Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas penerapan teori polya untuk menyelesaikan soal luas bangun datar terkait kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan soal tes. Soal tes berupa uraian berjumlah 5 soal. Soal tes dimaksudkan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan matematis siswa dengan menerapkan teori Polya. Dalam analisis data teknik yang digunakan adalah one sample t test dengan tujuan untuk menentukan apakah suatu nilai tertentu berbeda secara signifikan dengan rata-rata (mean) sampel yaitu hasil tes siswa. Nilai standar yang diberikan adalah nilai KKTP yaitu 75. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal luas bangun datar dengan menerapkan teori Polya sama dengan nilai KKTP 75. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan teori Polya dalam menyelesaikan soal luas bangun datar efektif terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas 5 SD Negeri 5 Ngembalrejo karena dapat mencapai KKTP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan meningkatkan proses belajar dan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa kelas IV UPTD SD Negeri 39 Parepare. Tindakan dilakukan dalam 3 siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV UPTD SD Negeri 39 Parepare yang berjumlah 18 orang siswa terdiri dari 8 orang laki-laki dan 10 orang perempuan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis data kualitatif. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh pada pelaksanaan siklus I, aktivitas siswa dan guru mencapai kategori cukup. Pada siklus II aktivitas guru mencapai kategori baik dan aktivitas siswa mencapai kategori cukup. Pada siklus III aktivitas guru dan siswa telah mencapai kategori baik. Pemahaman konsep matematika siswa juga mengalami peningkatan setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus I pemahaman konsep matematika siswa mencapai kategori cukup, pada siklus II mencapai kategori baik, dan pada siklus III mencapai kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze students’ errors and the factor that cause students’ errors in solving problem of two-variabel linear equations system in terms of student achievement. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The subjects in this study were class IX students of SMP Negeri 26 Makassar consisting of 9 people, namely three students with high learning achievement in mathematics, three students with moderate learning achievement, and three students with low learning achievement. Researchers took three people subject for each category with the consideration that tree people are enough to answer research purpose. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling because the researcher took the subject based on the criteria set by the researcher. This determination carried out in accordance with the consideration that the sample taken canrepresent the population. Data collection techniques in this study were written tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques include data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the mistakes made by students with high mathematics achievement were wrong in understanding the questions, students were wrong in making mathematical models, and wrong in completing mathematical models; (2) students with mathematics learning achievements are making mistakes in understanding the questions, students are wrong in making mathematical models, and are wrong in completing mathematical models, and the final results are wrong; (3) students with learning achievement low mathematics make mistakes in understanding the questions, students make mistakes in making mathematical models, and wrong in completing mathematical models. The factors that cause student errors in solving SPLDV material questions include students being in a hurry so they are not careful in working on questions, difficulty finding words to be used as examples, misconceptions occur, wrong writing, difficulty understanding the meaning of the sentence proposed in the problem, lack of mastery of algebraic arithmetic operations, lack of mastery of SPLDV solving steps , lack of practice word problems, lack of mastery of the methods used in solving SPLDV questions, and as a result of errors in the previous step.

Abstract

This study is a Research and Development (R&D) aimed at developing an e-module with the SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society) approach on Circle material for 11th-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Majene. This development research is conducted to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed e-module with the SETS approach. The R&D study adopts the 4-D model (Four D Models) developed by Thiagarajan et al. (1974), which consists of four stages, namely: Define (Definition Stage), Design (Design Stage), Development (Development Stage), and Dissemination (Dissemination Stage). The validity results of the e-module with the SETS approach used assessment sheets by material experts and media experts. Based on the analysis, the scores from the material and media expert validators were out of an ideal score of , categorized as highly valid. For the practicality results of the e-module with the SETS approach, teacher and student response questionnaires were used. The analysis of the questionnaires showed that the teacher response score was (categorized as very practical) and the student response score was (categorized as very practical), thus the practicality of the e-module with the SETS approach is categorized as very practical. Lastly, the effectiveness of the e-module with the SETS approach was evaluated using learning outcome test questions. Based on the analysis of the learning outcome tests, out of students () met the Minimum Completeness Criteria (MCC), thus the effectiveness of the e-module is categorized as very effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of basic errors made by students and describe the appropriate form of scaffolding to assist students in solving exponential problems correctly. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. There are 2 research subjects, those are SMAN 21 Makassar students who were selected based on the results of a diagnostic test with the highest number of basic error indicators (T2 and T1). Data collection techniques used in this study were tests and interviews. The results showed that: (1) Students experienced basic errors in the form of; do not understand the basic concepts of integers; do not understand the basic concept of power numbers; do not understand the concept of performing algebraic operations; and do not understand the exponential rule. (2) The forms of scaffolding given to students are environmental provisions, explaining, reviewing and restructuring, and developing contextual thinking. (3) Based on the results of the final test after giving scaffolding, it was able to minimize the basic errors made by students on exponential questions.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an effect of implementing the think pair share type cooperative learning model using HOTS questions on students' mathematics learning congruence and similarity in Class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Ampana Tete. This research is experimental research. The population is all class IX students of SMP Negeri 1 Ampana Tete for the 2022/2023 academic year. The sample for this was 28 students in class IX A and 28 students in class IX B. The experimental class applied the think pair share type cooperative learning model and the control class applied the conventional learning model. The research instruments used were implementation sheets and learning outcomes tests. The data technique uses learning tests, namely pretest and posttest. The research results show that the class using the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model using HOTS questions obtained an average score of 50.07, while the control class taught using the conventional model had an average score of 40.85. The results of the hypothesis test show that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, thus it can be concluded that the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model has a significant and significant influence on students' mathematics

Abstract

This research aims to develop and produce teaching materials products based on liveworksheets that are valid, practical and effective. This research method refers to a 4D development model that includes 4 stages namely define, design, development, and disseminate. The subject of this research was the grade IX UPTD SMPN 7 Barru. Research instrument in the form of validattion sheets by experts to measure validity aspect; teacher activity observation sheet and responses to measure practicality aspect; student activity observation sheet, responses, and tests to measure effectiveness aspect. The results showed that teaching materials developed had valid criteria with validity score of 3,35; practically with a score of 3,98 for the result of teacher activity observation and 90% for teacher response result; effective with a score of 82% for the result of students activity observation, 95% for student response result, and 100% for the test result.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research using descriptive research method which aims to explain or describe students' mathematical problem solving abilities in solving questions based on jumping tasks based on students' self-efficacy. The subjects of this study were 3 (three) students from class XI. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, questionnaires and interviews. The instruments used to obtain data were self-efficacy questionnaires, test questions (jumping task-based math problems), and interview guidelines. Data analysis techniques in this study include data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: (1) students who have high self-efficacy are able to fulfill the four stages of Polya's problem solving so that their problem solving abilities are high.; (2) students who have moderate self-efficacy are only able to fulfill three stages of Polya's problem solving so that their problem-solving abilities are classified as moderate; (3) students who have low self-efficacy are only able to fulfills one stage of Polya's problem solving so that the problem solving ability is low

Abstract

Abstrak. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif, penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika dan literasi membaca, serta menganalisi pola korelasi keduanya pada siswa kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini melibatkan lima kelas VIII (180 siswa) dari 11 kelas di UPT SPF SMP Negeri 3 Makassar pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes literasi matematika dan tes literasi membaca. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi matematika siswa berada pada kategori dasar dan cenderung kategori “perlu intervensi khusus”, sedangkan literasi membaca berada pada kategori mahir. Selain itu, ditemukan korelasi asimetris antara literasi matematika dan literasi membaca, yaitu: siswa dengan literasi matematika yang baik cenderung memiliki literasi membaca yang baik; siswa dengan literasi membaca yang baik tidak selalu memiliki literasi matematika yang baik; siswa dengan kemampuan literasi membaca yang rendah cenderung memiliki literasi matematika yang rendah pula. Namun, siswa dengan literasi matematika yang rendah tidak selalu mengindikasikan kelemahan dalam literasi membaca. Implikasi dari temuan ini cukup signifikan, dan menunjukkan perlunya intervensi yang berbeda untuk meningkatkan kedua jenis literasi tersebut, dengan rekomendasi untuk fokus pada strategi pengajaran yang holistik dan terintegrasi. Kata Kunci: Literasi Matematika, Literasi Membaca; korelasi; deskriptif Abstract. Using a descriptive approach, this quantitative study aims to describe the ability of mathematical and reading literacy and analyze the correlation pattern of both in class VIII junior high school students. This study involved five VIII classes (180 students) from 11 classes in UPT SPF SMP Negeri 3 Makassar in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. Data were collected through math literacy tests and reading literacy tests. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that students' mathematical literacy was in the primary category while reading literacy was in the advanced category. In addition, an asymmetrical correlation was found between mathematical literacy and reading literacy, namely: students with good mathematical literacy tend to have good reading literacy; students with good reading literacy do not always have good mathematical literacy; students with low reading literacy skills tend to have low mathematical literacy as well. However, students with low math literacy do not necessarily indicate weakness in reading literacy. The implications of these findings are significant and point to the urgent need for targeted interventions to improve both types of literacy, with recommendations to focus on holistic and integrated teaching strategies.

Abstract

Abstrak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kajian literatur yang didesain untuk menggali secara mendalam tentang pemberian scaffolding metakognitif dalam pemecahan masalah geometri terhadap data subjek-subjek bergaya belajar auditorial. Oleh sebab itu, peneliti mencari hasil penelitian disertasi dan artikel nasional maupun internasional terindex scopus kemudian menganalisanya sehingga diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa dengan penerapan ekspositori atau pembelajaran langsung guru dapat mengajar secara rinci dengan melakukan metode yang berbeda dan berkelanjutan secara rutin seperti menampilkan video, gambar, dan mendengarkan musik. Guru juga mengarahkan siswa untuk berdiskusi dengan temannya agar mereka saling bekerjasama dalam memahami materi yang sedang dipelajari. Guru dapat memberikan scaffolding metakognitif untuk meningkatkan pencapaian belajar siswa serta mendukung proses monitoring dan kontrol siswa-siswanya. Guru dapat menggunakan media ajar teknologi Realitas Virtual (VR) dan Augmented Reality (AR) juga semakin diperkenalkan dalam konteks pembelajaran audio visual, memungkinkan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mendekati realitas dalam pemecahan masalah geometri bangun ruang.
