Abstract

In the 21st century, critical thinking skills, effective communication, collaboration, and creativity are essential in learning. The objective of this study is to scrutinize the Arabic language curriculum, which employs the 4C approach to enhance language proficiency and cultivate students' future-ready character traits. We designed this study using a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study show that the integration of the 4Cs in the Arabic curriculum helps students master language competencies that are more contextual and relevant to daily life, especially in 21st century skills. Additionally, the challenge lies in developing human resources to effectively implement this approach.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of technology-based supervision in improving teacher competence and professionalism in the digital era. The case study was conducted in five Private Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTsS) in Gresik Regency, using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using thematic techniques. The results showed that technology-based supervision, through platforms such as Google Classroom, Zoom, and WhatsApp, had a positive impact on teacher performance and professionalism. In the performance aspect, there was an increase in online classroom management skills, preparation of digital-based lesson plans, and student evaluation. Meanwhile, in terms of professionalism, teachers showed high enthusiasm for developing technological skills, exploring new learning methods, and adapting to technological demands. Constraints include limited internet access, lack of technology training and limited devices. However, opportunities in the form of principal support, allocation of special funds, and adequate infrastructure enable the optimization of technology-based supervision. This study supports the literature which states that the use of technology in supervision improves the quality of teaching and professional interactions. In conclusion, technology-based supervision plays an important role in meeting the needs of education in the digital era and provides solutions to the challenges of supe.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of gratitude and the attitude of gratitude in grade IV students of MI Islamiyah AL Maliki Bojonegoro. In addition, this study also wants to understand the concept of character and the behavior of students' character in the class. In addition, this study aims to explore the role of gratitude in the formation of children's character. The method used in this study is a literature review research model. The results of the study indicate that character is an individual's awareness in acting in accordance with the norms and rules that apply in society. Meanwhile, gratitude is interpreted as a servant's recognition of God for the blessings given, accompanied by an attitude of submission to Him. From this study, it was revealed that most students of MI Islamiyah AL Maliki Bojonegoro have a high level of gratitude. This is evidenced by the fulfillment of all indicators of gratitude explained in the study of Sufism.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role, method, and influence of Sunan Ampel in the development of Islamic education in Nusantara. Sunan Ampel is one of the important figures in the history of Islam in Nusantara, especially in the development of Islamic education. Using historical research methods and content analysis, this study finds that Sunan Ampel plays a significant role in developing Islamic education in Nusantara through innovative and effective teaching methods. This study also finds that Sunan Ampel has a significant role in developing an Islamic education system based on Islamic values and local culture. He successfully developed an Islamic education curriculum that includes fields such as Al-Qur'an, Hadits, Fiqh, and others. The influence of Sunan Ampel on the development of Islamic education in Nusantara is also significant. He successfully inspired subsequent generations to develop Islamic education in Nusantara. This study is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic education in Indonesia and enrich understanding of the history and development of Islam in Nusantara.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers at SMK Sunan Ampel Menganti in utilizing ICT-based learning media, understanding the utilization of the media, and analyzing the quality of Islamic Religious Education at the school, which is located in Gresik Regency, East Java. This type of research is descriptive-qualitative. The data used consists of primary and secondary data. The research instruments include observation guidelines, interviews, and documentation. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out with steps that include data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verifying the validity of the data. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the efforts of Islamic Religious Education teachers in using ICT-based learning media include: first, initial preparation for using the media; second, preparation of ICT-based learning media; third, steps for utilizing the media; fourth, implementation of learning using ICT-based media; and fifth, the results of using ICT-based learning media. (2) The process of utilizing media in Islamic Religious Education learning by teachers includes: initial preparation by compiling lesson plans, preparing ICT-based media, and conveying learning objectives. (3) The quality of PAI learning implemented through ICT-based media helps teachers to deliver material effectively and efficiently, makes it easier for students to understand lessons, opens up scientific knowledge, and provides opportunities for students to study outside of school for longer periods, with the hope of improving student learning achievement

Abstract

In the era of globalization, everything is easy just by using a gadget, from accessing various information, public viewing to social transactions. However, excessive and inappropriate use of gadgets will have an impact on students' personalities. The personality of students should be of special and important attention to become the main mainstream of education in Indonesia, both in the formal, non-formal and informal realms. There are several factors that influence children's character development, including the teacher's example and the use of gadgets. This research aims to determine the influence of teacher example and the use of gadgets on the personality of students at MTs Ihyaul Ulum Cangaan Ujungpangkah Gresik. This research is quantitative research using an associative or affiliate strategy. The population in this study were all MTs Ihyaul Ulum students consisting of 3 classes with a total of 99 students. The sample in this study will be determined using a simple random sampling technique by determining the number of samples using the Michael and Issac formula with an error rate of 5%. Internal resources of madrasa teachers and all MTs Ihyaul Ulum students were involved in this research. This research will be conducted at MTs Ihyaul Ulum Cangaan Ujungpangkah Gresik. The instrument that will be used in this research is an online questionnaire or closed questionnaire via Google Form. The questionnaire will be prepared based on a Likert scale. Technical data analysis will be carried out using hypothesis testing, t test, and F test.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the ability to memorize the Qur'an and achievement motivation on the learning achievement of students in the tahfidz program at MAN 1 Gresik. The ability to memorize the Qur'an not only trains memory and concentration, but also develops discipline and time management skills, which contribute to improving learning achievement. Achievement motivation, which reflects the internal drive to achieve high goals, also plays an important role in determining how much effort students put into learning and facing academic challenges. The research method used is a quantitative method with a research population of 60 students from the tahfidz program at MAN 1 Gresik, with a random sampling technique (sample random sampling). The data collection technique used a questionnaire containing 40 structured statements and using a Likert scale as a measuring tool for use. The data were then analyzed by regression testing using SPSS 15.0 for windows. The results of the analysis showed that the ability to memorize the Qur'an and achievement motivation together had a positive and significant effect on student learning achievement with a multiple regression sig test with a sig value of 0.000 <0.05 and an R Square value of 80.7%. Students who have high memorization ability and strong achievement motivation tend to have better learning achievement than students with lower ability and motivation. This finding emphasizes the importance of integrating the tahfidz program with strategies to increase achievement motivation in an effort to improve the quality of education. The tahfidz program supported by a motivational approach can be an effective solution in optimizing students' academic potential at MAN 1 Gresik.

Abstract

The character of patriotism is an important element in national and state life, because it can foster a sense of nationalism and harmony between citizens. Therefore, patriotism character education needs to be instilled from an early age, both through classroom learning and extracurricular activities. In this context, Aswaja learning at MTs Salafiyah Siman, Lamongan, has an important role in forming patriotism character in students. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with interview techniques as the main data source. The analysis was carried out through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as well as data validation with triangulation and peer discussion. The results of the study showed that the Aswaja values ​​taught include aspects of history, tolerance, mutual respect, and the principles of tawassuth (moderate), tawazzun (balanced), and tasamuh (tolerant). All of these aspects support the formation of patriotism character in students.

Abstract

Japanese education is known for its disciplined, practical education system that focuses on improving the quality of individuals and groups. In Indonesia, there are several Japanese policies implemented, especially in terms of school management, learning methods and a culture of hard work. This study aims to analyze how the influence of Japanese education policies implemented in Indonesia on the Islamic education system, both from the positive side and the challenges. Using a library research approach, this study relies on literature study and policy analysis to understand how the Japanese education system is adapted to the Islamic education situation. The results show that concepts such as high discipline and active learning have a positive impact on teaching effectiveness in Islamic schools. However, there are challenges in maintaining a balance between the positive secular nature of Japanese education and the Islamic values that form the basis of Islamic education in Indonesia. Therefore, an adaptation strategy that considers the synergy between the two systems is needed so that Islamic education retains its identity while utilizing the principles of Japanese education to improve the quality of learning. This research provides insights for education stakeholders in formulating policies that are more contextual and inclusive for the advancement of Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) method in Arabic language learning at the madrasah level. The background of this research is the low reading and writing skills of students, as well as the lack of interaction in the learning process. This study employs both quantitative and qualitative approaches using a classroom action research design. The research sample consists of eighth-grade MTs (Islamic junior high school) students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, documentation, and learning achievement tests. Data analysis is conducted using both descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods, along with triangulation to ensure the validity of the findings. The results show that the application of the CIRC method enhances text comprehension, enriches vocabulary, and encourages active student participation through group discussions. The average post-intervention scores increased significantly compared to the initial scores. Thus, the CIRC method is proven to be effective in fostering a more cooperative, communicative, and student-centered Arabic language learning environment.
