Abstract

This study aims to explore using religious language to socialize the COVID-19 vaccination in new media. This study is qualitative research. The source of data in this study is the official online platform of the Komite Penanganan COVID-19 Republic of Indonesia's, namely websites and social media. The data collected is related to the use of religious language in socializing the COVID-19 vaccination. Data collection is carried out through observation of the official online platform. The data obtained were then analyzed by means of an interactive qualitative analysis model of Miles and Huberman: data collection, data display, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. There are three findings in this study. First, religious terms and language used in the socialization of COVID-19 vaccination have a pattern based on the dynamics of socio-cultural reality and vaccination achievements. Second, the terms and religious language used to relate to the legitimacy of the permissibility and halalness of vaccines. This tendency aims to convince the public of the vaccination program. Third, religious figures, institutions, and facilities are used as tools to legitimize socialization messages. Departing from these findings, it can be concluded that religion is not only related to the dimension of spirituality but also consumed and commodified with a specific purpose. In the context of this study, the consumption and commodification of religion were carried out by the Komite Penanganan COVID-19 in the socialization of vaccination using religious terms, narratives, and language as legitimacy tools to convince the public about the importance of vaccination.

Abstract

This paper aims to present the urgency of the reinterpretation of female figures narrated in the Qur'an. The debates that emerged in the contemporary era became social claims which had implications for grouping groups based on social perceptions obtained from the time. This paper then tries to collect things related to Barbara F. Stowasser to answer her thoughts on women's work. The method used in this paper is a qualitative method with a library research approach. Therefore the data in this paper is sourced from the literature documentation. The results of this tracking prove that, although the debate regarding the story in the Qur'an has yet to be completed to date, it still provides relevance to the social construction that one wants to build on the status of women in society.

Abstract

The rapid development of education is a sign that educational institutions must be quick and responsive in responding to this reality. In vocational schools, schools must be required to always produce graduates who are always needed by the industrial world. However, an education system that focuses solely on the demands of work backfires. One of the impacts that arise if only focusing on the demands of the industry will cause decadence, for example in aspects of personality, religious and cultural insights and partial emotional intelligence. Therefore, it is necessary to intervene in one of them in the form of integration-interconnection of Education. This study aims to examine the implementation of integration-interconnection of education in Islamic boarding school based at Diponegoro Vocational High School, Yogyakarta. This research is a field research with descriptive-qualitative type. The approach used in this study is using random cluster technique through observation, interview and literature review. The results showed that there are efforts made by schools in realizing the integration-interconnection of Education. The effort is through three elements, namely Religion, Science and education. However, there are still some obstacles in its implementation, such as learning approach factors, curriculum change factors and factors of competence of teachers. However, the result of the combination of these three elements is expected to contribute in the form of superior values, skilled, religious, independent and akhlaqul karimah.

Abstract

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced banks to participate in increasing their capacity to accommodate consumers and producers so that there are no prolonged shocks. Sharia rural bank is a type of community bank that can directly contribute to the village level. For this reason, this study aims to analyze the effect of market power on the potential bankruptcy for banking before and after the COVID-19 pandemic by involving banking indicators. The data used in this study is a panel of 113 sharia rural banks throughout Indonesia during 2013-2021. The results show that market forces have a positive effect on banking stability. Meanwhile, equities and economic growth are alleged to be part of the decline in bank risk. When COVID-19 hit, banks found a prolonged crowding out effect due to the absence of financing absorption by consumers. So that it has the opportunity to increase financing for banks that are above the profitability standard.

Abstract

Despite the fact that there have been numerous studies into moral values in language textbooks, only a small amount of literature reports the representation of peace or even Islamic values in English for foreign language (EFL) textbooks. As a result, any textbook used by the teacher must contain the essential Islamic and peace values needed to develop students' excellent character. This research is an attempt to carefully examine how Islamic and peace values are portrayed in English Language Teaching (ELT) textbooks for Indonesian junior high school students. Roland Barthes' (1977) semiotic framework and critical discourse analysis Fairclough (2009) (CDA) were chosen as the method for elaborating on Islamic and peace values found in the English textbook as well as the manner in which they are expressed. Findings from Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) show that the representation of Islamic and peace values such as tolerance, respect, and appreciation for others is distorted. It is hoped that this research will encourage teachers and students to actively participate as intermediaries for the application of values in EFL textbooks. Keywords: Critical Discourse Analysis, ELT textbook, Islamic and Peace Values.

Abstract

Poverty alleviation is one of the highlights of the Baznas movement as a zakat management center in Indonesia. This highlight is realized in the determination of the poor mustahiq carried out by Baznas. This is where it becomes important to have a comprehensive assessment of the determination of the poor mustahiq. This research is a library research using a normative-philosophical approach. The use of the Maqasid Shariah theory of Jasser Auda in this study is used as a philosophical perspective for analyzing the Decision of Baznas’s Chairman Number 33 of 2019. The results indicate that through the Decision of Baznas’s Chairman Number 33 of 2019, the determination of the poor mustahiq is carried out by involving the Integrated Data Social Welfare belonging to the Ministry of Social Affairs as an instrument in the analysis of “had kifayah” by Baznas. This determination is intended to explore the greater benefit in the distribution of zakat. The theoretical perspective of the systems approach from Maqasid Shariah Jasser Auda in analyzing the Decision of the Chairman of Baznas Number 33 of 2019 is the determination of the poor mustahiq to be an element that will always be dynamic and in harmony with the aim of providing more benefits of zakat distribution than before.

This study was carried out with a survey of Culinary MSME Owners with Islamic Religious Identity in Indonesia who have gone through a halal assessment process from the MUI or BPJPH of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, and the data results were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that halal literacy is a driving factor for Islamic knowledge, attitudes, and spirituality in the commitment of Indonesian Culinary MSME owners to standard halal practices in the production chain. This study forms three implications for Indonesian Culinary MSME owners, the Government, and Academics.
