Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership (JEMIL) (ISSN: 2961-9491) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published periodically, aiming to serve as a platform for the publication of research findings and conceptual studies in the fields of educational management and Islamic leadership. Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership seeks to strengthen the synergy between modern educational management science and Islamic leadership values based on the Qur’an and Hadith. Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership is open to academics, researchers, education practitioners, and postgraduate students who are interested in the development of educational management grounded in integrity and Islamic values. The journal publishes articles in both Indonesian and English, and follows a rigorous and objective peer-review process. The focus of the Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership lies in the development of theories, practices, and policies related to: Educational management at various levels and types of education, Leadership in the context of education based on Islamic values, Innovation and transformation in Islamic educational management in the digital era, Integration of modern management theories with Islamic principles in educational leadership. The scope of the Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership encompasses a wide range of topics within the fields of educational management and Islamic leadership. These include strategic planning in education, human resource management in educational institutions, curriculum and instructional development, quality assurance, and institutional evaluation and accreditation. It also covers concepts and practices of Islamic leadership in education, including transformational leadership within Islamic contexts, leadership in pesantren and madrasahs, and the integration of spiritual values in educational leadership. Furthermore, Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership welcomes studies on educational policy and reform, such as analyses of national and international education policies, the involvement of Islamic institutions in policy development, and Islamic-based education reform efforts. The journal also encourages research on the digitalization of educational management, the use of technology in decision-making, and innovations in educational management systems. Lastly, comparative and interdisciplinary studies bridging conventional and Islamic educational management or connecting education, management, and Islamic studies are also within the journal’s scope. Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership (JEMIL) is published by Pascasarjana, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu. The Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership (JEMIL) follows a monthly publishing schedule, publishing two issues per year in February and August. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi kepemimpinan pembelajaran kepala sekolah dan implikasinya terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru di Madrasah Tsanawiyah DDI Singga. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Data bersumber dari informan kepala madrasah, guru-guru, kegiatan-kegiatan dan dokumen-dokumen yang relevan. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan metode triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menerangkan bahwa implementasi kepemimpinan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh kepala madrasah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik guru adalah memberi motivasi, dengan mengikuti berbagai kegiatan rapat, seminar, workshop, pendidikan kilat dan pelatihan, melakukan supervisi kepada para guru, melakukan pengembangan kompetensi pedagogik guru sehingga dapat berimplikasi pada peningkatan kompetensi guru yang meliputi peningkatan pada kualitas pembelajaran dan penggunaan teknologi dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, juga berimplikasi pada lembaga pendidikan dimana guru dapat mencapai kemampuan dan kompetensi yang unggul sehingga membantu madrasah secara institusional dalam mencapai visi, misi dan tujuan madrasah yang telah ditetapkan serta dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap citra madrasah, serta berimplikasi pada meningkatnya kompetensi pedagogik guru yang meliputi kemampuan memahami peserta didik, peningkatan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang kreatif-inovatif, peningkatan motivasi belajar dan prestasi peserta didik baik akademik maupun non akademik. This research aims to explore the implementation of principals' learning leadership and its implications for teachers' pedagogical competence at Madrasah Tsanawiyah DDI Singga. This study used a qualitative approach with case study design. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation and document study. Data comes from informants, madrasa heads, teachers, activities and relevant documents. Data analysis uses an interactive analysis model which includes data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data was carried out using source and technique triangulation methods. The results of the research explain that the implementation of learning leadership carried out by madrasa heads in improving teachers' pedagogical competence is to provide motivation, by participating in various meetings, seminars, workshops, express education and training activities, supervising teachers, developing teachers' pedagogical competence so that it can have implications on increasing teacher competency which includes improving the quality of learning and the use of technology in learning activities, also has implications for educational institutions where teachers can achieve superior abilities and competencies so as to help madrasas institutionally achieve the vision, mission and goals of madrasas that have been set and can improve public trust in the image of madrasas, and has implications for increasing teacher pedagogical competence which includes the ability to understand students, increasing the implementation of creative-innovative learning, increasing learning motivation and student achievement both academic and non-academic.

Abstract

Educational Transformation Process through the Role of Leader Teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Tolitoli Penelitian tentang proses transformasi pendidikan melalui peran guru penggerak dilakukan dengan tujuan 1) untuk menganalisis proses transformasi pembelajaran di SMP Negeri 1 Tolitoli melalui peran guru penggerak , 2) untuk menganalisis proses transformasi ekosistem di SMP Negeri 1 Tolitoli melalui peran guru penggerak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dengan alur pengumpulan data, reduksi data dan penyajian data. Keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Proses transformasi pembelajaran melalui peran guru penggerak meliputi a) metode pembelajaran sebagai inisiator dan pendorong bagi rekan guru, serta motivator bagi siswa; b) penggunaan teknologi sangat membantu guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran;, c) pemberdayaan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran membawa perubahan yang signifikan terhadap siswa; 2) Proses transformasi ekosistem sekolah melalui peran guru penggerak meliputi : a) Peran guru penggerak sebagai inisiator dan pendorong dalam pengunaan teknologi pendidikan; b) Peran guru penggerak sebagai pendorong terciptanya budaya kolaborasi dan berbagi praktik baik. Research on the education transformation process through the role of leader teachers were conducted with the following objectives: 1) to analyze the learning transformation process in SMP Negeri 1 Tolitoli through the role of leader teachers, and 2) to analyze the ecosystem transformation process in SMP Negeri 1 Tolitoli through the role of leader teachers. This research employed a qualitative research method. Data collection procedures involved interviews, observations, and document studies. The data analysis technique followed a process of data collection, data reduction, and data presentation. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and method triangulation. The results of the research are as follows: 1) the learning transformation process through the role of leader teachers includes a) teaching methods as initiators and motivators for fellow teachers, as well as motivators for students. b) The use of technology greatly aids teachers and students in learning. c) Empowering students in learning brings significant changes to students. 2) The school ecosystem transformation process through the role of leader teachers includes: a) the role of leader teachers as initiators and promoters of educational technology utilization. b) The role of leader teachers as promoters of collaborative culture and sharing best practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gaya Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan implikasinya pada peningkatan kinerja guru di SD Inpres 7 Labuan Baru. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yaitu suatu penelitian yang dilakukan untuk menginterpretasi objek sesuai dengan apa adanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SD Inpres 7 Labuan Baru yaitu: pertama, berorientasi pada tujuan untuk mewujudkan pencapaian visi misi sekolah, dengan mengutamakan musyawarah untuk memecahkan persoalan, melibatkan guru-guru dalam pengambilan keputusan, dan meningkatkan kompetensi guru melalui kegiatan pelatihan, KKG dan webinar, serta memberikan bimbingan dan arahan kepada guru dan staf administrasi dan membangun komunikasi dan menjaga hubungan baik dengan guru, staf administrasi dan siswa. Kedua, implikasi gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SD Inpres 7 Labuan Baru, yaitu sekolah diorientaskan pada pencapaian tujuan Pendidikan, meningkatnya suasana demokratis di lingkungan sekolah, guru-guru merasa dihargai karena kebijakan sekolah diambil berdasarkan hasil musyawarah, meningkatnya kompetensi guru, sehingga kinerja guru menjadi semakin baik, meningkatnya kompetensi guru dalam melaksanakan profesinya sebagai pendidik dan terbangunnya rasa keakraban dan kekeluargaan This research aims to determine the Principal's Leadership Style and its implications for improving teacher performance at SD Inpres 7 Labuan Baru. Using a qualitative descriptive method, namely research carried out to interpret objects according to what they are. The results of the research show that the principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance at SD Inpres 7 Labuan Baru is: first, goal-oriented to realize the achievement of the school's vision and mission, by prioritizing deliberation to solve problems, involving teachers in decision making, and increasing competence teachers through training activities, KKG and webinars, as well as providing guidance and direction to teachers and administrative staff and building communication and maintaining good relationships with teachers, administrative staff and students. Second, the implications of the principal's leadership style in improving teacher performance at SD Inpres 7 Labuan Baru, namely that the school is oriented towards achieving educational goals, increasing the democratic atmosphere in the school environment, teachers feeling appreciated because school policies are taken based on the results of deliberation, increasing teacher competence, so that teacher performance becomes better, teacher competence increases in carrying out their profession as educators and a sense of closeness and kinship is built.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang implementasi pembelajaran humanistik dan mengetahui implikasinya terhadap akhlak peserta didik di SDIT Ibnul Mubarok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran humanistik di SDIT Ibnul Mubarok diterapkan melalui berbagai kegiatan dimana peserta didik di SDIT Ibnul Mubarok selalu melaksanakan sholat berjamaah di sekolah tanpa diperintah oleh guru, sekolah melaksanakan kegiatan workshop yang diselenggarakan oleh Dinas Pendidikan untuk mengadopsi kurikulum pembelajaran humanistik, dan SDIT Ibnul Mubarok juga menyelenggarakan kajian-kajian yang dilaksanakan di Ta'lim dengan para ustadz sebagai penceramah. Implikasi dari pembelajaran humanistik di SDIT Ibnul Mubarok terlihat pada akhlak peserta didik, yaitu: (a) terbentuknya kepribadian yang lebih baik yaitu menerapkan adab-adab seorang muslim, (b) sikap peserta didik di SDIT Ibnul Mubarok menunjukkan akhlak sopan santun, kepada guru, dan orang tua, serta teman-temannya, (c) SDIT Ibnul Mubarok menunjukkan teladan kedisiplinan kepada peserta didik, yaitu dengan selalu memulai proses pembelajaran dan kegiatan apapun sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditetapkan. This research aims to examine the implementation of humanistic learning and determine its implications for the morals of students at SDIT Ibnul Mubarok. The results of the research show that the implementation of humanistic learning at SDIT Ibnul Mubarok is implemented through various activities where students at SDIT Ibnul Mubarok always carry out congregational prayers at school without being ordered by the teacher, the school carries out workshop activities organized by the Education Office to adopt a humanistic learning curriculum, and SDIT Ibnul Mubarok also organized studies which were carried out at Ta'lim with ustadz as lecturers. The implications of humanistic learning at SDIT Ibnul Mubarok can be seen in the students' morals, namely: (a) the formation of a better personality, namely applying Muslim etiquette, (b) the attitude of students at SDIT Ibnul Mubarok shows good manners, towards teachers, and parents and friends, (c) SDIT Ibnul Mubarok shows an example of discipline to students, namely by always starting the learning process and any activities according to the predetermined schedule.

Abstract

Penelitian yang bertujuan (1) mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dan pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap prestasi belajar siswa di SD Muhammadiyah 2 Palu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa sedangkan obyek penelitian adalah kompetensi guru SD Muhammadiyah 2 Palu. Penelitian survei dimaksudkan untuk memperoleh gambaran umum mengenai kompetensi guru. Untuk menjelaskan variabel-variabel penelitian tersebut dilakukan dengan tingkat eksplanasi deskriptif dan korelatif. Teknik Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis pertama (H0) ditolak dengan temuan perolehan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,050. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut tersebut dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa kompetensi guru memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Selanjutnya hasil pengujian hipotesis kedua (H0) ditolak dengan temuan perolehan nilai signifikansi 0,016 < 0,050. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut tersebut dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa kompetensi guru memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. The research aims to (1) determine the influence of teacher competency on student learning motivation and the influence of teacher competency on student learning achievement at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Palu. This research is survey research with a quantitative approach. The research subjects were students, while the research objects were the competence of teachers at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Palu. Survey research is intended to obtain a general picture of teacher competence. To explain the variables, the research was carried out at descriptive and correlative levels of explanation. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of testing the first hypothesis (H0) were rejected with the finding of a significance value of 0.000 < 0.050. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that teacher competence has a significant influence on student learning motivation. Furthermore, the results of testing the second hypothesis (H0) were rejected with the finding of a significance value of 0.016 < 0.050. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that teacher competence has a significant influence on student learning achievement.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan hal yang penting untuk keberlangsungan hidup manusia. Disamping itu untuk meningkatkan sumber daya manusia (SDM), dengan pendidikan seseorang dapat memperoleh berbagai pengalaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui realitas peserta didik terkait pengaruh latar belakang pendidikan dan ekonomi orang tua terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. pada SMK Muhamadiyah I Palu. Penelitian ini merupakan Ex Post Facto dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ekonomi orang tua berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Selanjutnya peningkatan latar belakang orang tua memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat latar belakang pendidikan orang tua memberikan pengaruh yang positif terhadap peserta didik namun latar belakang Pendidikan orang tua tidak signifikan mempengaruhi morivasi belajar peserta didik. Hasil tersebut dibuktikan dengan fakta bahwa peserta didik dengan latar belakang pendidikan orang tua yang rendah memiliki motivasi belajar yang tinggi. Education is important for human survival. Apart from that, to improve human resources (HR), with education a person can gain various experiences. This research aims to determine the reality of students regarding the influence of parents' educational and economic background on students' learning motivation. at Muhammadiyah I Vocational School, Palu. This research is Ex-Post Facto with a quantitative approach. This research shows that parents' economic conditions have a significant effect on students' learning motivation. Furthermore, increasing parental background has a positive influence on students' learning motivation. This research concludes that the higher the level of parental educational background has a positive influence on students. However, parental educational background does not significantly influence students' motivation to learn. These results are proven by the fact that students with low parental educational backgrounds have high learning motivation

Abstract

Penelitian kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran kepala sekolah dalam pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Biro Palu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Manajemen kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan sarana dan prasarana di SD Negeri Biro Palu telah memenuhi standar minimal nasional pendidikan di Indonesia. Tindakan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah dalam pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana di SDN Biro Palu melalui pelaksanaan fungsi manajemen, (2) Implikasi dari peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan sarana dan prasarana adalah dengan mengajukan Dana Alokasi Khusus ( DAK) untuk meningkatkan kualitas fasilitas. dan prasarana pendidikan di SDN Biro Palu dan penggunaan dana tersebut untuk: (a) pemasangan wall paper pada dinding kantor, (b) penambahan daya internet, (c) pemasangan CCTV, (d) penyediaan pojok baca di setiap kelas, ( e) mengaktifkan kembali komite sekolah (f) pembangunan gerbang baru, (g) Guru dapat lembur hingga sore hari untuk menyelesaikan tugasnya karena sudah mempunyai gerbang baru. This qualitative research aims to describe the role of the principal in managing facilities and infrastructure at the Bureau Palu State Elementary School. The results of the research show that (1) The principal's management in improving facilities and infrastructure at the Bureau Palu State Elementary School has met the minimum national education standards in Indonesia. The actions taken by the principal in the management of facilities and infrastructure at the Palu Bureau Public Elementary School through the implementation of management functions, (2) The implication of the principal's leadership role in improving facilities and infrastructure is to apply for Special Allocation Funds (DAK) to improve the quality of the facilities. and educational infrastructure at the Bureau Palu Public Elementary School and use these funds for: (a) installing wall paper on office walls, (b) adding internet power, (c) installing CCTV, (d) providing reading corners in each class, (e) reactivate the school committee (f) construction of a new gate, (g) Teachers can stay overtime until the afternoon to complete their assignments because they already have a new gate.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui implementasi peran Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah dan implikasinya terhadap peningkatan Kompetensi Guru Sekolah Dasar Inpres Bumi Bahari Kecamatan Palu Barat Kota Palu. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara terhadap informan kepala sekolah dan guru-guru. Data dianalisis secara interaktif dan dilaporkan secara naratif deksriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa peran kepala sekolah meliputi peran manajer, menjadi agen perubahan yang unggul, penentu arah organisasi yang memahami prioritas, menjadi pemimpin profesional, dan inovator bagi lembaga. Keberhasilan sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu lulusan tidak bisa lepas dari peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah serta sumber daya guru yang bermutu, kepala sekolah melalui kepemimpinannya harus dapat memastikan bahwa sumber daya manusia (guru) di dalamnya memiliki kompetensi yang baik sehingga dapat memenuhi visi dan cita-cita yang telah ditetapkan sekolah, oleh sebab itu, kepala sekolah memegang peranan penting dalam hal pengembangan kompetisi guru. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SD Inpres Bumi Bahari Kota Palu berimplikasi pada meningkatnya kompetensi guru-guru di sekolah tersebut. This research aims to determine the implementation of the Principal's Leadership role and its implications for increasing the Competency of Inpres Bumi Bahari Primary School Teachers, West Palu District, Palu City. This research uses a qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews with school principals and teachers as informants. Data is analyzed interactively and reported in a descriptive narrative. This research found that the role of the principal includes the role of a manager, being a superior change agent, determining organizational direction who understands priorities, being a professional leader, and an innovator for the institution. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) untuk mengetahui apakah tingkat Pendidikan dan self-efficacy berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Banwa. Penelitian ini mengambil total sampel 68 orang guru Aparatur Sipil Negara di 6 sekolah. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, sedangkan metode analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan tingkat Pendidikan berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru SMP Negeri di kecamatan Banawa. Sedangkan untuk self-efficacy juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru SMP Negeri di kecamatan Banawa. Hasil ini dapat dilihat dari nilai uji t yaitu untuk tingkat Pendidikan 0.00 dan self-efficacy 0.01, kedua nilai tersebut berada dibawah taraf signifikansi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebesar 0.05. Sedangkan untuk pengaruh simultan kedua variabel independen dalam penelitian ini (tingkat Pendidikan dan self-efficacy) dilihat dari nilai uji F. Uji F yang didapatkan adalah sebesar 0.00, nilai inipun masih kurang atau dibawah dari taraf signifikansi yang digunakan dalan penelitian ini 0.05, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa tingkat Pendidikan dan self-efficacy berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru SMP Negeri di kecamatan Banawa. This research aims (1) to find out whether the level of education and self-efficacy influence the pedagogical competence of State Middle School teachers in Banwa District. This research took a total sample of 68 State Civil Service teachers in 6 schools. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach, while the statistical analysis method used is multiple linear-regression. The results of the research show that the level of education has a partially significant effect on the pedagogical competence of State Middle School teachers in Banawa sub-district. Meanwhile, self-efficacy also has a significant effect on the pedagogical competence of State Middle School teachers in Banawa sub-district. This result can be seen from the t test value, namely for education level 0.00 and self-efficacy 0.01, both values ??are below the significance level used in this research of 0.05. Meanwhile, the simultaneous influence of the two independent variables in this research (level of education and self-efficacy) can be seen from the F test value. The F test obtained is 0.00, this value is still less or below the significance level used in this research of 0.05, so it can be concluded that the level of education and self-efficacy simultaneously influence the pedagogical competence of State Middle School teachers in Banawa sub-district.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Menganalisis dan menjelaskan gaya kepemimpinan kiyai dalam mengembangkan pondok pesantren Sirojul Ma’ruf Tolitoli. 2) Menganalisis dan menjelaskan Strategi kiyai dalam mengembangkan pondok pesantren Sirojul Ma’ruf Tolitoli. Metode yang digunakan yakni metode penelitian kualitatif. Peneliti juga menggunakan instrumen pembantu berupa pedoman wawancara, pedoman observasi, dan kajian dokumentasi, dan buku catatan. Prosedur pengolahan dan analisis data yang dilakukan peneliti yaitu teknik melalui kegiatan reduksi data dan penyajian data. Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) Gaya kepemimpinan kiai dalam mengembangkan pondok pesantren Sirojul Ma’ruf Tolitoli adalah gaya kepemimpinan kharismatik dan gaya kepemimpina Islami dengan mengedapankan nilai-nilai tauhid, adil, amanah, mengedepankan musyawarah dan ketauladanan memberikan pengaruh besar ke bawahan untuk bergerak mengikuti intruksi kiyai secara sukarela untuk mencapai tujuan bersama. 2) Strategi kepemimpinan dalam mengembangkan pondok pesantren Sirojul Ma’ruf Tolitoli yaitu dengan melakukan komunikasi intensif dengan semua lapisan kalangan masyarakat, melakukan pendekatan personal yang intensif dengan pejabat pemerintahan sebagi pengambil kebijakan, juga dengan para pengusaha sebagai pemilik modal, kemudian dengan mendirikan lembaga pendidikaan formal dan non formal mulai dari SD, Madrasah Diniyah,MTs. Dan SMU, serta pengelolaan keuangan yang baik dengan mengedapankan aspek amanah dan kompetensi keilmuan. This study aims to 1) analyze and explain the kiyai's leadership style in developing the Sirojul Ma'ruf Tolitoli Islamic boarding school. 2) Analyze and explain the Kyai's strategy in developing the Sirojul Ma'ruf Tolitoli Islamic boarding school. The method used is a qualitative research method. Researchers also used auxiliary instruments in the form of interview guides, observation guidelines, and documentation reviews, and notebooks. Processing procedures and data analysis carried out by researchers, namely techniques through data reduction activities and data presentation. The results of this study indicate: 1) The kiyai's leadership style in developing the Sirojul Ma'ruf Tolitoli Islamic boarding school is a charismatic leadership style and an Islamic leadership style by prioritizing the values of monotheism, fairness, trustworthiness, prioritizing deliberation and example giving great influence to subordinates to follow kiai's instructions voluntarily to achieve common goals. 2) The leadership strategy in developing the Sirojul Ma'ruf Tolitoli Islamic boarding school is by carrying out intensive communication with all levels of society, carrying out intensive personal approaches with government officials as policy makers, also with entrepreneurs as owners of capital, then by establishing formal educational institutions and non-formal starting from SD, Madrasah Diniyah, MTs. And high school, as well as good financial management by prioritizing aspects of trust and scientific competence.
