Abstract

Public health problems, especially in child development, are faced by many regions in Indonesia, including the province of West Nusa Tenggara. In recent years, a high rate of stunting has been identified in children. The Healthy Village Program is designed as part of student community service activities (KKN) as an effort to educate the public to minimize stunting rates in Pene village, Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency. Program implementation is carried out through 2 types of approaches, namely counseling activities, and training or performance (demonstration). Counseling provided to the community includes counseling on stunting, early marriage and a clean and healthy lifestyle. While for training activities, namely training in making complementary food for ASI and performance in making a family medicinal plant garden (TOGA) and several other related activities. The activities that have been carried out have succeeded in encouraging the Pene village community to pay more attention to the growth and development of their children as an effort to prevent stunting, promote a clean and healthy lifestyle for the village community, and make young people aware of the potential problems that can arise as a result of early marriage. In addition, the family medicinal plant garden is used as an educational medium for school students and villagers in optimizing the use of residents' yards. The healthy village program which was carried out in this real work class has had a positive impact on the community, and supported the social program launched by the Pene village government.

Abstract

Penimbung Village is one of the galangal producing villages in Gunungsari District. West Lombok Regency. Galangal or galangal is a type of spice that is often used in Indonesian food. The problems faced by galangal farmers in Penimbung Village are the low selling price of galangal, the lack of innovation in galangal processing and the rapid decline in harvest quality caused by pests resulting in blackened and dried (damaged) galangal. Based on the potential and existing problems, new innovations are needed in galangal processing which can increase the price and durability of galangal by processing galangal into powdered galangal which has a long shelf life. The galangal powder produced consists of two variants, namely fine galangal powder and coarse powdered galangal. The resulting galangal is packaged using a standing pouch so that it is easier to store, hygienic and more practical to use. In addition, packaging also serves to increase the economic value of the product. The study results of galangal contain terpenoid compounds such as galanoklaton, 16-dial, 12-labdiene-1510.25 Galanoklaton, 16-dial, 12-labdiene-15 which is classified as a diterpene and 1.8 cineol which is a monoterpene group. These compounds function to give a distinctive aroma to dishes and eliminate fishy odors in several types of dishes. Galangal is a medicinal plant that contains antimicrobial diterpenes and eugenol which can kill fungi and stop their growth. Traditionally, galangal rhizome is used as a medicine for skin diseases caused by fungi, such as ringworm, scabs, boils, and others. This innovation is expected to be a solution to the problems faced by galangal farmers in Penimbung Village.

Abstract

Tourism is a recreational activity carried out with the intention of breaking away from the daily routine for a while. The tourist village is a combination of natural attractions, culture and creativity of the local community, supported by facilities that can attract tourists to visit the place. Prabu Village is one of the tourist destinations in Pujut District, Central Lombok. Even though it has advantages in natural beauty, unfortunately Prabu Village is still lacking in management and public awareness of the importance of existing tourism potential. Therefore, Unram Thematic KKN participants carried out community service in Prabu village with the theme 'Tourism and the Environment'. The purpose of this service is to introduce the tourism potentials in Prabu Village to the wider community. One of the programs carried out was by making a promotional video for Prabu Village which explained all the potential that the village had. Videos that have been made are then published on various social media (Youtube, Instagram, etc.), websites, and video platforms. With an effective promotional video, Prabu Tourism Village is expected to become an attractive tourist destination for both local and international tourists.

Abstract

Cultural tourism or "cultural tourism" in Maringkik as one of the strategies to reduce regional and economic development inequality, where this tourism is managed by community groups that collaborate with the government, as well as institutions outside the government. Community-based social tourism can be a tool for nature conservation and reducing cultural assimilation. This research is an activity that focuses on examining and analyzing the traditions and culture of the Maringkik people from the perspective of community tourism development. This problem is studied with the aim of increasing the knowledge of the Maringkik community regarding the management of tourism potential and its contribution to the development of new knowledge on alternative forms of tourism. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative using a participant approach, where data collection uses surveys and qualitative methods. The survey was conducted by means of interviews with the community and village structures of Maringkik Island using the old method. The data is tabulated and processed then described. To evaluate the characteristics of “cultural tourism”, a survey is designed for tourism facility providers that will be formed by the community and providers. A survey was also conducted to determine the population and economic level of the community. With surveys and qualitative studies, data related to the potential for traditional and cultural tourism owned by the Maringkik people can be mapped quite comprehensively. The results of this study are that the tourism potential in Maringkik is related to two things, firstly discovering the traditions and culture of the local community, secondly, the tourism potential in Maringkik cannot be separated from the beach and the gills.

Abstract

Pusuk Lestari Village is one of the villages in Batu Layar District, West Lombok Regency. The majority of Pusuk Lestari Village residents work as traders and farmers. After conducting a survey, residents in Pusuk Lestari Village have abundant natural resources but a lack of processing skills is a problem in the village. It can be said that the people in the village are not able to take advantage of the abundant natural products, so it is necessary to take innovative steps that can be applied to optimize the community's skills in processing these natural resources through the KKN program with the Desapreneur theme. The Desapreneur theme is raised to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in optimally processing natural resources. One of the programs this time is by utilizing melinjo and palm sugar as raw materials for making dodol which will later provide benefits by increasing the income of the people of Pusuk Lestari Village. The stages of the Dodol Melinjo Aren Making Training are preparation of tools and materials, outreach, training, packaging, marketing, and evaluation. The results of the implementation of this training activity are increasing the knowledge and skills of the community so that they are able to continue the Dodol Making Training program. Several additional programs were also carried out, namely making tourist maps, teaching at school and teaching the Koran, clean village activities (PABERSA), and English courses.

Abstract

Sedau Village is one of the villages in the Narmada sub-district, West Lombok district, West Nusa Tenggara province. Most of the people in Sedau Village are more interested in growing fruits, some other residents are planting medicinal plants. Citronella plants are cultivated by some residents of Sedau Village in small quantities, so they have not been able to provide economic benefits for the local community. In addition, there is also no community in Sedau Village who can process citronella plants into essential oil which can increase the selling price of the citronella. The purpose of this series of socialization and training activities by the Unram Thematic KKN team is to increase people's understanding and creativity about medicinal plant demonstration plots, how to cultivate several medicinal plants in the demonstration plot, especially citronella and post-harvest processing methods of citronella into essential oils , so as to increase the selling price of the fragrant citronella. The method used in this activity is the socialization method, participative through training and learning. While the technique used in distillation is the steam distillation process to obtain essential oils. Citronella oil is usually light yellow to dark yellow in color, and is volatile. Essential oil itself is an oil produced by plants. The resulting aroma is fragrant according to the producing plant, generally insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. The citronella oil distillation process consumes around 15-20 kilograms of raw materials with a distillation time of approximately 3 hours. From the distillation of citronella, 125 ml of essential oil was obtained.

Abstract

Community Service Program (KKN) has become part of educational activities as well as community service. The importance of this activity is to become a life lesson in the midst of the community in helping solve the problems faced by the community. Selat Village, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency has abundant potential for plants in the form of taro. The main problem in community service is the lack of potential agricultural products. When taro tubers are abundant, the market doesn't absorb the yield, so this taro has no selling value. This potential can be utilized by the community to increase the added value and selling value of these crops. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out training activities for processing taro tubers into products that are useful and have economic value so that they can increase the income of the people of Selat Village. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge to residents who participate in training activities so that they are able to produce or process taro tubers into taro chips that are in demand by consumers and are able to apply marketing in selling products. Service Implementation Method, carried out by counseling, demonstration and practice methods. The result of community service with the entrepreneurship outreach program and training in making taro chips in Selat Village is an increase in taro processing skills and it is hoped that the community will be able to open MSME businesses so that they can improve the community's economy.

Abstract

Sea fish is one of the problems in the utilization of natural resource commodities in Selengen Village. In addition, the limited knowledge and skills of the community to innovate in fish processing, especially Layang fish, which is useful for improving the people's economy in Selengen Village. Processed fish will be made into a food product that can attract public interest. The overall form of activity includes: Socialization and training on the production of shredded fish from the type of Layang fish, Production of shredded Layang fish, Marketing of the shredded Layang fish production to the market. The Layang shredded fish production activity is a continuation of the program mentioned above. This program is carried out for the utilization of Layang fish to be processed into shredded Layang fish. It is hoped that by carrying out this marketing, PKK mothers can re-practice the results of the training that has been taught and prepare for independence to produce shredded fish on their own to add to the economy. It is hoped that in the future the women in Selegen village will know better how to make shredded meat with the right dosage, various flavors and attractive packaging. Because in Selengen village there are no MSMEs yet, it is suggested that the village can revive BUMDES and form MSMEs so that the potential in the village can be disseminated and can help the community's economy.

Abstract

Community Service Activities (KKN) are a form of community service carried out by students, in the context of implementing higher education's three dharma. Garbage is a crucial problem, even including a cultural problem because the impact it creates will disrupt all aspects of life. The principle of zero waste (free waste) in general is an integrated waste management system with the zero waste concept applying the 3R principles (reduce, reuse, recycle), 4R or 5R. The phenomenon of waste in the Selong sub-district has become an urgent problem and the most appropriate solution must be found to overcome it. This activity aims to help the community understand the procedures for managing waste and developing the concept of zero waste in Selong Village. The Community Service Program (KKN) will be held from 20 December 2022 to 10 February 2023, which is located in Selong Village, Selong District, East Lombok Regency. The stages of activities carried out in the implementation of KKN are as follows; Field Survey, Socialization of Waste Management & Zero Waste Lifestyle Concept, Compost Making Training, Craft & Ecobrick Making Training, Activity Evaluation. Waste management socialization and training activities with the concept of zero waste lifestyle in Selong Sub-District are carried out starting from the first week to the last week of January with a series of activities, namely socialization, training on making compost, training on making handicrafts. The socialization activity aims to provide an understanding of waste management procedures, especially organic and inorganic waste and its utilization into new products that have economic value.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional disorder that affects the growth and development of children. Stunting is still a problem that needs to be addressed in Sembalun Lawang Village. Prevention of stunting needs to be implemented to reduce the incidence of stunting in Sembalun Lawang Village. Stunting can be prevented through good nutrition for pregnant women and children in their toddler years. Pudding 4 stars is a form of processed healthy food that can meet nutritional intake for pregnant women and toddlers. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge of mothers and expectant mothers regarding stunting, balanced nutrition, and healthy food processing. The method of implementing the activity is by conducting counseling related to stunting and balanced nutrition as well as demonstrations of making healthy food. The results of this activity increase the knowledge of mothers and prospective mothers regarding the dangers of stunting and how to prevent it, namely through the provision of good nutrition. Through this activity it is expected to be able to reduce the incidence of stunting in Sembalun Lawang Village.
