Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of using the Small Group Discussion method using card learning media in improving Javanese script writing skills in class V Cluster 2 Ahmad Yani. This research is an experiment using a Quasi Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group design involving an experimental group and a control group. Data collection methods used include interviews, observation, documentation, and tests. The validity test is carried out using tests that refer to indicators, and instruments that have been validated by experts will be tested in the instrument trial group. Data analysis was performed using parametric statistical tests T-test with independent sample t-test to compare the averages of two unpaired samples. The results showed that the use of card learning media using the Small Group Discussion method was effective in improving the writing skills of Javanese script in class V Cluster 2 Ahmad Yani. It is proven that the use of cards as a shared learning medium with the Small Group Discussion method resulted in an increase of 1.29% in the experimental group, while the control group using conventional methods experienced an increase of 1.18%. Based on this explanation, it can be concluded that the use of card learning media with the Small Group Discussion method is effective in improving the writing skills of Javanese script in class V Cluster 2 Ahmad Yani students.

Abstract

This research is intended to understand the analysis of students' learning styles towards understanding mathematics learning. This research was motivated by students' difficulties in solving mathematics problems, especially in KPK and FPB material. This difficulty is experienced by students when determining the correct KPK and FPB calculation operations, as well as difficulties in operating factor trees. The method used is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques include observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, grade 5 students at SD N Sambirejo for the 2023/2024 academic year show a variety of learning styles, but the learning style generally applied by teachers is more dominant in the auditory aspect. This trend has an impact on the absorption capacity of diverse students. Students with a visual learning style have good learning absorption, students with an auditory learning style have superior absorption and students with a kinesthetic learning style have mixed and unstable absorption.

Abstract

. This study aims to (1) analyze the efforts made by MI Kalipucang Kulon in increasing parental trust through the management and achievement of student academic achievement, (2) identify MI Kalipucang Kulon's strategies in increasing parental trust through the management and achievement of student non-academic achievement, and (3) reveal the obstacles faced by MI Kalipucang Kulon in increasing parental trust and providing relevant solutions to overcome these obstacles. The study was conducted at MI Kalipucang Kulon using a qualitative phenomenological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that academic activities such as remedial and academic competitions, as well as non-academic activities such as drum bands, had a significant effect on parental trust. Obstacles such as miscommunication were overcome with effective communication and transparency. It was concluded that academic and non-academic activities play an important role in building parental trust. These findings provide a basis for developing strategies to increase parental trust in madrasahs.

Abstract

This study reviews research on the influence of parents' socioeconomic background on student learning achievement using the systematic literature review (SLR) method. The population includes all articles discussing this topic, published in indexed journals between 2015 and 2025. Articles were selected using the keywords "Socio-Economic" and "Learning Achievement" through Publish or Perish software. From 100 articles, 16 were chosen based on inclusion and exclusion criteria for further analysis. Data collection involved gathering literature from journals in the Google Scholar database. This review highlights how parents' socioeconomic background impacts students' learning achievement in elementary school, not only through the ability to provide learning facilities but also by influencing motivation, parental attention, and the quality of the educational environment. The findings can guide policymakers and educators in designing effective interventions, such as improving teaching quality, providing learning facilities, and encouraging comprehensive parental involvement. A holistic approach that considers economic, social, and psychological aspects can improve student learning outcomes and reduce educational gaps.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how big the relationship between the Pancasila Student Profile and student learning outcomes at SD Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta. This research is a correlational quantitative research. The data source for this research was students of class II and III of SD Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta. The sampling technique was carried out by means of random sampling. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires and cognitive test questions. Validity test using content validity test and reliability test with SPSS 24.0. Data analysis consisted of analysis prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing. The analysis prerequisite test consists of a normality test and a linearity test, while the hypothesis test uses a product moment correlation test, and multiple correlation tests. The results of this study are as follows: The results of the independent learning questionnaire amounted to 27 trials carried out by 32 respondents, the validity results obtained were 2 invalid residual questions. In the class 2 cognitive test instrument, there were 15 questions, then a trial was carried out by 32 respondents, the validity results were 10 questions, 5 residual questions were invalid. In the class 3 cognitive test instrument, there were 15 questions, then a trial was carried out by 32 respondents, the validity results obtained were 3 residual questions that were not valid. The results of the study with the product correlation test obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 that the X1 variable, namely learning independence, had a convincing influence on the Y variable, namely student learning outcomes. results. Based on the data above, there is also an interpretation of the product moment correlation of 0.725 which is included in the category of strong relationship level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the self-regulated learning (SRL) capabilities of elementary school students. Involving 317 students from grades 4, 5, and 6 in Sukoharjo, a questionnaire instrument was developed to measure metacognition, motivation, and learning behavior. The results showed that 43% of students were in the good category, 14% very good, 25% sufficient, and 18% poor. Learning motivation emerged as the strongest factor, with an achievement level of 85%. This research provides insights for educators to facilitate the development of students' SRL.

Abstract

This research examines the management of school relations with the community at SDN Kartodipuran. The focus of this research is to find out the type of school relations with the community. The purpose of this study is to describe the management of school relations with the community and the functions of planning, implementation and evaluation in management at SDN Kartodipuran. This research approach is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data source in this research is the principal. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the types of school and community relations management in an effort to improve the quality of education at SDN Kartodipuran include educational relations, namely with the school committee and institutional relations, namely with the Jayengan Health Center, PLA Surakarta, the police, and the business world. In addition, the management of school and community relations at SDN Kartodipuran also carries out the functions of planning, implementation and evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the impact of socioeconomic status on students' learning outcomes and explore factors that can mitigate academic disparities resulting from economic differences. The research method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), analysing 20 journal articles selected based on inclusion criteria such as topic relevance, publication year (2014–2024), and clearly defined research methods. Data were gathered through Google Scholar using Publish or Perish (PoP) and subsequently screened with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) diagram to ensure validity. Data analysis was carried out using a thematic approach to identify patterns and trends in relevant research. The findings reveal that students from higher socioeconomic backgrounds have greater access to educational facilities, while those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds often face resource constraints and limited parental academic support. However, learning motivation, a supportive school environment, and adaptive teaching strategies can help bridge academic disparities. The study concludes that more inclusive educational policies are essential, such as scholarship provision, improvements in school quality, and parental education programmes. This study recommends developing targeted support programmes for students from disadvantaged backgrounds to foster equitable learning opportunities.

Abstract

This riset aims to determine whether there is a positive effect of learning discipline on the cognitive learning outcomes of mathematics for fifth grade students of public elementary schools in Laweyan sub-district. The quantitative methodologies used in this study are survey-type with an associatie research design. Students in fifth grade from elementary school in Laweyan Subdistrict made up the entire study’s population in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research sample was fifth grade students at SD N Pajang IV, SD N Tunggulsari 01, SD N Bratan 02 with a total of 71 students. Tests and questionnaires have been used as the data collection methods. Simple linear regression was used to examine the research data. As shown by the acquisition of   (19.509) >  in the regression equation = 6.078 + 0.869X, the reset’s findings show that learning discipline has a positive and significant impact on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students in public elementary schools in Laweyan District in the 2022/2023 academic year. According to the analysis of R squared coefficient f determination (0,847), 84,7% of fifth grade children in the public elementary schools in the Laweyan District showed improved math learning outcomes as a result of learning discipline.

Abstract

Character education is a fundamental aspect in shaping students' personalities and morals, encompassing not only cognitive domains but also affective and psychomotor aspects. Amid the challenges of globalization and rapid technological advancement, character education has become increasingly important in fostering a generation with integrity, responsibility, and strong human values. In this context, teachers play a highly strategic role as role models, facilitators, and motivators in instilling moral and ethical values in students. This research is conducted using a literature review approach to explore in depth how teachers contribute to building a foundation for character education through teaching methods, interpersonal approaches, and daily exemplary behavior. The findings indicate that teachers' contributions to the character education process are highly significant and should become a primary focus in the field of education, particularly in creating a learning environment that holistically supports students’ character development.Kata kunci: Character Education, Teacher's Role, Educational Foundation
