Abstract

This research is motivated by a lack of awareness and understanding among parents regarding the importance of Islamic parenting; many parents who care for and educate their children are not balanced with religious knowledge and the guidance of the Prophet, which results in acts of bullying and violence in raising children and even causes children to die. This research intends to discover the Islamic parenting values contained in the QS. Luqman verses 13, 16 and 17 Study of Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka and its relevance to today's life. This research is qualitative, with library research using the Tahlili interpretation method approach. The primary data source for this research is the Book of Tafsir Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka, which is supported by various literature relevant to the research in the form of books, articles, journals, theses, dissertations, etc. The data analysis technique in this research is a content analysis using the tahlili method. Some of the findings in this research include (1) Islamic parenting values in QS. Luqman verses 13, 16 and 17 of Buya Hamka's Al-Azhar Tafsir Study can be classified into three central values, namely the values of faith, worship and morals. The explanation of these three values includes prohibiting associating partners with Allah, strengthening a human's inner relationship with Allah, doing good deeds and making efforts, establishing prayers, commanding good and evil, and being patient. (2) Islamic parenting values in QS. Luqman verses 13, 16 and 17 of the Tafsir Al-Azhar study will always be relevant in parenting and people's lives because these Islamic parenting values provide strong spiritual and moral guidance in facing various challenges and changing times. By integrating the values of faith, worship, and morals into a parenting approach, parents can guide their children to become religious, responsible, and noble individuals.

Abstract

This research will examine KH. Ahmad Dahlan's thoughts on progressive Islamic education, including the development of religious education. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis to examine various works and thoughts of KH Ahmad Dahlan. The research findings are that KH Ahmad Dahlan's thoughts on progressive Islamic education emphasize the development of socio-emotional, intellectual, moral, and creative potential. The concept of interfaith education that he promoted education does not discriminate against religion, allowing Muhammadiyah schools to accept students from various religious backgrounds. In addition, the implementation of KH. Ahmad Dahlan's thought leads three main concepts: humanization, liberalization, and emancipation perspectives. The humanization perspective emphasizes gender equality in education, the liberalization perspective on awareness of social reality and local culture, and the emancipation perspective on individual liberation from stagnant thinking.

Abstract

The intensity of cases of violence, drugs, sexual violence, anarchist demonstrations, and problems that hurt national education. One factor is the disorientation of PAI values in the Islamic education curriculum, which no longer emphasises divinity, humanity and nature. This research examines the development of the Islamic religious education curriculum in a historical and sociological review. The research method used is library research with content analysis, namely studying the development of the PAI curriculum with data sources based on literature, such as books, regulations, and scientific articles that examine the development of the PAI curriculum. The results of this research show that changes to the 1947-1968 curriculum and the Goal Achievement Oriented Curriculum, namely the 1975 curriculum and the 1994 curriculum; Competency-Oriented Curriculum, namely the 2004 competency-based curriculum (KBK), the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP), and the 2013 curriculum. Based on a sociological review, curriculum changes are a norm of development over time; still, the penetration of PAI values such as divinity, humanity and nature in every change in the curriculum is relatively disorienting in practice.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the da'wah of Sunan Kalijaga, which was based on local culture in the midst of Javanese society, which still embraced Hinduism and Buddhism at that time. The spread of Islam in Java faced theological, religious, and moral challenges because it was a new teaching. The research method used is a qualitative-library study using literature in the form of books and scientific research. The data was analyzed through descriptive analysis focusing on Sunan Kalijaga's cultural da'wah axiology. The results showed that Sunan Kalijaga's cultural da'wah involved the acculturation of Javanese culture and Islamic values, with the principles of upholding the cultural values of the Palace, enriching Islamic literature, considering social, cultural, and political stability, and being protected by the government. This da'wah's creedal and moral values include religious moderation, increasing religious harmony, and faith in Allah, the Prophet, and the Qur'an.

Abstract

This research examines inter-religious harmony in Panjunan Bulusidokare Village, Sidoarjo, with a focus on tolerance and religious pluralism, as well as the application of Imam Syafi'i's perspective in social and religious contexts. The purpose of this study is to understand the dynamics of tolerance between religious communities, especially in terms of mutual understanding and respect for religious differences, and to identify the principles of pluralism according to Imam Syafi'i that are relevant in the daily lives of people in Panjunan Bulusidokare Village. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with religious leaders, community leaders, and community members from various religions in the village. Data analysis used a thematic approach to identify patterns and themes related to religious pluralism and tolerance by applying John Hick's theory of pluralism that distinguishes two types of religious experience: the experience of God as a personal and non-personal entity. This study found that religious tolerance in Panjunan Bulusidokare Village is achieved through mutual understanding, respect for differences, and prioritizing the principle of social cooperation between religious communities. In addition, the results show that tolerance in Islam is not only based on religious beliefs but also in the context of protecting non-Muslim rights and inclusive social interactions. The contribution of this research is to enrich the understanding of tolerance and religious pluralism, particularly in the context of rural communities in Indonesia, as well as integrating Imam Syafi'i's perspective within the framework of John Hick's theory of pluralism to promote interfaith harmony. It also provides practical guidance for creating a more harmonious and respectful society amidst religious differences.

Abstract

Marketing in the context of educational services is a social and managerial process that aims to get what is needed and desired by creating offers and exchanging valuable products with other parties in the field of education. Marketing ethics in the world of education is to offer the quality of intellectual services and the formation of character as a whole. This is because education is complex and is carried out by the person responsible. The schooling results refer far to the future, fostering the lives of citizens and the next generation of scientists. Maintaining the existence and image of the school in the eyes of the public and customers of educational services amid the rapid competition is done by carrying out educational service marketing activities. In this regard, the educational marketing at Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School Cairo Palembang offers superior programs implemented in various extracurricular activities. The superior programs offered at Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School Cairo Palembang through this marketing activity to quickly be distributed to the community and customers of educational services, Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School Cairo Palembang has selected and established an effective marketing management strategy, namely word of mouth or mouth to mouth. The research results show that the marketing concept carried out at Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School Cairo Palembang is to offer superior programs using various strategies. Marketing activities carried out by implementing marketing strategies have turned out to have a positive impact that is quite significant. This is evident from the many enthusiasts from the community who obtain educational services for their children at Al Azhar Islamic Junior High School Cairo Palembang today.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of character education in the view of Imam Al-Ghazali as stated in the book of Bidayatul Hidayah, this study specializes in examining the chapter of Avoiding Maksiat. This study is motivated by the assumption of the urgency of building a superior and noble generation through the internalization of good values. Imam Al-Ghazali explicitly emphasizes the importance of attention to students as a strategic step in creating a generation of intellectuals with character. In order to dig deeper into these thoughts, this research uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach. Primary data is obtained from the book Bidayatul Hidayah by Imam Al-Ghazali, while secondary data comes from relevant supporting literature. The data analysis technique was conducted through content analysis, focusing on the identification of character education values listed in the chapter of Abstaining from Maksiat. The results show that character education, according to Imam Al-Ghazali, aims to instill good values that are realized through guarding the seven limbs such as the eyes, ears, tongue, stomach, genitals, hands, and feet from sinful acts. This approach emphasizes the importance of self-control as the main foundation in the formation of noble morals. This study also found that the concept of character education in Imam Al-Ghazali's perspective remains relevant to the needs of modern education, especially in forming individuals who have moral integrity and intellectual abilities. This study provides an important contribution in broadening insights into the application of character education based on classical Islamic values, as well as integrating these principles into contemporary educational paradigms

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology demands an increase in basic science process skills (KPS) and student learning outcomes, especially in science education. This study aims to examine the effect of discovery learning model on KPS and science learning outcomes of grade VI students at SDIT Al Madinah Maros. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving control and experimental groups without random selection (nonequivalent control group design). Data were collected through validated observation sheets and analyzed using the MANOVA statistical test. The results showed that the discovery learning model had a significant effect on improving students' KPS and learning outcomes compared to the conventional learning method. This finding indicates that discovery learning is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding. The implications of this study support the application of the discovery learning model in the broader context of science education to develop better process skills and learning outcomes. However, further research with more diverse samples and more comprehensive measurement methods is needed to strengthen the generalizability of these findings.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal how the policy-making process carried out by SMPS-IT and SMAS-IT Muslimah Sejati Bekasi, starting from the formulation, and implementation, to policy evaluation, which will end in the value of effectiveness and efficiency as a form of institution existence. This study uses qualitative research through descriptive analysis methods with data collection models using interviews, documentation, observations, and triangulation of sources, techniques, and theories. Through this method, researchers get a finding containing policy cases from two institutions related to the similarities and differences between the formulation process and effectiveness and efficiency. In the formulation process, both have different policies between online and offline, but in the formulation, each has weaknesses consisting of flaws in analysis and alternatives. Meanwhile, in terms of implementation, there are obstacles, individually and institutionally, composed of weak motivation and the disintegration of some teachers and staff. The evaluation has similarities in the implementation system, namely, using a formative, summative model. In terms of effectiveness and efficiency, both achieved the same value. Namely, they were both able to graduate students of 30 Juz Qur'an, while inefficiency there were shortcomings in financing and dependence on electricity in the teaching and learning process.
