Abstract

Many people carry out ta'lim assembly activities in order to learn religious knowledge. One of the aims of the ta'lim assembly is to foster an attitude of concern for society. However, there are still many people who do not care about the surrounding environment, both those who actively participate in ta'lim assembly activities and those who are less active. Therefore, this service was carried out with the aim of fostering an attitude of social care for members of the Tanjung Barangan Ta'lim al-Akbar Council, Palembang City. The material in this service is carried out directly by providing direct understanding and also using qualitative descriptive methods to collect data obtained through observation, unstructured interviews and documentation. This service activity can be said to be successful in providing guidance to the management of the Ta'lim al-Akbar Council to have a caring attitude towards others, especially towards people in need. This service activity was successful because there were supporting factors such as: public awareness of good things; assistance and support from local authorities; and adequate facilities. However, there are also inhibiting factors, namely the lack of comprehensive information and miscommunication between congregations.

Abstract

Clock calibration refers to the process of adjusting or resetting a clock or time device to conform to a predetermined time standard. This is done to ensure that the watch or device shows the time accurately and in accordance with applicable standards. The clock calibration process involves resetting the clock in mosques in Rejang Lebong district. This community service aims to increase the accuracy of the mosque's "clock" time indication as a benchmark for the entry of prayer times or breaking the fast, because this community service activity is carried out in welcoming the holy month of Ramdhan 1445 H.  The methods used include socialization of the use of calibration hours to the community, technical training to mosque administrators, and accurate data collection from several strategic points. The results of the calibration of the clock in the mosques of Rejang Lebong regency from 161 data show a significant percentage of only 28% of mosque clocks that are accurate or in accordance with the national reference clock, 38% of mosque clocks that are 1 minute behind the national standard reference clock, 16% of mosque clocks that are 2 minutes behind the national standard reference clock, 5% 3 minutes late,  3% 4 minutes late from the national reference time.

Abstract

The phenomenon of motorbike riding among minors is increasingly widespread both in cities and villages. Many teenagers under the age of 17 pass by on motorbikes every day. The reasons for riding a motorbike vary, they are influenced by internal and external factors of the rider. Internal factors that influence the child include self-motivation to be able to ride a motorbike, while external factors are influenced by friends who can generally ride motorbikes, the relatively far distance from home to school, and parents who have given permission to them to ride motorbikes. Various policies have been implemented to tackle the problem of underage motorbike riders. Several ways to overcome this problem include enforcing laws related to driving regulations, providing mobility and accessibility for all citizens in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, giving an appeal to parents to always guide and supervise their children in terms of driving restrictions and provide knowledge about traffic signs and the dangers of driving a vehicle on the road to children.

Abstract

This service is carried out with the aim of providing motivation to village communities to utilize empty land owned by residents. This motivation and encouragement to the community is carried out so that they are able to explore their potential and have the courage to act to improve their quality of life by optimizing empty land for cultivating fish ponds and plants that are useful for the community. This service was carried out in Sukarame Gumay Talang Village, Lahat Regency. The method used is the extension method. By carrying out this service, the village community has been motivated to utilize the empty land they own.

Abstract

In community service activities in Karang Suraga Village and Bulakan Village, Cinangka Serang District, Banten, it can be observed that the Anyer area is an ecotourism area that is visited by many people, including foreign nationals. On the other hand, the knowledge of the community and village officials regarding the transfer of property rights to foreign citizens. This study will focus on discussing the transfer of property rights in the form of Nominees by Foreign Citizens. The method of community service activities is carried out by direct legal counseling to the community and village officials. This study was compiled based on the data obtained from these outreach activities and by using non-doctrinal legal study methods. This program was implemented on 29-30 March 2022. The results of this program concluded that the knowledge of village officials and the community was still very limited regarding legal issues. Although to overcome this problem, village officials have tried to find various solutions to legal problems in the community.

Abstract

This community service is to find out how to utilize technology in scientific publishing at the CV. Doki Course and Training institution. This community service activity is part of the implementation of Field Experience Practice carried out by Arabic Language and Literature Study Program Students, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, Raden Fatah State Islamic University, Palembang. The method used in community service activities uses role playing. The implementation process of this PPL is arranged based on the Work Program that already exists at CV. Doki Course and Training, namely the Scientific Publishing segment which includes the publication of Proceedings, Books and Journals. This program was implemented on August 1-31, 2024. The results of this program concluded that the use of technology in scientific publishing is a must in the current modern era. CV. Doki Course and Training as a publication institution has succeeded in utilizing sophisticated technology to publish scientific publications in the form of proceedings, periodic journal books. The emphasis on aspects of governance management and publication management is the key to the success of managing technology in scientific publishing.

Abstract

Community service activities through counseling about the importance of the role of parents in instilling noble morals in children aim to provide education and knowledge about the importance of noble morals in children as a provision for the young generation of Muslims in society in the future. This activity is in line with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education as part of the role of coaching the community. This activity is important to be carried out as part of the lecturer's obligation in carrying out the duties of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, as well as an effort to educate the public about the importance of the role of parents in instilling noble morals in children so that they can fortify the children of the Muslim generation from the entry of outside culture which results in the destruction of the morals of the Muslim generation. This service activity was carried out at the al-Maun Bengkulu Shelter. This service activity is carried out by counseling methods through lectures, direct question and answer interactions so that it makes it easier for mothers and children present to understand the material presented and can directly discuss questions and answers on various problems about morals. With the implementation of this service activity, parents become aware of the importance of the role of parents in instilling moral values in their children and the children become aware of various noble morals in Islam that must be possessed by them as candidates for the next generation in the future.

Abstract

This service aims to provide strong mental and spiritual preparation for the hajj officers. This is because both officers and pilgrims often experience stress, anxiety disorders and depression. This service is carried out using a counseling method. This service activity was carried out at the Palembang Hajj Dormitory with participants from the hajj officers of the South Sumatra Province. This service activity has been carried out well. The results show an increase in understanding and mental readiness of the participants, preventing hajj officers from stress, anxiety disorders and depression so that they are expected to be able to provide more effective services to the congregation and can motivate the congregation to carry out the hajj pilgrimage sincerely only because of Allah.

Abstract

The university has Tri Dharma, one of the pillars of which is community service. One of the Community Service activities is KKN, and the author conducted Thematic KKN in Tanjung Atap Village in Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra which focuses on community empowerment, students can explore local potential, educate the community, and design programs that are in accordance with the needs and characteristics of the village. KKNT activities are carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method which generally has a cycle of (1) observation, (2) reflection, (3) action planning, (4) to program or action implementation. The results of this KKNT activity are the implementation of various types of activities that are in accordance with the needs of the community, such as Socialization in Elementary Schools, Socialization of UMKM Development, Socialization of Posyandu, and Development of Superior Village Products (Branding Tikar Purun).

Abstract

Service to Msyarakat is one of the three mandatory duties of lecturers listed in the tri dharma of higher education, as an implementation of the results that have been learned and can be beneficial to the wider community. Part of the service activity is social service, education and motivation for children in the orphanage, this activity aims to provide benefits to the community in the orphanage. This community service activity was carried out at the Palembang City Divine Blessing Orphanage. Several arrangements of activities such as compensation, motivation to children, and giving a little game (ice breaking) to the children in the orphanage, the service activities carried out at the Divine Blessing Orphanage went well after a series of events, as evidenced by the enthusiasm of the children in participating in these activities. In addition, all related parties also took part in the success of this service activity, which was attended by lecturers and the management of the Indonesian Association of Sharia Scholars (HISSI) South Sumatra. With this togetherness, it can provide a little help to meet the needs for them and benefits for the orphanage, share happiness with our brothers and sisters in the orphanage and can strengthen the bond of friendship between others and create a sense of mutual care and love for fellow humans on earth.
