Abstract

Academic stress is a problem that arises when individuals experience learning pressure caused by academic demands. This academic stress condition is often experienced by students who have high academic demands, both from educational institutions and the surrounding environment. This research aims to measure the extent of academic stress experienced by students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University class of 2022. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive using a purposive sampling technique with the criteria of students experiencing academic stress. This research sampling involved 90 respondents from 14 different study programs. Based on the results of this research, it was found that the majority of respondents experienced moderate academic stress with a percentage of 68.9%, the remaining 17.8% experienced high levels of academic stress, and 13.3% experienced low levels of academic stress.

Abstract

Academic procrastination is procrastination behavior that is carried out deliberately without considering the priorities that must be worked on in the academic realm. The aim of this research is to analyze the research direction of the academic procrastination variable over the last 9 years. This research method uses content analysis with samples taken from articles published on the sciencedirect, researchgate and google scholar websites. The findings of this research show that academic procrastination has internal and external factors, and has an influence on personal and learning areas. The most widely used research method is quantitative correlational. It is hoped that academic procrastination research can contribute to future researchers who wish to research academic procrastination with more varied aspects and methods.

Abstract

This research constitutes a literature review that discusses the utilization of social media as a means of information service in guidance and counseling. In this review, various relevant literature sources are explored to understand the role and impact of social media usage in the context of guidance and counseling. The analysis encompasses the benefits obtained, challenges faced, as well as ethical implications to be considered regarding the utilization of social media in guidance and counseling practices. The findings of this review provide a deeper understanding of the potential of social media as an effective supplementary tool in providing information services in guidance and counseling, while still emphasizing the importance of ethical handling and understanding of its limitations and risks

Abstract

This study aims to get an overview of the socio-cultural adaptability of new students in South Sumatra. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. There is a lot of research on the socio-cultural adaptability of new students, but for South Sumatra it is still very limited. The instrument used by the researcher was an adaptation questionnaire consisting of 37 items. The results showed that 149 students described in general social adaptation ability in the college environment: (5%) students have social adaptation ability is at a high level, (85%) students have social adaptation ability is at a moderate level, and (9%) students have social adaptation ability is at a low level. These results illustrate the importance of overseas students developing adaptability, this new thing can increase their knowledge to get to know the social and cultural environment.

Abstract

Cyberbullying involves the use of digital technology to bully or harass someone. It commonly occurs on various online platforms, including chat rooms and gaming sites. Cyberbullying can be characterized by repetitive behavior and is often carried out with the deliberate intent of intimidating, belittling, or humiliating the victim. Unlike traditional bullying, cyberbullying leaves behind digital traces such as photos, images, or videos. Providing guidance and counseling services to students is a preventive measure that schools can take. The information service is one example of such a service. It facilitates understanding and prevention, thus helping students to comprehend themselves and stay up-to-date.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis teknik-teknik dari teori cognitive behavior therapy yang dipakai dalam pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling. Sehingga dapat menjadi panduan bagi guru BK/Konselor dalam melaksanakan baik konseling individual maupun bimbingan dan konseling kelompok menggunakan pendekatan cognitive behavior therapy dengan teknik-teknik CBT yang terbukti ampuh mengatasi berbagai permasalah siswa di sekolah. Metode penelitian ialah kajian pustaka dimana data di peroleh dari berbagai sumber referensi seperti artikel, buku-buku sumber, dan dokumen pendukung lainnya. Pemahaman yang baik akan pemanfaatan teknik-teknik CBT dalam konseling dapat menambah wawasan para guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam menguasai dan menerapkan teknik-teknik cognitive behavior therapy dalam praktek konseling.

Abstract

This article aims to provide in-depth information about the usefulness of cognitive behavior therapy counseling to increase student resilience. In providing services to students in the era of society 5.0, guidance and counseling teachers/counselors need to pay attention to the use and procedures for implementing services using certain approaches that have proven to be effective in overcoming KES-T so that they are able to develop students' KES. The usefulness of cognitive behavior therapy counseling in increasing student resilience will be discussed in this article. This research method is a literature review where data is obtained from various reference sources such as articles, source books and other supporting documents. The research results show that cognitive behavior therapy counseling can increase student resilience and bring many benefits in developing students' KES.

Abstract

This research is based on phenomena that occur in the field which show symptoms of prograstination in students. The aim of this research is to find out what is behind procrastination behavior. This research used a case study approach with the subject studied being one student with symptoms of prograstination. The data collection methods used were interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis uses content analysis and comparative analysis techniques. The results of the study showed that factors contributed to the client's procrastination behavior. First, clients experience frustration due to low learning outcomes, which then triggers negative emotions and interferes with focus in completing tasks. Second, the client develops a habit of avoiding tasks, even though he is aware that the task is important and must be completed immediately. Third, the client's academic procrastination behavior is relatively high, with consistent delays in starting and completing assignments. Lastly, the gap between plans and time indicates that the client does not have good time management skills, resulting in a lot of time being wasted. Overall, negative emotional factors, task avoidance, inability to manage time, and difficulty starting tasks are the main background for procrastination experienced by clients.

Abstract

Career information services play an important role in helping students understand and plan the right career path for their future, especially for teenagers who are in the transition to adulthood. This research aims to review the role of career information services in improving students' career planning. The method used is content analysis using the Krippendorff method by reviewing 20 national and international articles published in the last 10 years. Data taken from Google Scholar and Science Direct. The results of this study indicate that career information services have an important role in helping students plan their careers effectively. With the important role of career information services, counselors, guidance, and counseling teachers, and other educational practitioners are advised to continue to develop and provide these services to students.

Abstract

Keterampilan membaca dan hubungan interpersonal memainkan peranan yang cukup penting dalam proses pembelajaran di semua mata pelajaran, serta pengembangan sosial dan emosional siswa. Isi dari artikel mencakup proses pengukuran, perolehan, dan penyajian informasi yang penting mengenai keterampilan membaca siswa dan korelasi dengan kualitas hubungan interpersonal mereka. Metode yang dipakai mengarah pada jenis penelitian dekriptif-kuantitatif menggunakan pengisian instrumen melalui Google Form, dengan tujuan untuk mengukurketerampilan membaca dan hubungan interpersonal siswa di sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah pemahaman bagi para pendidik dan pengambil keputusan yang tepat dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dan mendukung perkembangan siswa secara keseluruhan.
