Abstract

In Indonesia, character education must take center stage in all spheres of education, including formal, non-formal, and informal learning. The ability of the instructor's aqidah morality, parenting style, and counseling teacher performance are only a few of the variables that influence how children grow their character. With the performance of counseling teachers as a moderating variable in MA Ihyaul Ulum Cangaan Ujungpangkah Gresik, this study aims to determine the effect of parenting style, particularly the type of authoritative parenting style, and the competence of PAI teachers on the holistic character of students. This study employs an affiliation or associative method and is quantitative in nature. All MA Ihyaul Ulum students from three classes totaling 75 people made up the population of this study. By calculating the number of samples using the Michael and Issac method with a 5% error rate, the sample in this study was chosen using a straightforward random sampling technique. This study was carried out in Gresik at MA Ihyaul Ulum Cangaan. This study's instrument was a closed questionnaire that was completed online using a Google form. The Likert scale was used to create the questionnaire (questionnaire). Technical data analysis employing the moderation regression test, t test, and F test.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of a contextual Arabic language curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Muttaqien, covering four main aspects: learning objectives, materials, methods, and evaluation. A contextual approach is essential for increasing the relevance of learning materials to students' daily lives, thus enhancing their interest and motivation in learning Arabic. This qualitative study employs a case study method, involving observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The findings indicate that the development of Arabic learning objectives at Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Muttaqien focuses on active and passive language skills, understanding Islamic literature, and integration with other subjects. The learning materials are based on the 2013 curriculum, supplemented with additional books for broader knowledge and practice. The predominant teaching method is the Sam'iyyah Syafahiyyah method to improve listening and speaking skills. Learning evaluation is conducted through formative and summative assessments integrated with technology to continuously monitor and enhance the learning process. The conclusion shows that the development of the contextual Arabic language curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Raudhatul Muttaqien has been adjusted to meet the needs of students and the educational environment, using effective methods and evaluations to achieve the expected learning outcomes.

Abstract

Sex education is not about supporting children to have sexual relations but explaining the natural function of sex as part of themselves and the consequences if misused. Parents are the main actors in children's education. Parents serve as the primary educational facilitators for children, as they are the most suitable individuals to impart sex education during early childhood and adolescence. Parents no longer need to doubt the importance of sex education from an early age. Eliminate the feeling of awkwardness that exists and start building sensitivity to the need for sex education in children. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of parents in providing sex education for teenagers and to analyze the inhibiting factors in providing sex education for teenagers. This research type utilizes naturalistic phenomenology and employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection methods in this research used interviews, observation, and documentation. Next, to check the validity of the data, the author uses triangulation techniques. Then, to analyze the data, the author divides it into three components: data reduction, data display (data presentation), and drawing conclusions (data verification). The research findings reveal that parents at MTs Tarbiyatul Wathon Campurejo Panceng Gresik provide sex education to teenagers; however, despite this, some children continue to engage in deviant behavior. Some parents still maintain a taboo against imparting sex education to teenagers. Furthermore, the obstacles to implementing sex education for teenagers include parents' lack of knowledge about sex education, their inability to communicate it effectively, their lack of openness with children, and the limited intensity of meetings between children and parents. Parents coordinate well between religious leaders, community leaders, and village health workers, such as village midwives or village orderlies, regarding sex education for teenagers through socialization. Try to prevent it by giving warnings and punishments if children do deviant things, accompanied by an understanding so they don't do it again.

Abstract

This study is entitled "The New Face of Islamic Religious Education Learning Using Puzzle Media at SDN Windu Karangbinangun." This study aims to explore the use of puzzle media in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and to determine students' responses to its use. We conducted the study at SDN Windu Karangbinangun, Karangbinangun District, Lamongan Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, which collects data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that using puzzle media in PAI learning can increase students' learning motivation. This media allows students to learn in a beneficial way, as well as increase involvement and interaction in class. Students' responses to the use of puzzle media are very positive. They feel more motivated and interested in following PAI lessons. Puzzle media also helps them better understand the subject matter and improve their cognitive abilities. This study makes an important contribution to innovation in PAI learning methods by emphasizing the importance of using interactive and interesting media. We hope that educators and other researchers can use the results of this study as a reference to develop effective and enjoyable learning methods.

Abstract

The phenomenon or research problem is the use of augmented reality (AR)-based learning media and active learning methods in the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons at SMAN 1 Dukun. This issue arises from the need to evaluate the effectiveness of innovative learning methods and emerging technologies, as well as their relevance in improving student learning outcomes. The purpose of the research is to provide new insights on how to enhance PAI learning and enrich the Merdeka curriculum with relevant technology and teaching methods. This research uses quantitative methods and descriptive hypotheses. The researchers used data analysis techniques in the form of PLS SEM with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 to address the objectives of the study. The research sample consists of students from SMAN 1 Dukun who are studying the subject of PAI. We use random sampling, a method that selects samples randomly without distinguishing between the strata or levels of the students from SMAN 1 Dukun Gresik. This research instrument consists of a closed questionnaire filled out online using Google Forms. The questionnaire takes the form of a Likert scale. We conducted technical data analysis using moderation regression tests, t-tests, and R-Square tests. The study shows that augmented reality (AR)-based learning media and active learning methods have a big direct impact on how well students at SMAN 1 Dukun learn. The T-statistic value is 3.673, which is higher than 1.96 (for 5% significance), and the path coefficient value is positive (0.553). The correlation value between augmented reality (AR)-based learning media and active learning methods and the learning outcomes of students at SMAN 1 Dukun is 94.3% .

Abstract

School principal strategies can enhance the performance of educators in the learning process. In his role as a leader, the principal implements various strategies to increase student achievement as a benchmark for the success of school management. As a leader, the principal plays the role of educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, inspirer, innovator, and motivator. This research aims to explore the strategies implemented by the Head of Madrasah in improving student academic achievement at MTs Al Hidayah Wedoro Glagah Lamongan, as well as identify supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing these strategies. The madrasah principal plays a central role as a leader who is responsible for directing and managing various aspects of education, including his role as educator, manager, administrator, supervisor, inspirer, innovator, and motivator. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing field research methods. We collected data through semi-structured interviews with madrasa heads, teachers, and support staff, as well as through participant observation and the collection of related documents. The data analysis process involves data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, with data validity tested using triangulation techniques to ensure the accuracy of the results. Research findings reveal that madrasah principals have implemented various strategies to improve students' academic achievement. These strategies include adjusting the curriculum for better relevance, developing teacher competency through training and workshops, improving learning facilities and resources, as well as collaborating with external tutors and other educational institutions. Madrasah heads also implement continuous evaluation and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of the strategies implemented and to identify areas that need improvement. The focus of teacher competency development is on enhancing pedagogical skills and utilizing educational technology effectively. Improvements to facilities include the provision of computer laboratories, better libraries, and access to digital resources to support a more modern learning process.

Abstract

BP Ma'arif NU Assa'adah Junior High School is one of the schools that organizes the Islamic Boarding School-Based (SBP) program. In 2009, the Education Office appointed BP Ma'arif NU Assa'adah Junior High School to organize the SBP program, citing the school's readiness and its status as an Islamic boarding school. The focus of this research is the implementation of pesantren-based school education at BP Ma'arif NU Assa'adah Bungah Gresik Junior High School and efforts to improve the quality of pesantren-based school education at BP Ma'arif NU Assa'adah Bungah Gresik Junior High School. This research is qualitative in nature and employs a case study approach. The data collection techniques used in this study are participant observation, unstructured in-depth interviews, and documentation. The study's results demonstrate the development of several aspects of the SBP program at BP Ma'arif NU Assa'adah Junior High School, including curriculum development, facility and infrastructure improvements, human resource (HR) enhancements for both teachers and educators, education personnel, and students, and the enhancement of religious (spiritual) activities. Meanwhile, the focus of efforts to enhance the quality of education through SBP is on developing the curriculum, enhancing the quality of students, and improving the quality of teachers. The theoretical implications show that the Islamic Boarding School-Based Program will be considered good if it is able to integrate the school education system with the Islamic boarding school education system well, which will ultimately create educational outputs with character.

Abstract

This research is motivated by developments in the times where almost everyone has applied technology in their daily lives. Nowadays, technology is used in almost all aspects of education. One of them is at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Hikmah Masangan Bungah. This institution heavily utilizes technology to enhance its educational activities. Some teachers are already proficient in teaching using technology-based learning media. However, some teachers still rely on traditional learning media. Of course, this is less able to increase students' learning motivation, and learning activities tend to be less effective. The aim of this research is to develop conventional Islamic religious education teaching materials into digital ones. In addition, the research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching materials, based on assessments from media (IT) experts, material experts, and subject teachers. This research model employs a qualitative approach to research and development. The ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) serves as the research design. The data collection techniques used questionnaires, observations, and field notes, while the data analysis techniques are descriptive-qualitative, where the data source comes from the learning process. The results of this research are 1) Islamic Religious Education Teaching Materials that are suiTabel for class 5 in the form of learning videos that focus on the material "hadith on the characteristics of Munafiq people." This material aligns with the used curriculum, meets the needs of teachers and students, and has the potential to enhance student learning. 2) Media experts, material experts, and subject teachers unanimously agreed that the material's effectiveness and feasibility test, based on assessment aspects, was appropriate and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process and results of developing story-based animated videos for improving student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education subjects in grade IV of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. We employed the R&D (Research and Development) method, utilizing the ADDIE model from Reiser and Mollanda. We collected data using observation instruments, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis techniques include qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research sample involved 10 students in a small group trial and 18 students in a large group trial at MI Mansya'ul Huda. The results demonstrated a successful improvement in student learning outcomes through the development of story-based animated video media. Pre-test and post-test scores increased by 2% in the high category for the small group and 1.6% for the large group, indicating this improvement. Observations during the learning process revealed that the supporting factors for improving learning outcomes were students' concentration and focus in learning. These findings can be a reference for teachers in using interesting media and efforts to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a graded Arabic language curriculum on the theme “Visiting the Sick” for ADHD students, focusing on structuring the material progressively from simple to complex and from concrete to abstract concepts. We used descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach to collect data through classroom observation, teacher interviews, and curriculum document analysis. The grading stages begin with the introduction of basic vocabulary and simple phrases, progressing to sympathetic expressions, etiquette in visiting, and finally to social and spiritual reflections on health. The findings indicate that this graded material is effective in helping ADHD students gradually understand and master Arabic, with significant improvements in their speaking skills, cultural comprehension, and empathetic abilities toward patients. Implementing a curriculum that considers social and cultural aspects of the Arabic language aligns with Vygotsky’s theory on the importance of social interaction in learning and Bronfenbrenner’s theory on the influence of cultural context. Thus, graded material can enhance the effectiveness of Arabic language learning for ADHD students in an inclusive school setting.
