Abstract

President Abdurrahman Wahid's policy emerged because of discrimination against ethnic Chinese in Indonesia. The uniqueness of this research is because Abdurrahman Wahid is the first President of Indonesia to implement a policy of pluralism in comparison to the previous government. This study aims to find out and understand the way the government of Abdurrahman Wahid seeks to equalize the rights of ethnic Chinese citizens with other ethnicities, and what impacts it has. This research is expected to become educational information for historical researchers and can be developed by other historians. The research method used is historical research which includes heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The approaches and theories used are political sociology and public policy theory. The results obtained from this study are the genesis of President Abdurrahman Wahid's policies, the manifestation of President Abdurrahman Wahid's policies in the social, cultural, political fields, and the impact of these policies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to take an inventory of the number of archaeological remains of megalithic culture and other archaeological. The results of this study are the number of archaeological remains of megalithic culture at the Rajekwesi site, with locations spread over two hamlets, namely West Tobe Hamlet 4 remains and East Tobe Hamlet as many as 19 megalithic remains. close together. The belief system, social, economy, and culture adopted by the megalithic cultural community of the Rajekwesi Site, They also have a fairly complex order, namely the existence of social differentiation and social stratification, the culture of the megalithic community at the Rajekwesi Site is confirmed to have an egalitarian or mutual cooperation pattern.

Abstract

Majapahit museum is a museum that has many collections objects and has a variety of character values contained in the object of the collection which he has. The problem in this research is: (1) How is the value of educational objects in the Museum? ; (2) How are tourists’ perception of the Museum Majapahit as a means of Character education?. This study is a study of tourists perception regarding the collection of Majapahit Museum as a means of character education, especially in the value of religious character, tolerance, national enthusiasm, and homeland love. The research method used is qualitative research method with data collection in the form of observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study include the perception of tourists after visiting the Museum have a strong character perception of strong character, especially in the value of religious character, tolerance, national enthusiasm, and homeland love. The character grades in the museum's collection objects are also supported by the chairman of Majapahit Museum itself.

Abstract

This article discusses the retail trading activities of ethnic Chinese in Banyuwangi in 1967-1998. During this period, various restrictive regulations emerged among the Chinese. One of them is Cabinet Presidium Instruction No. 37/UN/IN/6/1967, which contains a ban on business and residence for foreign Chinese. This condition made retail trading activities to a halt due to the forcible sealing of stores. The outline of the problems studied in this study includes the background of the Chinese ethnic retail trade activity and the formation of the ethnic Chinese retail trade network in Banyuwangi in 1967-1998. The research method used is the historical method which consists of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The approach used is an economic sociology approach. The results of the study show that ethnic Chinese are increasingly developing their business by acting as retail traders due to limited capital and no special skills are needed. The establishment of a retail trade network is based on the nature of trust and shared experiences, using the concept of family and ethnic networks. The available commodities are diverse, reflecting the needs of the community and showing the development of the socio-economic life of the people in Banyuwangi.

Abstract

This article examines the life of Ex-Tapol in South Blitar and the survival efforts amid the new order government's discriminatory regulations against Ex-Tapol. The Study is discusses (1) what are the supervisions carried out by local governments that affect the social life – Economy of Ex-Tapol, (2) how the dynamics of the social - economic life of Ex Tapol in South Blitar 1968 - 2000. The method used in this study is a historical research method. The method used in this study is a historical research method. Use document sources, interviews, and supporting secondary sources. The results of this study are: Local government supervision of Ex-Tapol including the mandatory reporting policy, disenfranchisement of civil rights and political rights, and provision of a special code (ET) on the ID cards of ex-tapols. Many former Tapol in South Blitar worked as a farmer. The existence of a regulation that Ex-Tapol and his descendants are prohibited from having certain jobs and are prohibited from being civil servants makes Ex-Tapol in South Blitar have no other choice, but to become a farmer. The income as a farmer is uncertain, making some ex-Tapol in South Blitar increase their income by raising livestock such as cows, goats, and chickens. The interaction of Ex-Tapol with the surrounding community is partly closed because of the stigma that the Ex Tapol PKI which is an enemy of the state made some people in South Blitar choose to stay away from Ex Tapol and are reluctant to have a relationship with Ex Tapol. Abstract

This article discusses the Lengger art in Prapah Hamlet, Panti Village, Panting District, Jember Regency. This study discusses (1) How is the background of the formation of Lengger art in Prapah Hamlet, Panti Village, Panti District, Jember Regency. (2) What is the function of Lengger art on social values ​​in Prapah Hamlet, Panti Village, Panti District, Jember Regency in 1980-1990. The method used in this study is a historical research method that uses interviews and secondary sources using sources in the form of documents. The results of this study are Lengger Art is an art that comes from a journey or tirakat from a grandfather named Kek Mo. Lengger dance used to be a fertility ritual. That is, the show is held in relation to the expressions of hope and gratitude of the farmers for the results that have been achieved. Then besides being used as an expression of gratitude, this art is also used as mbarang art or busking which is used as a field to earn a living by the Lengger dancers who have social values ​​in terms of material values, vital values, and spiritual values. Abstract

Megalithic culture is a global phenomenon in the history of human culture. The remains of megalithic culture are almost scattered in various regions in Indonesia, one of which is in Lumajang Regency. Lumajang Regency, almost all of its sub- districts have artifacts or findings in the form of artifacts and texts from prehistoric times to the present. Prehistoric relics are found in Lumajang, one of which is in Kandangan Village. The purpose of this study was to inventory the archaeological remains in Kandangan Village. The method used in this research is the historical method. The results of this study are an inventory of the number, distribution, typology, and the belief system adopted, namely the belief in ancestors, with the social, cultural, and economic life of the megalithic culture supporting community at Kandangan Site which has a conception of being interrelated with one another. Abstract

Learning media that serves as a communication tool used in learning, but learning media ccan be beneficial as a means in education which helps the teaching process so that learning does not seem static, so learning can be effective. 05 Jember, SMAN 02 Tanggul and SMAN Arjasa. (1) 66% of educators have difficulties in teaching history in the application of media learning, 33% in teaching methods; (2) The learning method used by educators has used the 100% Lecture method, 66% Problem Solving, 66% Discussion; (3) 66% educators add teaching media in the form of visual Power Point and 66% Video; (4) Educators have obstacles in the application of media in 66% Difficulty in designing learning media, 33% Difficulty in developing learning media. The facilities and infrastructure in the three schools are adequate, from Wi-Fi to projectors, but they are still lacking in utilization in the learning process Based on the questionnaire analytical of learning styles, it must be said that visual teaching styles are 48.3%, audio learning styles are 20.9% and kinesthetic learning styles are 40.7%. improvement of student teaching outcomes after use Infographics teaching media based on Qr Code. The increase in learning outcomes that increased significantly between the pre-test and post-test scores increased the average learning outcomes of students by 87.47%. Abstract

This article aims to: (1) identify themes about the environment in history textbooks in high school grades X, XI, 2013 curriculum and XII SMA/MA Education Unit curriculum (KTSP); (2) analyze the representation of environmental problems in textbook material. This research was conducted using qualitative methods and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The object of research is textbook material published by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2009 and 2001. Data collection and data analysis were carried out using content analysis techniques. Based on the research conducted, the results show that: (1) there are themes that can strengthen environmental awareness in students who study history in class X, XI in the 2013 curriculum and class XII science in the Education Unit curriculum (KTSP); (2) For class XII in the 2013 curriculum the discussion of environmental history is not too much. There is only one sub-topic about the green revolution. The availability of materials with environmental history narratives can also be strengthened by narratives from the results of research conducted by historians who focus on environmental history studies. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the application of the game-based learning model on student learning outcomes in historical subjects. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of experimental research. The research design uses a quasi-experimental model pretest-posttest,, also a non-equivalent control-group design. The sample consists of 66 students in classes XI IPS 4 and XI IPS 1 at SMA Negeri 1 Gambiran. Collect the data using documentation and tests. The data analysis technique uses the one-way ANOVA test and the LSD (Least Significant Different) advanced test software assisted by SPSS 22 for Windows. The results of data analysis show that, there is an effect of the application of the game-based learning model on student learning outcomes in historical subjects. The results of the one-way ANOVA test show that the probability value (sig.) in the experimental group is 0,000<0,05, with the LSD (Least Significant Different) further test of 11.57576. And ANOVA test shows that the probability value (sig.) in the control group is 0,000<0,05, with the LSD (Least Significant Different) further test of 7.48485. Therefore, there is an effect of student learning outcomes in the experimental group that taught using a game-based learning model.
