Abstract

Students of Biology Education Study Program, Abulyatama University generally come from rural areas and small islands in Aceh. In those areas access to the internet network is still limited. Hence, the development of information and communication technology is also affected. Therefore, many students are not familiar in using the internet and information and communication technology for learning purposes, even the simplest thing in the 4.0 era, such as an e-mail is new for them. Through this community service activity, students are expected to understand how to use e-mail to support the learning process and improve their digital literacy. The activity was carried out in two steps which were (1) socialization and (2) technical training. It was participated by 36 new students in School of Biology Education, Abulyatama University. This activity was successfully conducted. Each student now has their own e-mail that would be used in the learning process and other formal administrative needs. Keywords: socialization, technical training , e-mail, digital literation

Abstract

Garbage is a problem that often arises in environmental areas. The amount of waste generated in the city of Banda Aceh is 576 tons per day, and 64,000 is household waste. Waste management can be started from the household environment, namely by increasing the knowledge of family members in controlling household waste into compost. This fertilizer comes from organic materials with a simple manufacturing technique. Waste management becomes compost fertilizer can improve the community's economy and become a fertilizer center that is productive and environmentally friendly. Meunasah Mon Cut Village, Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar. The generated household waste is still disposed of and has not been utilized optimally. Therefore, the counseling and training program on composting is very useful and provides skills to the community in producing compost. It is hoped that with this community empowerment program, Meunasah Mon Cut Village can turn useless waste into goods of high commercial value such as compost.

Abstract

Perkembangan  perdagangan dan bisnis saat ini sangat tergantung pada transaksi secara eletronik komersil atau yang disebut e commerce secara online dengan berbagai aplikasi digital bisnis yang memang menawarkan banyak pilihan dan kemudahan sehingga persaingan  sangat ketat   tajam hal ini menuntut pelaku bisnis harus siap bersaing di era digitalisasi yang membutuhkan kemampuan dalam menjalankan bisnis online karena tuntutan zaman dipengaruhi oleh  informasi  yang  jelas  dan  akurat dalam mengambil keputusan dan menentukan tindakan yang harus dilakukan untuk mengembangkan dan mempertahankan usahanya. Aceh Besar merupakan kawasan yang sangat strategis dan memiliki banyak pelaku UMKM yang terus meningkat jumlahnya setiap tahun. Kecamatan Kuta Cot Glie merupakan kecamatan yang termasuk dalam wilayah Kabupaten Aceh besar juga memiliki banyak pelaku UMKM yang tersebar disetiap desa dikecamatan tersebut. Namun banyak pelaku UMKM di kecamatan Kuta Cot Glie yang belum memanfaatkan peluang dari perkembangan teknologi informasi dalam memasarkan produknya. Digital marketing adalah penerapan teknologi digital yang memberikan kontribusi terhadap kegiatan pemasaran yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan dengan memperluas pangsa pasar serta membangun dan mengembangkan hubungan dengan pelanggan. Tentunya hal ini juga dapat dimanfaatkan oleh pelaku UMKM dalam memasarkan produknya secara online tidak terkecuali UMKM di desa-desa yang berada di kecamatan Kuta Cot Glie Kabupaten Aceh Besar

Abstract

This community service activity had been held for 1st grade elementary school of SD Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh during June 2022. The use of puppet and storytelling in introducing basic English is an interesting and fun activity for children. This activity aimed to make the participants able to understand basic English quickly which can be used as a stepping stone to understand English daily. The methodology used was the lecture method using puppet in the form of cards that have been attached to ice cream sticks and colored. The materials provided were alphabets, numbers and colors, then followed by storytelling using other puppets entitled The bear and friends. The results obtained that the participants were very enthusiastic and able to catch the material quickly, this can be seen when the participants could answer all the questions about the materials provided.Keyword: Puppet story, basic English, community service

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is a health behavior carried out by a person with individual awareness that can help him from an illness and can become an individual who plays an active role in the health sector in community activities.  PHBS needs to be applied to children from an early age so that children understand and are able to apply it in everyday life. This effort must start from instilling a healthy mindset in society which must be started and worked on by oneself. This effort is to realize the highest level of public health as an investment for the development of productive human resources.  The aim of the service is to provide an understanding of the importance of healthy living. The method used in this service is face to face. Several stages carried out in this service activity are making plans, delivering material through counseling, hand washing demonstrations, questions and answers, and re-demonstrations. There were 20 participants in this activity at the Kutabaro Village hall building. The research results showed that this service activity ran smoothly, because the support and participation of the participants were quite enthusiastic and active in this activity. This community service activity is able to increase participants' understanding of the importance of PHBS in everyday life. Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), especially washing hands using soap and water, has been carried out with steps and demonstration. Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge to Elementary School 5’s teachers in Syamtalira Aron about how to create Canva-based learning presentation media. The method we apply is direct assistance to teachers in the process of creating Canva-based Learning Presentation Media. Our team will provide intensive guidance to assist teachers in mastering the use of Canva and designing effective presentation media. The expected outcome of this service activity is to offer substantial support to teachers, enabling them to independently create learning presentation media that suit their needs. By focusing on Canva as a creative tool, we want to ensure that teachers can optimize the use of presentation media in their learning process. Through this assistance, it is hoped that teachers will acquire not only new knowledge but also practical skills in creating engaging and effective learning materials. Abstract

Improvement of awareness and participation of the community regarding waste management is carried out through efforts in increasing knowledge, facilitating and enabling community to manage waste independently. Therefore, the community will be empowered in building a healthy and sustainable environment. Community service activities was implemented in February 2020 including health education regarding waste management and workshop related to waste sorting practices as well as composting activity using organic waste/household waste and reprocess waste from used plastic bags. The activities was carried out in Meeting Hall, Kueh Village, Lhoknga District, Aceh Besar. Majority of participants are housewives and young adult women in Kueh Village. The main content of activities is waste management that are applicable at community level or in household settings, thus these activities increase community awareness about environmental health problems and empowering them to manage organic waste into compost and reuse plastic bags by reprocessing them into varied goods. Abstract

Kebijakan pemerintah daerah berupa penutupan kawasan objek wisata sebagai antisipasi penyebaran  virus Covid  -19 telah  berimbas  pada penurunan  omset para  pengrajin  rotan  di kawasan Lhoknga – Aceh Besar. Atas landasan masalah di atas, maka ada dua tujuan yang hendak dicapai melalui kegiatan  pengabdian  masyarakat ini, pertama, kegiatan  ini bertujuan  untuk membekali para pengrajin rotan dengan keterampilan hard skill berupa penguasaan tehnik kerajinan decoupage dan softskill berupa asah kreativitas pada media seni decoupage. Kedua, kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah dan nilai jual produk sebagai upaya peningkatan omset. Kegiatan pelatihan ini diikuti oleh 24 orang ibu – ibu pengrajin rotan dari empat desa yakni desa Kueh, Lamgaboh, Aneuk Paya dan Lamcok. Adapun bentuk kegiatan pengabdian ini dibagi menjadi tiga tahapan yakni sesi pelatihan tehnik decoupage, sesi praktek keterampilan dan asah kreativitas, sesi pemasaran produk dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah para peserta telah menguasai tenik Basic Decoupage Art, mampu menerapkan keahlian tersebut pada produk kerajinan baru seperti teleman dan clutch, serta meningkatkan nilai jual produknya.

Abstract

Children are the most vulnerable group to experience various problems in the disaster area, especially health problems. Therefore, it is necessary to do health promotion for children to increase their awareness and knowledge regarding health issues. This activity aims to raise elementary school students about clean and healthy life behavior through oration, speech contest, distribution of health promotion media (comics), and the inauguration of clean and healthy life behavior agents of Pidie Jaya Regency. This activity involved 300 students from various elementary schools in Pidie Jaya Regency, 30 teachers, and 50 invited guests. In this activity, 930 health promotion media (comics) were successfully distributed to campaign participants and schools in Pidie Jaya Regency, and 8 clean and healthy life behavior agents of Pidie Jaya Regency were successfully chosen by embedding the pin. The government should follow up this activity by empowering the established agents so that they can become agents of change in the community.Keywords: Comic; Campaign, Health Promotion Media, clean and healthy life behavior, Students

Abstract

The purpose of this community dedication is to broaden the insight of the village apparatus, the communities related to the development of the tourist village, as well as to raise public awareness of the importance of the management of tourist villages. The outputs obtained from the service of this community are (1) the participants, can add knowledge and insight about the importance of the management of tourism that exists in the City of Banda Aceh from various villages spread out. (2) From the results of socialization, participants understand about the purpose of socialisation to empower the villages that have tourist places and socialization ended with a question-answer session, received some questions from the participants and the community in them: (a) How to develop the tourist village in the village? (b) How the role of the government and the apparatus of the village in developing the village towards the village of Tourism?
