Participants in this study were 18 children in group A and 3 class teachers in group A. Data collection in this study used observation and interview. Interviews were conducted directly and openly with 3 class teachers. The data collected by the children was analyzed using the Clark and Braun thematic analysis technique. This study found that in the first semester in group A, they did not have the readiness to introduce writing skills so the children's teacher introduced writing skills in the second semester. There is no readiness in this child because the child's fine motor development has not developed properly, so the main focus is on the achievement target, namely on the development of children's development, especially fine motor skills. This achievement target and media are different from the previous year, this is due to the lack of habit of writing in the home environment, the role of parents, and the collaboration of teacher with parents

Abstract

Character education is a necessity that must be carried out in Indonesia for three reasons such as ideological, philosophical, and normative reasons. This is because the development of human resources in Indonesia must be based on the nation's noble ideals based on Pancasila values. One of the initial contributions of character education in Indonesia was education organized by Islamic boarding schools for a long time. In it, there is an in-depth study related to the inculcation of character values, namely the ideas related to educational management conveyed by Al-Ghazali in Ihya Ulumuddin. Among these ideas is attention to important aspects of management functions ranging from planning implementation to job evaluation. This study uses a concept analysis method to understand and describe the idea of character education management conceptually from Al-Ghazali's perspective in Ihya Ulumuddin. The analysis was carried out through a concept advancement approach, to obtain a scientific definition directly integrated with the conceptual framework according to empirical reality. It is hoped that this approach can translate Al-Ghazali's ideas which tend to be moral-Sufi into a broader educational management framework. Based on the variations of educational management functions offered by experts, Al-Ghazali offers a hexalogy of management functions, namely; 1) Musyarathah which consists of planning, organization of resources, time management, and the formulation of performance indicators. 2) Muraqabah, namely systematic monitoring and actualization of performance indicators. 3) Muhasabah, consists of reporting, self-evaluation, and supervision from superiors to an evaluation of work programs. 4) Mu'aqabah, namely reward and punishment must be carried out to maintain the stability of the series of the three previous functions. 5) Mujahadah and 6) Mu'tabah, namely a motivation to always improve the quality of targets and levels of performance indicators with a spirit of dissatisfaction with the results that have been achieved.

Abstract

This research aims to present the implementation of academic and non-academic Monitoring in higher education institutions using the literature review method as a source of information. Monitoring in both academic and non-academic fields in higher education is crucial to ensure that the standards of education and educational services provided are met. In the academic field, Monitoring is carried out to ensure that the learning process is effective, the teaching materials are of high quality, and the lecturers have adequate competencies. Meanwhile, in the non-academic field, Monitoring is conducted to ensure that campus security is guaranteed, educational facilities and infrastructure are adequate, and student involvement in campus activities is well-maintained. To improve the effectiveness of Monitoring in both academic and non-academic fields in higher education, universities can implement new strategies and innovations such as utilizing technology, developing evaluation instruments, and increasing student involvement in the Monitoring process. Effective Monitoring will have positive impacts such as improving the quality of education, student satisfaction, lecturer professionalism, campus security, and student involvement in campus activities. Research has shown that effective Monitoring in both academic and non-academic fields in higher education has positive implications for improving the quality of education and educational services. Furthermore, effective Monitoring can positively impact students, lecturers, and the wider community. Therefore, it is important for universities to carry out effective Monitoring in both academic and non-academic fields to ensure that all education and educational services processes meet the established quality standards.
