Abstract

A map is a representation of the earth's surface reduced to two dimensions, allowing efficient observation of the extent of the earth. Thematic maps present specific data in relation to specific topography. Remote sensing uses technology for processing data without direct contact with objects. The GPS Essential and ArcGIS applications help in creating distribution maps, providing way points with GPS Essential makes it easier to determine locations accurately. In the world of environmental health, mapping activities in the work area of the Bantul I Community Health Center are needed to produce mapping of the health status of homes and make it easier for sanitarians to take action. By having a map of the health status distribution of houses in Dukuh Sumuran, Palbapang Village, Kapanewon Bantul, Bantul Regency, it can make it easier for sanitarian employees to take further action regarding health problems in Dukuh Sumuran, Palbapang, Bantul, Bantul Regency. The aim and benefits of this remote sensing activity are to collect data about natural resources and their surroundings such as the distribution of healthy houses in Sumuran Hamlet which is obtained in relation to the type of clean water facilities, type of family latrines, waste water disposal facilities, waste management, the presence of larvae and history of diseases such as ISPA, dengue fever, diarrhea and other diseases. The method used in this activity is observation and interviews followed by analysis in the form of a spatial map with the ArcGis application and determining coordinate points with essential GPS. From this activity, it can be concluded that there are 81 healthy houses and 19 less healthy houses in the target area. There are houses that do not have sanitation facilities (latrine and SPAL) and several components of a healthy house do not meet the requirements.

Abstract

Hypoglycemia has a serious impact on the morbidity, mortality and quality of life of people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM). To prevent or reduce the risk of hypoglycemia, education is very important, including identification of hypoglycemia, detection of causes, prevention efforts and early treatment efforts at home. The use of mobile applications strongly supports independent health management because it is easily accessible, portable, low cost, convenient for users, and has a wide reach. This community service aims to optimize the use of the smartphone application “NEDTA” to improve the ability to identify hypoglycemia in people with diabetes mellitus in the Simpang Kawat Health Center area of Jambi City. The partners of this Community Partnership Program are the Head of Simpang Kawat Health Center, the Person in Charge of the Non-Communicable Disease Program (PTM) and 40 people with DM who meet the criteria. The methods used include socialization, competency improvement, implementation of activities, monitoring and evaluation. The results of community service revealed that more than half (58%) had diabetes for more than 10 years and most (74%) had experienced hypoglycemia. There was an increase in the ability to identify hypoglycemia after using the NEDTA smartphone application from 40% of high ability patients (pre test) to 75% (post test). The Head of the Community Health Center in charge of the non-communicable disease program at the Simpang Kawat Health Center is expected to continue mentoring activities in the use of the NEDTA application so that DM sufferers are independent in recognizing hypoglycemia, supporting the prevention and eradication of non-communicable diseases (P2PTM) such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension and other non-communicable diseases and support the PIS-PK Program.

Abstract

Infant Mortality Rate is one indicator that determines health status. Every year there are 3 million infant deaths in the world, 80% of which occur in the first 6 days of life, with pneumonia and diarrhea still being the main causes of death. Based on Nurita's research (2019) on postpartum mothers and newborns, which aims to determine the relationship between the frequency of giving colostrum and birth mode with the number of Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) colonies in the neonatal gastrointestinal tract. The results of the study found that the number of LAB colonies in babies born vaginally and C-Section was not much different, but the number of LAB colonies would increase in number if breast milk was often given. The education carried out targets an increase in the knowledge of educational participants with the outputs in the form of informative leaflets, educational video, educational X-Banners, activity reports and journal publications. Community service activities begin with licensing arrangements, time contracts, preparation of educational tools and materials, visits to Independent Midwives Practice (PMB, explanations of educational materials, discussions and questions-answers, showing educational videos, and handing over Educational X-Banners. It can be concluded that educational participants are still unfamiliar with lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and their role in the health of the baby's gastrointestinal tract, so further education is needed
