Abstract

Studying a woman's cancer diagnosis and its impact on marital relationships, along with the husband's role in supporting her, is crucial due to the widespread prevalence of this disease and the significant marital challenges it can cause, sometimes even leading to divorce. This research analyzes the psychological and social challenges couples face, examines the illness's impact on their relationship, and highlights the husband's supportive role during this difficult period. Notably, the husband is also vulnerable to emotional setbacks, highlighting his need for psychological support as well. This research includes a systematic review of previous studies on couples facing breast cancer, employing both descriptive and analytical methodologies. The findings indicate that religious values and personal beliefs can serve as therapeutic tools, helping couples cope with the emotional trauma casused by the illness. Additionally, shared medical decision-making, mutual emotional support, and joint coping strategies play a vital role in reducing emotional distress. The study further concludes that the husband's emotional support is a key factor in enhancing the wife's quality of life. These findings underscore the need for counseling programs for spouses to help them navigate the challenges associated with the disease effectively.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between age and perceived psychological stress among Moroccan professional football players. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected from 250 players in the first and second divisions of the Moroccan Professional League, divided into four age groups: under 20, 21–25, 26–30, and over 31. The results revealed a significant inverse relationship between age and stress levels. Players under 20 experienced the highest stress, with 46.43% reporting high-stress levels, while only 13.16% of players over 31 reported the same. Mid-career players (26–30 years) showed more balanced stress levels, benefiting from both experience and physical peak performance. Statistical analysis using the Chi-square test confirmed this trend (χ² = 19.1296, p =<0.01), indicating a significant link between age and perceived stress. These findings suggest that younger players struggle more with stress due to limited experience and coping skills, while older players benefit from greater psychological resilience. Based on this, we recommend age-specific psychological interventions to enhance stress management strategies for football players at different career stages.

Abstract

This study critically examines the politics of international donor support in Nigeria through a post-colonial lens, exploring its implications for national sovereignty, economic development, and governance. The research investigates how foreign aid, while often framed as a development tool, perpetuates economic dependency and policy subjugation. Utilising dependency theory and post-colonial theory, the study evaluates the extent to which donor interventions influence Nigeria’s policy autonomy. This study adopts a qualitative approach, utilising secondary data from peer-reviewed journals, books, online materials and case studies. The findings indicate that while international aid has contributed significantly to healthcare, education, and infrastructure development, its effectiveness is often undermined by corruption, weak institutional frameworks, and external policy conditions imposed by donor agencies. Moreover, the study highlights the neo-colonial undertones of donor support, where funding is frequently tied to structural adjustments that limit Nigeria’s self-determination. The study concludes that achieving sustainable development in Nigeria requires a strategic shift towards economic diversification, enhanced transparency in aid management, and increased local ownership of development initiatives. Recommendations include strengthening governance institutions, reducing donor dependency, and fostering domestic revenue generation to ensure long-term economic resilience.

Abstract

The integration of local wisdom in education has become an important approach in shaping the character of students. One relevant local wisdom is the philosophy of Huma Betang, which reflects the values of togetherness, deliberation, tolerance, and brotherhood, and aligns with Islamic teachings, especially in the concepts of ukhuwah Islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood), tasamuh (tolerance), and ta'awun (mutual assistance). This research aims to explore how the values of Huma Betang can be integrated into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning to create a more humanistic, contextual, and participatory learning system. This type of research is systematic qualitative using the PRISMA approach, which includes searching, filtering, and analyzing field data and literature theories from various relevant sources. The results of the study show that applying Huma Betang values in PAI not only enriches learning methods with local cultural context but also plays a role in building student character that is more tolerant, moderate, and has high social awareness. Furthermore, this approach can bridge the gap between religious teachings and cultural realities of society, thus creating harmony between religious identity and local wisdom. Therefore, the integration of Huma Betang in PAI has the potential to improve the overall quality of education and help students face social and cultural challenges in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is an urgent necessity for Islamic educational institutions in responding to global challenges and the demands of the modern era. Transforming the culture of quality is a strategic approach to develop an Islamic education system that is competitive, holistic, and character-driven. This study aims to examine the role of quality culture in enhancing institutional performance and to design effective and sustainable transformation steps. The method used is literature review and descriptive qualitative analysis of best practices implemented in several Islamic educational institutions. The findings reveal that a quality culture grounded in Islamic values such as amanah (trustworthiness), ihsan (excellence), and istiqamah (consistency) contributes to building a learning environment that is religious, collaborative, and responsive to change. The success of quality culture transformation relies heavily on leadership commitment, stakeholder involvement, and the implementation of an integrated quality management system. Therefore, transforming the quality culture not only improves academic performance but also reinforces the spiritual and social missions of Islamic educational institutions in shaping morally upright future generations.
