Abstract

Abstract: This project-based learning research aims to provide alternative problem-solving in the Biochemistry II course to improve students' scientific process abilities and learning outcomes in solving a problem. Quantitative data on student learning outcomes C4, C5, and C6 for protein synthesis material taught using the PjBL model. Quantitative data in the pretest and posttest found for the average, and then the increase from the pretest to the posttest is seen to conclude. Implementing the STEM-based Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can be carried out well at 74% in the implemented category. At the second meeting, the percentage was 85% in the implemented category. At the third meeting, the percentage was 93% in the immensely successful category. If averaged, the average percentage of implementation of the STEM-based learning project model is 84% in the implemented category. Implementing the STEM-based Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can improve students' learning outcomes and science process skills. Keywords: stem integration pjbl model, proses sains, and learning outcomes. Abstrak: Penelitian pembelajaran berbasis proyek ini bertujuan untuk memberikan alternatif penyelesaian pemasalahan pada matakuliah Biokimia II untuk meningkatkan kemampuan proses sains dan hasil belajar mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan.. Data kualitatif ini diambil dari video kegiatan mahasiswa dan waktu presentasi proyek. Data kuantitatif, yaitu data hasil belajar mahasiswa C4, C5 dan C6 untuk materi sintesis protein yang diajar dengan model PjBL.Data kuantitatif berupa pretest dan posttest dicari rata-ratanya kemudian dilihat peningkatannya dari pretest ke posttes untuk menarik kesimpulan. Pelaksanaan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis STEM dapat terlaksana dengan baik sebesar 74% dengan kategori terlaksana. Pada pertemuan ke dua jumlah persentasinya 85% dengan kategori terlaksana. Pada pertemuan ketiga jumlah persentasinya adalah 93% dengan kategori sangat terlaksana. Jika dirata-ratakan maka diperoleh rata-rata persentasi pelaksanaan model Projek besed learning berbasis STEM Sebebsar 84% dengan kategori terlaksana. Abstract

Abstract: The numeracy of 10th-grade students at SMAN 3 Slawi is still not optimal and needs improvement. This is because students are not accustomed to dealing with non-routine problems. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the STEM-based MURDER learning model assisted by Quizizz in improving students' numeracy. In this study, the proportion test of student completeness obtained a Sig. value of 0.004, indicating that the proportion of students class experimental exceeded the classical completeness, reaching 42%. In the test of average differences, a Sig. value of 0.004 was obtained, meaning that the numeracy ability of the experimental group was higher than control group. In terms of improvement, the N-Gain test resulted 0.28, which falls into the interval 〈g〉 < 0.3, indicating that the improvement in students' numeracy using the STEM-based MURDER learning model assisted by Quizizz is relatively low. Keywords: numeracy, STEM, MURDER, quizizz. Abstrak: Numerasi siswa kelas X SMAN 3 Slawi masih belum optimal dan perlu ditingkatkan, hal tersebut terjadi karena siswa tidak terbiasa dengan permasalahan berupa soal non-rutin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis STEM MURDER yang dibantu oleh Quizizz dalam meningkatkan numerasi siswa. Dalam penelitian ini, uji proporsi ketuntasan siswa diperoleh nilai Sig. 0,004 dengan demikian proporsi ketuntasan siswa yang dikenai pembelajaran MURDER berbasis STEM berbantuan Quizizz melampaui tuntas secara klasikal mencapai 42%. Pada uji perbedaan rata-rata diperoleh nilai Sig. 0,004 yang artinya kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas eksperimen lebih dari numerasi siswa kelas kontrol. Dalam peningkatannya dilakukan dengan uji N-Gain diperoleh N-Gain score sebesar 0,28 berada pada interval 〈g〉 < 0.3, bahwa peningkatan numerasi siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran MURDER berbasis STEM berbantuan Quizizz tergolong rendah.  Kata kunci: numerasi; MURDER; STEM; dan quizizz. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i4.pp922-931

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the readiness junior high school science teachers in planning, implementing, and assessing science learning for science subjects according to the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Research uses a qualitative method case study. Data collection used questionnaires, documentation and interviews. Research subjects were six science teachers. Data analysis refer Miles & Hubberman, namely; data collection, data condensation, data presentation (display), and data verification or conclusion drawing. Results showed everything was well prepared and in accordance with the Kurikulum Merdeka guidelines. The learning planning stage, science teachers review CP, make ATP and TP, make Teaching Modules, and compile assessments. The stage of implementing science learning according this Kurikulum Merdeka, it has an impact on students, where students are encouraged to be able contribute actively in the learning process. Addition, assessment stage, science learning is also in accordance with the Kurikulum Merdeka, namely by using congnitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments        Keywords: Kurikulum Merdeka, middle school, teacher readiness, science learning. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesiapan guru IPA SMP dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan asesmen pembelajaran IPA untuk mata pelajaran IPA sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian adalah enam orang guru IPA. Analisis data mengacu pada Miles & Hubberman, yaitu; pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data (display), dan verifikasi data atau penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semuanya telah dipersiapkan dengan baik dan sesuai dengan pedoman Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Tahap perencanaan pembelajaran, guru IPA mengkaji CP, membuat ATP dan TP, membuat Modul Ajar, dan menyusun penilaian. Tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPA sesuai Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar dan memberikan dampak pada siswa, dimana siswa didorong untuk dapat berkontribusi aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Abstract

Abstract: This research is a development research that aims to produce multimedia-based learning media that is valid, effective and practical. This research uses programming (AI) and is combined with the Lumen application. The development model of this research is: ADDIE development, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The subjects of this study were seventh semester students of environmental chemistry courses on air pollution material. There are three data collection techniques carried out in this study, namely validity, obtained through validation by validators; effectiveness, obtained through learning outcomes and student responses to learning media; practicality, obtained from assessment instruments by validators. The results showed that the average value of validity was 86.2%. The effectiveness of the media from student learning outcomes obtained an average of 86.3%. The practicality of the learning video was obtained from the questionnaire assessment of lecturers and students with an average practicality value of 89%. Keywords: learning video, artificial intelligence, addie model, lumen's app or phrase. Abstrak: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis multimedia yang valid, efektif dan praktis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pemrograman (AI) dan dikombinasikan dengan aplikasi Steve Model pengembangan penelitian ini yaitu : pengembangan ADDIE, yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester tujuh mata kuliah kimia lingkungan pada materi polusi udara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini ada tiga yaitu kevalidan, diperoleh melalui validasi oleh validator; keefektifan, diperoleh melalui hasil belajar dan respon mahasiswa terhadap media pembelajaran; kepraktisan, diperoleh dari instrumen penilaian oleh validator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kevalidan yaitu 86,2%. Keefektifan media dari hasil belajar mahasiswa memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 92,3%. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop project-based student worksheets with the help of Geogebra that meet the criteria of being valid, practical and effective for students in the mathematics education study program at Bung Hatta University. This research is development research that uses the ADDIE development model with the steps, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects involved 14 students in the 6th semester of the mathematics education study program. The instruments used in the research included validity questionnaires, practicality and effectiveness tests on student worksheets. Data analysis was carried out by calculating the average expert validation score and the average score of the student response questionnaire. Meanwhile, testing the instrument for testing the effectiveness of student worksheets was carried out using item analysis and internal consistency of test items. The results of data analysis show that the student worksheets developed are in the valid category with an average level of 82%, practical with an average of 81.25%, and effective with an average of 81%. Thus, it can be concluded that the project-based student worksheets assisted by Geogebra are in the valid, practical and effective category for use in the learning process by students. Keywords: Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa, Proyek, Geogebra Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis proyek dengan bantuan geogebra yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif untuk mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika di Universitas Bung Hatta. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE dengan langkah-langkah yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian melibatkan 14 mahasiswa semester 6 program studi pendidikan matematika. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian meliputi angket validitas, praktikalitas, dan tes efektivitas lembar kerja mahasiswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung rata-rata skor validasi ahli dan skor rata-rata angket respon mahasiswa. Sedangkan ujicoba instrument test efektivitas lembar kerja mahasiswa dilakukan dengan analisis butir dan konsistensi internal butir tes. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa lembar kerja mahasiswa yang dikembangkan memiliki kategori valid dengan tingkat rata-rata sebesar 82%, dikategorikan praktis dengan rata-rata sebesar 81,25%, dan efektif dengan rata-rata sebesar 81%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa lembar kerja mahasiswa berbasis proyek berbantuan geogebra berada pada kategori valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran oleh mahasiswa.  Kata kunci: lembar kerja mahasiswa, proyek, geogebra DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i3.pp699-709

Abstract

Academic resilience helps students overcome learning challenges and stay motivated in understanding complex biology materials. Computational thinking skills enable students to break down complex biology problems logically and structured, while the use of multirepresentations such as diagrams and graphs facilitates the understanding of abstract concepts. Biological literacy has a very important urgency for students because it plays a role in equipping them with the ability to understand, analyze, and apply biological concepts in everyday life. In the era of globalization and rapid development of science, biological literacy is an important basis for making intelligent decisions, especially related to environmental, health, and sustainability issues. The objective of this study is to investigate the influence of academic resilience on the biological literacy of students by means of computational thinking and multirepresentations. It is hypothesized that students' capacity to surmount intricate biology learning obstacles is enhanced by their high academic resilience. This study examines the correlation between academic resilience, computational thinking, multirepresentations, and biological literacy in high school pupils in Mataram City, Indonesia, utilizing quantitative methods and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The findings indicated that academic resilience has a substantial impact on the biological literacy of students (p < 0.05), both directly and through the mediation of computational thinking abilities and the use of multirepresentations. Computational thinking assists students in the deconstruction of intricate biological problems, while multirepresentations, such as diagrams and graphs, facilitate comprehension of abstract biological concepts. This study underscores the significance of fostering academic resilience, computational thinking, and visual representations in order to enhance students' biological literacy, thereby facilitating the development of more effective and adaptive biology learning strategies.      Keywords: academic resilience, biology literacy, computational thinking, multirepresentation, students.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe the basic science process skills of the students of SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City. The study used a dominant-less dominant design with purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted at SMP Class VIII with a population of all class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. The sample used was 18 students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City. The results of the research conducted showed that: (1) grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam City on average had basic science process skills at a moderate level in solving questions using a valid instrument, namely the Test of Basic Process Skill (BAPS) as many as 36 questions. science process skills (2) student achievement for each indicator, namely observation by 65%, communication by 61%, clarification by 58%, measurement by 27%, prediction by 32%, and inference by 57%. Keywords: science process skills, test of basic process skills (BAPS) Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa SMP Negeri 2 Pagaralam Kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain dominan-kurang dominan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Kelas VIII dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 18 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa: (1) siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kota Pagaralam rata-rata memiliki keterampilan proses sains dasar pada tingkat sedang dalam menyelesaikan soal dengan menggunakan instrumen yang valid yaitu Tes Keterampilan Proses Dasar (BAPS) sebanyak 36 pertanyaan. keterampilan proses sains (2) prestasi belajar siswa pada masing-masing indikator yaitu observasi sebesar 65%, komunikasi sebesar 61%, klarifikasi sebesar 58%, pengukuran sebesar 27%, prediksi sebesar 32%, dan inferensi sebesar 57%.  Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, tes keterampilan proses dasar (BAPS)DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i3.pp584-593

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted with the aim of seeing and describing the influence of the Canva-assisted Problem Based Learning Model on Understanding Physics Learning Concepts at SMAN 7 Bengkulu City. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling and class XI IPA 3 was chosen as the experimental class and class XI IPA 5 as the control class. The design in this research is Nonequivalent Control Groups Design. The research instrument used was a concept understanding test. The results obtained in this research indicate the influence of the Canva-assisted Problem Based Learning Model on Understanding Physics Learning Concepts at SMAN 7 Bengkulu City. The hypothesis test used in this research is the Mann Whitney Test on the basis of decision making if the Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) < 0.05 then the hypothesis is accepted. The magnitude of the influence of the problem based learning model assisted by Canva on the understanding of physics learning concepts at SMAN 7 Bengkulu City, calculated by calculating the effect size, obtained an influence of 3.12, meaning that the influence given is very high. Keywords: understanding concepts, problem based learning, effect size. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk melihat dan mendeskripsikan Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Canva Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Belajar Fisika Di SMAN 7 Kota Bengkulu. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Berbantuan Canva Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Belajar Fisika Di SMAN 7 Kota Bengkulu. Uji hipotesis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji Mann Whitney dengan dasar pengambilan keputusan jika nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) < 0,05 maka hipotesis diterima. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to develop and produce teaching materials. The teaching material in question is the Cartesian coordinates module for class VIII junior high school students. This Cartesian coordinate module is based on the 7e learning cycle model which meets valid and practical criteria. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 5 Bajawa with the test subjects being class VIII students as potential product users. This development research uses the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The assessment instrument in this research uses expert test assessment sheets with the aim of measuring the level of validity of teaching materials as well as student and teacher response questionnaires with the aim of measuring the level of practicality of the teaching materials being developed. The research results show that the average validity score for teaching materials is 4.3 with the criteria "Very Good". Meanwhile, the average practicality score is 4.7 with the criteria "Very Good". Thus, the teaching material in the form of a Cartesian coordinate module based on the 7e learning cycle model for Class VIII middle school students is said to be valid and practical. Keywords: development, modules, ADDIE, cartesian coordinates and learning cycle 7E Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menghasilkan bahan ajar. Bahan ajar yang dimaksud adalah Modul koordinat cartesius untuk Peserta didik SMP kelas VIII. Modul koordinat cartesius ini berbasis model learning cycle 7e yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 5 Bajawa dengan subjek uji cobanya adalah peserta didik kelas VIII sebagai calon pengguna produk. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunkan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yakni Analysis, Design, Development, Implementasi dan Evaluation. Instrumen penilaian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar penilaian uji ahli dengan tujuan untuk mengukur tingkat kevalidan bahan ajar serta angket respon siswa dan guru dengan tujuan untuk mengukur tingkat kepraktisan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata skor kevalidan bahan ajar adalah 4,3 dengan kriteia “Sangat Baik ”. Sedangkan rata-rata skor kepraktisan adalah 4,7 dengan kriteria “ Sangat Baik” . Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning based on concreteness fading and multi-representation on prospective teacher students' understanding of geometric optics concepts. The research sample consisted of 40 prospective physics teacher students, selected using the total sampling technique, with 20 students in each experimental and control group. The experimental group received learning with concreteness fading and multi-representation approaches, while the control group received conventional learning. The research instrument was a concept understanding test in the form of descriptions, which was tested for content validity and reliability using the inter-rater reliability method, yielding a Cohen's Kappa coefficient of 0.68. Data analysis techniques included independent samples t-test, ANCOVA, and N-gain. The results of the independent samples t-test showed that, in the posttest, there was a significant difference (p = 0.008 < 0.05) with the average score of the experimental group (M = 21.55) being higher than that of the control group (M = 19.10). ANCOVA test results showed that learning with concreteness fading-multi representation significantly affected students' concept understanding after controlling for the pretest score (p = 0.009 < 0.05). Additionally, the N-Gain test results indicated increased concept understanding in the experimental class (0.75, high category) and the control class (0.56, medium category). Initially, many students struggled and relied solely on one form of representation to explain geometric optics problems. However, after learning, they began to utilize various interrelated representations, including diagrams, texts, and mathematical equations. The findings in this study confirm that learning with concreteness fading and multi-representation approaches is effective in improving understanding of geometric optics concepts.      Keywords: conceptual understanding, concreteness fading, geometric optics, multi-representation, physics learning.
