Abstract

This study aims to describe the numeracy skills of eighth-grade junior high school students in solving AKM problems with algebra content, identify the factors that influence them, and develop effective learning strategies to improve them. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects of the study were eighth-grade students of Anugerah Gloria Terpadu Wamena Middle School in the 2024/2025 academic year. The main instrument in this study was the researcher herself, while the supporting instruments were test sheets and interview guidelines. This study used data collection techniques in the form of test techniques and interview techniques. The data analysis used three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the numeracy of eighth-grade students of Anugerah Gloria Terpadu Middle School is still categorized as low, due to the lack of explanation and reasoning of mathematical sentences in the problems. Therefore, improvements and development of mathematics learning are provided, such as the need to compile integrated learning materials between mathematical topics/concepts, everyday life, and other sciences to provide a relevant context for students. Because it coincides with curriculum adjustments to the development of the era. The curriculum in Indonesia will continue to change.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the meaning and educational values of the Rejang Lebong folk song "Sayang Api Coa Sayang" through an interpretive approach. This song not only represents aesthetic expression, but also conveys moral messages and character education, especially those related to environmental awareness, social responsibility, and the preservation of local culture. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that this song is rich in educational values such as love for the environment, respect for ancestors, social empathy, and cultural preservation. This song can be used as a medium for character education in the context of local wisdom-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the social literacy skills of fourth-grade students at SD 145/IV Salam Buku I, Batangmasumai District, Merangin Regency, which are still considered low. Students are not yet actively connecting science and natural sciences material to their surrounding social conditions and have difficulty understanding and critically analyzing social issues. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, implemented in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection instruments included teacher and student activity observation sheets, field notes, and documentation, which were analyzed descriptively using qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed that the implementation of the PBL model was effective in improving students' social literacy skills. In the first cycle, students' social literacy skills reached 68%, and increased to 85% in the second cycle, representing a 17% increase. In conclusion, Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is capable of improving students' social literacy skills in science and natural science learning. This model is recommended as an active and contextual learning strategy that encourages comprehensive student engagement in understanding social issues around them.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Profil Kebugaran Jasmani Pada Mahasiswa Penjas Universitas Veteran Bantara Sukoharjo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei test yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui Profil Kebugaran Jasmani pada Mahasiswa Penjas Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo. Teknik pengambilan sampel di penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik random atau sampel acak. Maka dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa laki-laki penjas yang berjumlah 20 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian dengan menggunakan Tes Kebugaran Jasmani Indonesia (TKJI) yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kebugaran mahasiswa penjas. Tes dilakukan terdiri dari : Lari 60 meter, gantung angkat tubuh baring duduk 60 detik, loncat tegak, lari 1200 meter. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah diuraikan, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa profil kebugaran jasmani Mahasiswa Penjas Universitas Veteran Bangun Nusantara Sukoharjo yang dapat diklasifikasikan Baik sekali ada 5% atau 5 mahasiswa, berkategori baik ada 5% atau 5 mahasiswa, berkategori sedang ada 5% atau 5 mahasiswa, berkategori kurang ada 5% atau 5 mahasiswa, dan berkategori kurang sekali 0% atau tidak ada.

Abstract

This research discusses the practice of religious moderation at SMPN 2 Ampek Nagari, a secondary school with Muslim students as the majority and non-Muslim students as the minority. The aim of the research is to describe social interactions between Muslim and non-Muslim students, analyze the role of teachers in instilling the value of religious moderation, and identify challenges that arise in the process. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The research results show that social interactions between Muslim and non-Muslim students are harmonious, characterized by cooperation in academic and non-academic activities without discrimination. Teachers play an important role as facilitators, role models and mediators in instilling tolerant attitudes through religious learning, citizenship education and other school activities. However, challenges were also found in the form of negative stereotypes brought from the family environment, as well as feelings of awkwardness in dealing with differences in religious practices. These findings confirm that schools function as laboratories for religious moderation, but their success requires support from parents and the community. Thus, the experience of SMPN 2 Ampek Nagari can become a model for implementing inclusive religious moderation for other secondary schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Human Capital on Business Performance and the moderating role of the External Environment in private banks in Jambi. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey as the main instrument. The research respondents were private bank employees selected based on the criteria of having worked for at least one year and being directly involved in operational activities related to achieving business performance. The collected data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), which allows for simultaneous testing of relationships between latent variables. The results show that human capital plays a significant role in improving bank business performance. Good human resource quality, reflected in employee competence, skills, motivation, and professionalism, contributes to increased operational efficiency, customer service quality, and bank competitiveness. This study also found that the external environment acts as a moderating variable that strengthens the relationship between human capital and business performance. When external conditions are supportive, such as economic stability, conducive banking regulations, and market competition that encourages innovation, the contribution of human capital to business performance becomes greater. This study emphasizes the importance of human resource management strategies that are integrated with the dynamics of the external environment. Practically, these findings provide direction for private bank management to not only focus on developing employee quality, but also be adaptive to changes in the business environment in order to achieve sustainable performance.

Abstract

This study reviews the evaluation of the accuracy of economic terms found in accounting reports based on Indonesian language rules. Financial reports play a crucial role as a means of conveying company financial information to various interested parties. Therefore, the choice of language that is clear, precise, and in accordance with the rules greatly affects the quality and readability of these reports. The method used in this study is qualitative with a literature review approach. Data sources were obtained from various relevant primary and secondary sources, including indexed scientific articles, research reports, and relevant textbooks. The findings show that language errors, such as the use of incorrect terms or inaccurate translations, can reduce the comprehensibility, credibility, and accuracy of financial reports. Conversely, the use of consistent, standard, and communicative language can increase transparency and trust among interested parties. Therefore, linguistic accuracy is an important element in maintaining the quality of accounting reports, as well as demonstrating the need for standardization of terms and ongoing training for financial report preparers.
