Abstract

This study analyzes the concept of nafaqah (maintenance) in Islamic family law as a fundamental instrument that reflects the maqasid al-shari‘ah orientation in preserving the continuity and stability of the family institution. Through a normative legal approach, this research examines the structure of maintenance obligations by exploring primary sources of the Sharia, including the Qur’an, hadith, classical fiqh, and modern regulations, and integrates them with conceptual findings from contemporary academic literature. The analysis shows that maintenance is positioned not merely as an individual obligation of the husband, but as a Sharia-based mechanism that carries a protective function for three essential objectives: the protection of life (hifz al-nafs), the protection of lineage (hifz al-nasl), and the protection of property (hifz al-mal). This study affirms that the obligation of maintenance is a direct manifestation of Islamic legal construction oriented toward public welfare (maslahah), and remains relevant as a legitimizing basis for positive legal norms that govern and enforce the distribution of economic responsibilities within the household. Thus, maintenance possesses strategic value as both a juridical and moral instrument in realizing a stable, just family structure that aligns holistically with the objectives of the Sharia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the model of Islamic education supervision, analyse the role of supervisors in integrating Islamic ethics and professionalism in education supervision, understand the implications of Islamic education supervision in the context of improving education quality, and compare it with previous relevant studies. The approach used is library research with data collection techniques in the form of documentation studies of books, accredited national and international journal articles, and relevant Islamic sources. The data were analysed using content analysis techniques through a process of data reduction, data presentation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that: 1) The Islamic education supervision model is understood as a coaching process that balances the assessment of educators' performance with the strengthening of moral, spiritual, and ethical aspects in accordance with Islamic values. 2) The relationship between Islamic ethics and professionalism is inseparable, because both form a unity that represents the ideal character of an educator. 3) The implication of this supervision model is an increase in the quality of Islamic education, marked by the growth of an educational environment that upholds knowledge, manners, sincerity, and exemplary behaviour. 4) This study positions Islamic education supervision as a conceptual and normative study that emphasises the holistic integration of Islamic ethics and professionalism. The conclusion of the study affirms that Islamic education supervision plays a strategic role in improving the quality of education through the formation of professional and ethical educators.

Abstract

With the Love-Based Curriculum already implemented at MAN Kota Banjarbaru, this research intends to examine how collaborative academic supervision could improve teachers' professionalism. A case study design was used in the research, which was qualitative in nature. Teachers, the administrator, and the VP of curriculum affairs participated in in-depth interviews and document analyses to compile the data. Triangulation of sources and techniques guaranteed data validity as we thematically analyzed the data utilizing an interactive analysis model that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drafting. Together, supervisors and instructors engaged in collaborative academic supervision, according to the results. This included open classroom observations, reflective conversations, and cooperative planning. These supervisory practices were associated with the strengthening of teacher professionalism, particularly in pedagogical competence, professional competence, and reflective teaching attitudes. Furthermore, collaborative supervision supported the implementation of the Love-Based Curriculum by guiding teachers to integrate values of empathy, humanism, and character education into classroom practices. This study concludes that collaborative supervision plays a strategic role as a professional development approach for teachers and as a key mechanism in supporting the implementation of value-based curricula in madrasahs.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the function of management actuating from the perspective of the Qur’an and its relevance to modern management theory. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method by analyzing management literature, Islamic management texts, Qur’anic verses, prophetic traditions, and relevant scholarly articles. The findings indicate that the actuating function in Islamic management emphasizes ethical and spiritual dimensions such as just leadership, effective communication, intrinsic motivation, responsibility, consultation (shura), and sincerity. Core values including tawhid, amanah, justice, and consultation serve as moral foundations in the implementation of actuating functions. Therefore, management actuating in the Qur’anic perspective integrates organizational effectiveness with moral and spiritual development, particularly within Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Islam is a religion revealed to humanity to convey teachings of humanity and justice for all people without distinction. Islamic teachings possess distinctive characteristics compared to previous religions, as they are universal, comprehensive, and capable of offering solutions to various social problems within society. Therefore, Islamic teachings need to be understood and implemented in a practical manner so that their values can be realized in everyday life. One of the fundamental aspects of Islamic teachings is morality, which etymologically derives from the Latin word mores, meaning habits or ways of life. Morality represents a set of values that regulate human behavior based on an understanding of what is considered good and bad. These moral values distinguish human beings from other creatures of God and place them in a noble position. Furthermore, the concept of humanity, according to the Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), includes basic human characteristics, feelings that prevent individuals from committing reprehensible acts, and values that are worthy of humans in general. Thus, Islam positions morality and humanity as essential foundations for building a just, dignified, and civilized social life.

Abstract

This article stems from a phenomenon in the field of education, where most educators and parents tend to overlook the psychological aspects of student learning. In fact, education should not only focus on intellectual and physical intelligence, but also on developing students’ psychological aspects to ensure optimal learning. This research focuses on analyzing and revealing the concepts of feelings and emotions in relation to learning, the concepts of feelings and emotions from the perspective of Islamic education, as well as their relevance to Islamic education learning. This study uses a qualitative research method with a library research approach. The findings of the study conclude several key points. First, the psychology of feelings and emotions plays a fundamental role in the learning process because both directly influence students’ motivation, attention, social interaction, academic success, and reallife performance. Second, the psychological concepts of feelings and emotions align with the concept of al-Nafs in Islamic educational psychology, referring to the soul's phenomena as a spiritual component of the human inner self. Third, the concepts of feelings and emotions are relevant to the learning process in Islamic education, which seeks to develop these two components to shape a holistic Muslim generation. Ultimately, educators need to place greater emphasis on these psychological components and foster their positive development through comprehensive teaching and guidance to achieve the goals of Islamic education.

Abstract

This article examines the crucial role of the Constitution, particularly the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUD NRI 1945), in ensuring the independence and accountability of state institutions amid the turbulence and dynamics of contemporary Indonesian politics. The amendments to the 1945 Constitution have produced a complex institutional architecture, marked by the emergence of independent state bodies such as the Constitutional Court, the Judicial Commission, and the Audit Board of Indonesia. Although, at the normative level, the Constitution provides a strong foundation for the separation of powers and the mechanism of checks and balances, political practices dominated by oligarchic interests and polarization have the potential to undermine this constitutional mandate. This study employs a normative-empirical approach by analyzing constitutional provisions related to institutional independence and accountability, as well as examining the empirical challenges faced in their implementation. The findings indicate that the strength of the Constitution as a “democratic safeguard” largely depends on political commitment and the moral integrity of state actors in interpreting and implementing its mandates. The Constitution functions dually as a source of legitimacy for institutional independence and as an instrument for enforcing accountability, thereby making it a decisive factor in shaping the quality of modern governance in Indonesia.

Abstract

Stunting remains a crucial challenge for human resource development in Indonesia, despite the massive implementation of various medical technocratic policies. The low effectiveness of nutritional interventions in the field is often triggered by sociocultural factors and a lack of profound parental awareness regarding children's developmental rights. This study aims to reconstruct the stunting prevention paradigm through an Islamic theological approach by internalizing Quranic values as a basis for parenting motivation. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study and thematic exegesis (tafsir) approach, this research proposes the concept of "Health Eschatology" based on Surah An-Nisa verse 9. The results indicate that preventing the birth of a weak generation (dzurriyyatan dhi’afan) is not merely a medical recommendation but a theological mandate with eschatological consequences before God. Furthermore, the application of "Nutritional Theology" through the optimization of lactation (QS. Al-Baqarah: 233) and the fulfillment of food that is not only halal but also thayyib (QS. Al-Baqarah: 168) provides technical guidance aligned with the concept of the First 1000 Days of Life. These findings emphasize that integrating spiritual values into public health policies can serve as a catalyst for more consistent parental behavioral change. This paradigm reconstruction is expected to transform stunting prevention motivation from mere administrative compliance into a social piety movement to realize a superior and high-quality generation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze kināyah as a rhetorical device in Arabic balāghah, particularly within ʿilm al-bayān, in order to explain its forms, functions, and applications in the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Arabic literature. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method using documentation techniques, with data sourced from clas-sical rhetorical works and primary religious texts. Data analysis is conducted by identifying kināyah expressions, examining their literal meanings, and interpreting their implied meanings based on contextu-al, linguistic, and theological perspectives. The results indicate that kināyah functions not only to beautify language but also to maintain politeness, convey sensitive meanings indirectly, and enrich semantic depth. Moreover, kināyah plays a strategic role in religious and liter-ary discourse by presenting ethical messages in a refined manner, demonstrating that it is an essential rhetorical element in effective Arabic communication.

Abstract

The Qur’an is the primary source of Islamic teachings and serves as a guide for life and a foundation for the formation of human character. Reading the Qur’an is not only an act of worship but also a means of moral development, spiritual education, and personal growth based on divine values. However, recitation that attains true excellence must be accompanied by the proper etiquette as explained by Islamic scholars. This study aims to analyze the virtues and etiquette of reading the Qur’an and the role of both in shaping Muslim character. The method employed is a literature review by examining 15 scholarly sources in the form of journals and undergraduate theses. The results indicate that the virtues of reading the Qur’an lie not merely in the act of recitation, but also in reflection, practice, and the observance of proper etiquette. Reading the Qur’an with proper etiquette is able to shape Muslim character that is knowledgeable, morally upright, and responsible toward Qur’anic values.
