schools

Abstract

This study explores the critical intersection between digital ethics and public trust within the context of government digital transformation. As governments increasingly adopt digital technologies to streamline public services, ethical challenges have emerged—ranging from data privacy violations and algorithmic opacity to excluding marginalized groups from digital access. These ethical dilemmas can significantly undermine citizens' confidence in government institutions if left unaddressed. This study identifies core themes and ethical concerns that influence public perception and trust through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of scholarly articles published between 2010 and 2024. The findings reveal that ethical misalignments in digital initiatives—particularly concerning transparency, accountability, and inclusivity—can erode institutional legitimacy. Conversely, when digital ethics are embedded into governance structures and service designs from the outset, they can enhance citizen engagement, foster social equity, and strengthen institutional trust. This study highlights the urgent need for public institutions to adopt ethics-by-design frameworks, prioritize participatory digital policy-making, and invest in inclusive digital literacy initiatives to ensure that technological progress in governance is effective and equitable.

Abstract

Student learning achievement is the main indicator of the success of the educational process that reflects students' ability to carry out learning activities in accordance with the expected achievements. Student learning achievement is influenced by many factors both internal and external such as attitudes, interests, basic abilities of students, learning strategies, and classroom management. In the context of education in Indonesia, especially in Aceh, the implementation of gender-based classroom management is one of the classroom management models that is carried out in an effort to improve learning achievement. This gender separation is in accordance with Qanun Number 23 of 2002 concerning the education system based on Islamic law, namely religious values and community culture, but the effectiveness of this model of classroom management is still unknown. This study aims to determine the effect of gender-based classroom management on student learning achievement at SMAN 11 Banda Aceh. The quantitative method was used by distributing questionnaires on gender-based classroom management and learning achievement taken from report card scores given to 143 respondents, namely students through a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using simple linear regression SPSS version 25. The results showed that the effect of gender-based classroom management on learning achievement obtained a significance value of 0.364. This finding concludes that gender-based classroom management does not have an effect on learning achievement. Therefore, an in-depth study is needed to understand the effectiveness of this strategy, especially in order to achieve optimal learning outcomes

Abstract

This article aims to narrate the results of good practices in the application of questioning skills to train critical thinking skills carried out by students of the teacher profession program who are currently studying for teacher profession education at one of the universities in East Java. Learning designed with a project play approach with STEAM content is the basis for designing learning activities carried out for early childhood. This research is a type of qualitative research, with data collection techniques based on 3 cycle learning videos carried out by 2 students. One student carries out learning activities based on the 2013 Early Childhood Education Program curriculum and one student has implemented the Independent Curriculum. Data analysis is presented with an integrative narrative approach, namely integrating the results of observations of the experiences of one student with other students at the same stage. The results of the study show that teacher skills in asking questions can improve children's understanding of the STEAM concept more broadly and deeply.
