Abstract

The digital era has brought significant transformations to the field of education, including Islamic education. Technology such as the internet, mobile devices, and e-learning platforms have shifted learning models from teacher-centered to student-centered approaches, making education more accessible and flexible. However, Islamic educational institutions like madrasas and pesantrens face unique challenges in integrating technology due to limitations in infrastructure, educator skills, and concerns about preserving Islamic values. This paper explores the opportunities and challenges posed by digitalization for Islamic education, focusing on infrastructure gaps, training needs for educators, and the cultural concerns surrounding the use of technology. The paper also highlights successful case studies from institutions like Madrasah Al-Irsyad and the International Islamic University Malaysia, showing how strategic management and government support can help overcome these challenges. It concludes by emphasizing the importance of integrating technology while maintaining the core values of Islamic education.

Abstract

In partnership with PKBM Nusa Indah, this study attempts to characterize and assess the execution of the Package C Equivalency Education Program for Takhassus pupils at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Quran Misykat al-Anwar. The curriculum goal is to provide students the chance to complete their primary studies and memorization of the Quran while still earning a credential that is comparable to Senior High School (SMA). Using methods for gathering data including in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation, the study takes a qualitative approach. The head of the pesantren, PKBM tutors, and participating students are among the study's key informants. The findings show that this program is effective in giving Takhassus pupils access to general education that is comparable to SMA, despite a number of obstacles still standing, including a dearth of program socialization among the community and resource constraints for teachers. Students express great satisfaction with this curriculum, especially with regard to gaining academic information that enhances their religious education. Additionally, the earned diploma is accepted across the country, giving students the chance to continue their study or find employment. This study highlights how crucial it is for pesantren and PKBM to work together to provide an adaptable yet high-quality teaching program. It is envisaged that the results would provide a basis for suggestions to the pesantren's management and other pertinent parties to improve the Package C Program's execution and lessen current obstacles in order to improve educational achievements.

Abstract

Knowledge and understanding of truth play a pivotal role in shaping the character of youth. The Quran, as the primary source of knowledge in Islam, illustrates this through the story of Yusa' bin Nun, a companion of Prophet Musa, in Surah Al-Kahfi verses 60-65. This research analyzes the role of Yusa' bin Nun in the pursuit of knowledge and truth based on the interpretations of Ibn Al Kathir and Al-Maraghi. Using a qualitative approach and literature review method, the study focuses on two issues: the role of Yusa' bin Nun in seeking knowledge according to Ibn Al Kathir and Al-Maraghi, and the similarities and differences in their opinions. Ibn Al Kathir's interpretation highlights Yusa's loyalty and enthusiasm in seeking knowledge alongside Prophet Musa and Prophet Khidir. Despite facing peculiar actions, Yusa' demonstrates loyalty and conviction, inspiring the younger generation in their scholarly and spiritual journey. Al-Maraghi's interpretation emphasizes the moral role, enthusiasm for learning, and loyalty of Yusa' as symbols of spiritual values. This perspective underscores patience and perseverance in the scholarly journey, revealing that the pursuit of religious knowledge involves profound spiritual experiences. The results of this research provide a deep understanding of the role of youth in seeking knowledge and truth, portraying Yusa' bin Nun as an exemplar of loyalty, enthusiasm for learning, and spiritual experience. This story serves as inspiration for the younger generation, illustrating that the pursuit of knowledge is not merely about acquiring information but also involves profound spiritual experiences.

Abstract

Multicultural education in Indonesia is an important approach to creating an inclusive and harmonious society, considering the ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity that exists in the country. This research aims to explore the dynamics of multicultural education, the challenges faced in its implementation, and provide recommendations for educational policies and practices. The method used is library research, with thematic analysis of various relevant literature. Key findings suggest that while multicultural education has great potential to build tolerance and mutual understanding, its implementation is still hampered by a lack of understanding among educators and limited resources. Concrete examples of multicultural educational practices in some schools show that with the right approach, this education can have a positive impact on student attitudes. The resulting recommendations include improved training for teachers, curriculum revision, and collaboration with the community. The study also identified the need for further studies to explore the long-term impact of multicultural education and its comparison with practices in other countries. By overcoming the existing challenges, it is hoped that multicultural education can be implemented more widely and have a positive impact on future generations in Indonesia.
