Abstract

The increasing demand for digital integration in vocational education requires innovative learning media that enhance engagement and achievement. This study aimed to develop a Flipping Book-based e-book as an interactive learning tool for the Basic Skin Care course in vocational high school settings. Utilizing a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, the study involved 60 tenth-grade students divided into experimental and control groups. Validation results by material and media experts showed high feasibility, with average validity scores of 0.924 and 0.935, respectively. Practicality testing also indicated excellent usability, with a practicality score of 93%. Effectiveness was tested through an independent sample t-test, revealing a significant improvement in the experimental group compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The N-Gain analysis showed a moderate learning improvement (0.61) for the experimental group and a low improvement (0.15) for the control group. These findings confirm that the Flipping Book-based e-book effectively enhances student learning outcomes in vocational education, particularly skill-oriented courses like Basic Skin Care. Future research is recommended to expand the application of similar interactive e-learning innovations across other vocational disciplines.

Abstract

Education in the digital era demands increased digital integration in the world of education. This requires innovative learning media that can increase student engagement and achievement. However, this condition also presents challenges and demands for educators to have the ability to integrate information technology interactively during the learning process, so that learning objectives can be achieved optimally. Therefore, learning media are needed that support the learning process both classically and independently. This study aims to develop a flipbook-based e-module as an interactive learning tool for the Makeup course in the Beauty Education Study Program, Semarang State University. This study uses the Research and Development R&D (Research and Development) approach with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation sheets, and tests. The validation results using the observation sheet showed an average score of 87.33%, while validation by material experts obtained an average score of 90.66%. Both results indicate that the developed e-module is valid and very feasible to use. The trial using the one group pretest-posttest model resulted in an average pretest score of 58.4% and an average posttest score of 86%. Meanwhile, the results of the student questionnaire showed that the use of the flipbook-based e-module obtained an average score of 77%, which is included in the very feasible category. Based on the results of the validation, trial, and student responses, it can be concluded that the developed flipbook-based e-module meets the criteria of being very valid and feasible to use as a supporting medium in a directed and effective learning process.

Abstract

This qualitative single-case study investigates an Indonesian EFL learner’s perceptions of vocabulary learning strategies, an important but often overlooked aspect of language learning. Despite vocabulary being the core of mastering a foreign language, learners' perceptions remain underexplored, particularly in qualitative research. This study aims to address that gap by examining a single participant’s use of and perceptions of vocabulary learning strategies. Data were collected through a 32-item Likert-scale questionnaire based on Schmitt’s (1997) taxonomy and semi-structured interviews guided by the Cognitive-Affective-Conative (CAC) perception model by Schiffman & Kanuk (2004). The findings revealed a contradictory perception: although the participant acknowledged the effectiveness and practicality of vocabulary learning strategies, she also expressed a belief that exposure to language is more critical than strategic vocabulary learning. The participant showed a clear preference for social strategies and incidental learning, which she found more enjoyable and versatile than memory strategies. Her cognitive, affective, and conative responses suggest that motivation in vocabulary learning are deeply influenced by strategy flexibility and learner autonomy. The study concludes that EFL learners should be introduced to various vocabulary learning strategies early in their education, and educators should design instruction that respects learners’ preferences. This research highlights the importance of the learner’s perspective as an input to the growing literature in the EFL learning context and recommends broader, multi-participant qualitative studies in the future.

These resuls demonstarate that he Knowledge Capture process using the SSM approach effectively advances mangrove ecosystem education as a cliamte change mitigation strategy. Quantitative validation employed questionnaires analyzed with a Likert scale to assess participants' knowledge and attitudes, confirming high instrument validity and reliability. These findings affirm the potential of hte Gadis Antariksa Icon, fostering environmental awarness through mangrove ecosystem education.

This research is a qualitative research with data collection methods using observation, interviews. The object of research at MI Nuril Huda Sumowono, Semarang Regency. The results of the study are that the development of social media use through gadgets is very significant, almost all upper-class students are able to use social media, but there is a lack of parental involvement in supervising children's gadget use. The impact of the development of social media use through gadgets is, Facilitating communication, Expanding friendship networks or getting new friends, Making it easier to find information, For learning access, Social media can be used as a means of entertainment when finishing homework or schoolwork, Social media can stimulate children to follow current technological developments, or so that children are not gaptek (technologically illiterate). The concept of teachers in preventing the negative impacts of social media use on students is as follows: a.) Teachers become role models imitated by students so that what is prohibited and recommended by teachers is carried out voluntarily because the teachers they imitate also do the same thing. Teachers must set a good example by following the development of the times in a healthy and reasonable manner even though it is related to the development of science and technology today. b.) Teachers provide motivation to students, as the duties and roles of a teacher, a teacher must provide motivation or advice that builds positive behavior or good morals and good achievements by following the development of the times in a healthy and reasonable manner even though it is related to the development of science and technology today.

Abstract

The existence of organizations is essential because human beings, as social creatures, cannot fulfill all of their needs individually. This study examines the fundamental concepts underlying organizations. Its primary objective is to identify and understand the key elements encompassed within the basic framework of organizational theory. Employing a qualitative methodology with a literature review approach, the research draws upon digital literacy sources and other relevant data pertinent to the topic. Through analyzing various scholarly references, particularly conceptual frameworks and the Qur'anic perspective on organizational principles, this study explores definitions, essential components, organizational management principles, structural elements, and the broader social role of organizations. The findings indicate that robust theoretical foundations support organizational theory and harmonize the spiritual values embedded in Islamic teachings. Findings from the literature also emphasize that an ideal organization is not solely built upon structural systems, procedures, and work efficiency, but also supported by rooted values of ethics, morality, and spirituality deeply.
