Abstract

Max Weber's theory-based leadership emphasises the importance of authority, especially charismatic authority, in influencing and motivating others. Charisma, as a key characteristic, plays a central role in helping educational leaders to achieve their vision and overcome various obstacles. Through a deeper understanding of these concepts, educational leaders can be more effective in creating an inclusive and social justice-orientated educational environment. The purpose of this study is to explain the understanding of charisma and leadership in the context of education management: A Review Based on Max Weber's Theory. The method used in this study uses qualitative research procedures using a research approach in the form of a literature study. The sources of information in this study are reviewed from various novel sources of literature, research reports, scientific essays, theses, dissertations and posts both print and electronic related to Understanding Charisma and Leadership in the Context of Education Management: A Review Based on Max Weber's Theory. The results of this study show that educational leaders have a key role in shaping a more inclusive and socially just future for education. With characteristics of charisma, strong leadership and commitment to social justice values, educational leaders can help create equitable learning environments, provide every student with equal opportunities to grow and develop, and drive positive change in the education system. With charismatic and committed leaders, education has the potential to be a powerful tool in creating a more inclusive and socially just society.

Abstract

Financial management School financial management based on Good Governance is a very important approach to ensure the sustainability and improvement of the quality of education in schools, including in Indonesia, including in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the application of the principles of Good Governance in the management of financial management at MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman. This research uses a descriptive qualitative descriptive qualitative approach to examine school financial management based on Good Governance-based school financial management at MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman. The results of this study show that transparency in reporting and access to financial information at MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman still faces significant challenges. Key factors include the lack of effective information distribution mechanisms, limited access to information for stakeholders, as well as a lack of socialization on the importance of financial transparency. Financial reports are often incomplete and lacking in detail, coupled with the absence of standardized reporting standards, further complicating the situation. Nonetheless, efforts such as regular meetings with school committees and the use of information technology show potential for improvement. To improve transparency, it is necessary to increase the capacity of financial managers through intensive training, conduct regular and independent external audits and obtain clear regulatory support from the government. With these steps, it is expected that transparency in financial management at MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman can be improved. This is expected to increase public trust, encourage active stakeholder participation, and ensure more effective use of funds to improve the overall quality of education. Abstrak Pengelolaan keuangan sekolah berbasis Good Governance merupakan suatu pendekatan yang sangat penting untuk memastikan keberlanjutan dan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah-sekolah, termasuk di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi penerapan prinsip-prinsip Good Governance dalam pengelolaan keuangan di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengkaji pengelolaan keuangan sekolah berbasis Good Governance di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa transparansi dalam pelaporan dan akses informasi keuangan di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman masih menghadapi tantangan signifikan. Faktor utama termasuk kurangnya mekanisme distribusi informasi yang efektif, keterbatasan akses informasi bagi pemangku kepentingan, serta kurangnya sosialisasi mengenai pentingnya transparansi keuangan. Laporan keuangan yang sering kali tidak lengkap dan kurang rinci, ditambah dengan ketiadaan standar pelaporan baku, semakin memperumit situasi ini. Meskipun demikian, upaya seperti rapat rutin dengan komite sekolah dan penggunaan teknologi informasi menunjukkan potensi untuk perbaikan. Demi meningkatkan transparansi, perlu ditingkatkan kapasitas pengelola keuangan melalui pelatihan intensif, dilakukan audit eksternal yang rutin dan independen, serta mendapatkan dukungan regulasi yang jelas dari pemerintah. Dengan langkah-langkah ini, diharapkan transparansi dalam pengelolaan keuangan di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman dapat diperbaiki. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan publik, mendorong partisipasi aktif pemangku kepentingan, dan memastikan penggunaan dana yang lebih efektif untuk peningkatan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

In learning, there are components related to the learning process, one of which is the learning method. In connection with the learning process under study, it was found that so far the learning material at SMPN 2 Sintoga was taught through relatively conventional methods, so that the absorption of material for some students seemed monotonous and boring. This study aims to describe the learning methods applied at SMPN 2 Sintoga. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods with primary data collection through interviews and observations As for secondary data obtained through documentation. The results showed that the application of active learning methods at SMPN 2 Sintoga was 100% unsuccessful, this was indicated by the results of observations and interviews with PAI teachers at SMPN 2 Sintoga. This is also influenced by 2 factors, namely supporting factors such as the existence of adequate learning facilities and resources, high student interest in learning, and the enthusiasm and professionalism of Islamic education teachers in guiding their students and inhibiting factors, namely the existence of some students who are still reluctant to express their opinions, and different student backgrounds. Active learning methods need to be improved so that students can be actively involved in learning activities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan pendidikan Islam di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Yaqin Ringan-Ringan, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, melalui perspektif teori perkembangan sosial dari Auguste Comte. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus digunakan untuk memahami bagaimana pesantren ini mengadaptasi pendidikan agama tradisionalnya menjadi lebih inklusif dan modern sesuai dengan kebutuhan zaman. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pesantren ini mengalami transformasi yang mencerminkan tiga tahap utama teori Comte: teologis, metafisik, dan positif. Awalnya, pesantren berfokus pada pendidikan agama yang dogmatis, namun seiring waktu, mereka mulai mengintegrasikan ilmu pengetahuan umum, teknologi informasi, dan keterampilan praktis ke dalam kurikulum. Transformasi ini berhasil dilakukan melalui kepemimpinan yang visioner dan pendekatan pendidikan yang inklusif, yang memungkinkan santri tidak hanya memahami ajaran agama secara mendalam tetapi juga menguasai keterampilan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja dan masyarakat modern. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pendidikan Islam dapat berkembang secara dinamis dan progresif dengan tetap mempertahankan identitas tradisionalnya, asalkan ada keterbukaan terhadap perubahan dan inovasi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan positifisme dalam pendidikan dapat diimplementasikan dalam konteks pesantren, sehingga memungkinkan santri untuk beradaptasi dengan tuntutan zaman dan berkontribusi lebih luas dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

Digital religious education has emerged as a solution to strengthen individual character in the digital era, considering the rapid technological advancements and the high engagement of the younger generation in the online world. This study aims to analyze the role of digital religious education in shaping positive character, as well as the challenges related to the spread of negative content on digital platforms. Through a literature review, this research examines sources related to the influence of social media and technology in disseminating religious values, character strengthening, and the importance of digital literacy. The findings indicate that digital religious education has great potential to strengthen character through flexibility, interactivity, and the delivery of religious teachings relevant to contemporary challenges. However, challenges related to content quality and the spread of negative content remain major obstacles that need to be addressed through supervision and improved digital literacy. This study suggests the importance of collaboration between technology, religious education, and regulation in creating a digital environment that supports holistic character development.

Abstract

Abstrak Integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan tidak selalu berjalan mulus, terutama di lingkungan madrasah yang harus menjaga keseimbangan antara pendidikan umum dan nilai-nilai keislaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi strategi optimalisasi kepemimpinan guru di MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pembelajaran Islam di era revolusi industri 5.0 dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan guru madrasah, kepala madrasah, dan peserta didik serta observasi secara langsung di kelas selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman secara aktif mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dan melaksanakan pelatihan profesional bagi guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. (2) Meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti infrastruktur terbatas dan kesenjangan digital, teknologi telah meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan peserta didik. (3) Kepemimpinan guru berperan penting dalam mengatasi hambatan dan mendorong penggunaan teknologi, sementara dukungan pimpinan madrasah dan kebijakan yang fleksibel memfasilitasi keberhasilan integrasi. (4) Pelatihan yang terfokus pada keterampilan digital dan pedagogis telah memperbaiki efektivitas pembelajaran. Upaya ini menunjukkan komitmen madrasah untuk beradaptasi dengan era digital, dengan harapan bahwa pengembangan profesional dan akses yang merata akan memperkuat kualitas pendidikan dan mempersiapkan peserta didik untuk masa depan.   Abstract The integration of technology in education does not always run smoothly, especially in madrasah environments which must maintain a balance between general education and Islamic values. This research aims to identify strategies for optimizing teacher leadership at MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman in an effort to improve the quality of Islamic learning in the era of the industrial revolution 5.0 using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews with madrasa teachers, madrasa heads and students as well as direct observations in the classroom during the learning process. Data collection techniques use techniques snowball sampling. The research results show that (1) MTsN 1 Padang Pariaman actively integrates technology in learning and carries out professional training for teachers to improve the quality of education. (2) Despite facing challenges such as limited infrastructure and the digital divide, technology has increased student motivation and engagement. (3) Teacher leadership plays an important role in overcoming barriers and encouraging the use of technology, while madrasa leadership support and flexible policies facilitate successful integration. (4) Training focused on digital and pedagogical skills has improved learning effectiveness. This effort shows the madrasa's commitment to adapting to the digital era, with the hope that professional development and equitable access will strengthen the quality of education and prepare students for the future.

Abstract

This study examines Ahmad Dahlan's thoughts on education as a means of community empowerment and social transformation. Ahmad Dahlan, the founder of the Muhammadiyah organization, viewed education as the primary tool to liberate Muslims from ignorance, backwardness, and social injustice. His educational approach integrated religious and general sciences while providing practical skills relevant to societal needs. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a literature study to explore Ahmad Dahlan's educational concepts and their application in community empowerment. The findings reveal that Ahmad Dahlan emphasized inclusive education, ensuring access for all social groups, including the poor and women, while focusing on the development of individuals with strong social and moral awareness. In his perspective, education functions as an agent of social change, fostering a more just, prosperous, and civilized society. Rooted in Islamic values, his educational model remains relevant in addressing modern educational challenges.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the noble values or character education contained in Minangkabau local wisdom so that later it can be a reference in behaviour. And for the introduction of the younger generation so that this local wisdom still exists in the modern era. The type of research used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Informants in this study, namely the selection of informants based on certain characteristics and objectives. The results of this study reveal that the internalisation of character education based on Minangkabau local wisdom can occur through Minangkabau Natural Culture (BAM) or Local Content (Mulok) subjects in West Sumatra, through traditional Minangkabau stories that are full of moral values such as Kaba but are now starting to be abandoned, as well as through wise expressions typical of Minangkabau. In the midst of the rapid development of the times, it is hoped that the internalisation of character education based on local wisdom can overcome moral degradation among the younger generation lately. Not only that, by implementing the values of local wisdom in everyday life, it means that we help maintain local culture so that it still exists in the midst of the globalisation era. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai luhur atau pendidikan karakter yang terdapat di dalam kearifan lokal Minangkabau agar kelak dapat menjadi acuan dalam bersikap. Dan untuk pengenalan juga bagi generasi muda agar kearifan lokal ini tetap eksis di era modern. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Studi Kasus (case study). Informan dalam penelitian ini, yakni pemilihan informan berdasarkan ciri-ciri dan tujuan tertentu.. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa internalisasi pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal Minangkabau dapat terjadi melalui mata pelajaran Budaya Alam Minangkabau (BAM) atau Muatan Lokal (Mulok) di Sumatera Barat, melalui cerita-cerita tradisional Minangkabau yang syarat akan nilai moral seperti Kaba namun sekarang sudah mulai ditinggalkan, serta melalui ungkapan-ungkapan bijak khas Minangkabau. Di tengah perkembangan zaman yang begitu pesat diharapkan internalisasi pendidikan karakter berbasis kearifan lokal ini dapat menanggulangi degradasi moral di kalangan generasi muda belakangan ini. Tidak hanya itu saja dengan mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam kehidupan sehari-hari berarti kita turut menjaga budaya lokal agar tetap eksis di tengah era globalisasi.

Abstract

Competency management of PAI teachers is not only related to theoretical understanding of religion, but also their ability to deliver subject matter in an interesting way, motivate students to apply religious values in their lives, and create a learning environment that supports students' moral development in shaping students' morals. The purpose of this study is to explain the Competency Management of PAI Teachers in the Formation of Moral Character of Students of SMPN 2 Sintoga Padang Pariaman. The method used in this study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The case study approach is a powerful tool for exploring a particular situation or event carefully, deeply, and in detail. This approach allows researchers to gain a better understanding of the complexity and dynamics of a phenomenon or problem in a real context. The results of this study show that the role of PAI teachers, the initiatives and teaching methods used, as well as the positive impacts, we can appreciate the school's efforts in shaping better student characters. However, challenges and measures of success must also be considered so that PAI teachers' competency management can continue to improve and contribute to students' educational and moral development in the future. PAI teachers' competency management plays a key role in shaping students' good character. With a strong commitment, schools can continuously improve this process and make a significant positive contribution to students' religious education and moral development in the future. Abstrak Manajemen kompetensi guru PAI tidak hanya berkaitan dengan pemahaman teoritis agama, tetapi juga kemampuan mereka dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran dengan cara yang menarik, memotivasi siswa untuk menerapkan nilai-nilai agama dalam kehidupan mereka, dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung perkembangan moral siswa dalam membentuk akhlakul karimah siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang Manajemen Kompetensi Guru PAI dalam Pembentukan Akhlakul Karimah Siswa SMPN 2 Sintoga Padang Pariaman. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pendekatan studi kasus adalah alat yang kuat untuk menjelajahi situasi atau peristiwa tertentu dengan cermat, mendalam, dan rinci. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kompleksitas dan dinamika suatu fenomena atau masalah dalam konteks nyata. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peran guru PAI, inisiatif dan metode pengajaran yang digunakan, serta dampak positifnya dalam pembentukan akhlak siswa. Dengan komitmen yang kuat, sekolah dapat terus meningkatkan proses ini dan memberikan kontribusi positif yang signifikan pada pendidikan agama dan pembentukan akhlakul karimah siswa di masa depan.

Abstract

Postgraduate students of the Islamic Education Study Programme (PAI) at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang have unique challenges and opportunities in their studies. In 2023, Postgraduate Islamic Education students at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang can utilise the latest developments in technology to improve the quality and efficiency of their assignment writing. One technology that is increasingly dominating the world of education is Artificial Intelligence (AI). In particular, Perflexity AI is one of the AI systems that has great potential to assist students in completing their academic assignments. The purpose of this study is to explain the Utilisation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Perflexity AI in Writing Assignments of Postgraduate PAI Students of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang 2023. The method used in this study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The case study approach is a powerful tool for exploring a particular situation or event carefully, deeply, and in detail. This approach allows researchers to gain a better understanding of the complexity and dynamics of a phenomenon or problem in a real context. The results of this study show that Islamic Education students of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang have managed to achieve success with the support of AI. This provides encouragement and ideas for students to utilise similar technologies in their academic journey. We must also realise that the world of education is constantly evolving and changing. Postgraduate Islamic Education students at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang must be prepared to face future challenges related to the development of AI technology. With a deep understanding of the benefits and ethics of using AI, they can become key players in shaping a smarter and more innovative future of education. In this way, AI technology can be a useful tool in the achievement of higher academic goals. Abstrak Mahasiswa Pascasarjana Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di UIN Imam Bonjol Padang memiliki tantangan dan peluang yang unik dalam menjalani studi mereka. Pada tahun 2023, para mahasiswa PAI Pascasarjana UIN Imam Bonjol Padang dapat memanfaatkan perkembangan terbaru dalam teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan efisiensi penulisan tugas mereka. Salah satu teknologi yang semakin mendominasi dunia pendidikan adalah Artificial Intelligence (AI) atau kecerdasan buatan. Khususnya, Perflexity AI adalah salah satu sistem AI yang memiliki potensi besar untuk membantu mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas akademis mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence (AI) Perflexity AI Dalam Penulisan Tugas Mahasiswa PAI Pascasarjana UIN Imam Bonjol Padang 2023. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pendekatan studi kasus adalah alat yang kuat untuk menjelajahi situasi atau peristiwa tertentu dengan cermat, mendalam, dan rinci. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang kompleksitas dan dinamika suatu fenomena atau masalah dalam konteks nyata. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa PAI Pascasarjana UIN Imam Bonjol Padang telah berhasil meraih kesuksesan dengan dukungan AI. Ini memberikan dorongan semangat dan ide bagi mahasiswa untuk memanfaatkan teknologi serupa dalam perjalanan akademik mereka. Kita juga harus menyadari bahwa dunia pendidikan terus berkembang dan berubah. Mahasiswa PAI Pascasarjana UIN Imam Bonjol Padang harus siap menghadapi tantangan masa depan yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan teknologi AI.
