The focus of INTERACTION: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa is to provide a platform for researchers, educators, and practitioners to share innovative research and practical insights within the realm of language teaching and literature. The journal particularly emphasizes studies that explore effective teaching methodologies, language acquisition, curriculum design, and the integration of technology in language education. In addition, it welcomes research on applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, and psycholinguistics, as they relate to language teaching practices. The scope of the journal also includes a focus on literary analysis, interpretation, and criticism, especially how literature can be incorporated into the classroom to foster critical thinking and cultural understanding. Specific topics of interest range from the teaching of literature in multicultural settings, literary pedagogy, and comparative literature to the role of literature in language development and intercultural competence. The journal seeks contributions that address contemporary challenges and propose creative solutions within these areas, aiming to bridge theory and practice in language education and literary studies.

<![CDATA[Indonesian Language for non-native speakers is generally taught through formal schools with comprehensive learning facilities and professional teachers. Indonesian language lessons for non-native speakers are not entirely intended for foreign citizens but are also needed by Indonesian citizens who have lived for generations outside Indonesia. As a result, they need to relearn Indonesian language and culture. Kursus Pengetahuan Dasar Indonesia (KPDI) Davao, Philippines is a program created by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in the Davao working area which aims to Indonesianize Indonesian descendants spread across the Davao region, Philippines. However, this program did not run optimally due to the lack of professional teachers and adequate learning facilities. Despite efforts by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Davao to provide modules for teachers or instructors and implement monitoring and evaluation programs to ensure the learning is ongoing. This research aims to provide input on nature-based learning designs that can be implemented easily and efficiently by instructors to help improve students' vocabulary and communication skills at Kursus Pengetahuan Dasar Indonesia (KPDI) in Davao, Mindanao, Philippines. Using a qualitative approach, data collection was carried out through interviews, observation, and literature studies. The results of the research show the importance of improving modules, mentoring and providing direction to teachers to design learning methods with students-based learning approaches.]]>

<![CDATA[This research explores the impact that the transformation of social media has had on human communication culture, especially through interactions between celebrities and fans in vlog content on Leslar Entertainment's YouTube channel. The focus is not only on changing digital consumption patterns, but also on the role of social media in the context of capitalism. Using social theories, such as the concepts of presumption, playboard, and digital labour, this study underscores the changes taking place in modern society driven by the logic of power accumulation and accelerated accumulation. The concept of time in labour value theory is also used to identify social media as a reflection of the changing regime of time in modern society. Theoretical and interpretive analysis methods were used in researching vlog content and interactions between celebrities and fans on Leslar Entertainment's YouTube platform. The results show that social media, particularly in the context of Lesla's YouTube.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to investigate how student learning results, teacher professional development, and the efficacy of school administration are affected by the shift in leadership in the digital age in technology-driven management of education governance. A qualitative research approach was used in the study's design, and semi-structured interviews with teachers, students, and school administrators were used to collect data. Triangulation method was used in the research to analyse school policy documents and practices pertaining to technology integration. At SD Muhammadiyah 14 Palembang, the results demonstrated a considerable improvement in students' academic performance through technology-based education management. Personalized learning materials are made available to students through the use of educational software and online resources, which also improves academic performance. Furthermore, the use of digital platforms for feedback and evaluation has made it easier for teachers to monitor students' progress in real time and effectively, enabling them to offer focused interventions. The present study underscores the noteworthy influence of technology-driven education governance on the academic achievements of students, the professional growth of educators, and the efficiency of school administration at SD Muhammadiyah 14 Palembang. The study points up a number of integration-related difficulties that school administrators must carefully analyse and handle. The study's recommendations are intended to address these issues and enhance the efficacy of SD Muhammadiyah 14 Palembang's technology-based education management in the digital age.]]>

<![CDATA[The Indonesian film industry has shown significant development in recent years, particularly in terms of genre diversification and technical quality. One major achievement in this sector is the success of the animated film JUMBO (2025), which became the third highest-grossing Indonesian film of all time, with over 7 million viewers. This success reflects a major shift in Indonesian audience preferences toward local animated films, which were previously often considered less popular. JUMBO not only offers entertainment but also presents a strong and emotional narrative, along with relevant Indonesian social and cultural values. This study aims to examine JUMBO as a manifestation of a new paradigm in Indonesian cinema, focusing on its narrative approach, technical and visual aspects, as well as the digital communication strategies used to market the film. In addition, audience responses to the film are analyzed to understand its impact on public perception of local animated films. The research uses a qualitative approach, including content analysis of the film and a study of social media use in its marketing strategy. JUMBO not only provides visual entertainment but also conveys universal values such as struggle, family, and hope, making it both relevant and emotionally resonant for viewers. The findings show that JUMBO has successfully reshaped audience expectations regarding the quality of local films and opened new opportunities for the development of the animation genre in Indonesia. The film’s success highlights the great potential for the Indonesian animated film industry to grow further and be embraced by both local and international audiences.]]>

<![CDATA[This study investigates the potential of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) as an approach for improving English language proficiency among high school students in Bener Meriah, Aceh, Indonesia. Leveraging the local identity and reputation of Bener Meriah as a leading coffee producer region, this study proposed a coffee-themed curriculum to be integrated in English learning with culturally relevant content. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted in accordance with PRISMA guidelines to explore the implementation of CLIL in high school EFL contexts. Using Google Scholar, an initial boolean search identified 87 articles published between 2020 and 2024. Through inclusion and exclusion criteria, 12 relevant studies were selected for final analysis. The findings reveal that (i) CLIL promotes language acquisition, contextual learning, and student motivation. However, (ii) challenges such as resource constraints, teacher training needs, and implementation costs must be addressed. Based on these findings, this article offers recommendations for CLIL integration and highlights its implications for education and economic development in EFL contexts, particularly Bener Meriah, where coffee farming is a primary source of livelihood.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to explore students' perceptions of the effectiveness of using Duolingo as a foreign language learning platform for first semester English education students. The researcher identified the extent to which Duolingo app is effective in assisting foreign language learning and evaluated how effective the app is in assisting students in foreign language learning. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, and data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews with second-semester students of the English Education Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang. The findings show that most students have a positive perception of Duolingo. They found the app easy to use, interesting, and helpful in understanding and memorizing vocabulary. Features such as repetition, daily reminders, and interactive design were found to increase learning motivation and student engagement. However, Duolingo's effectiveness in a structured classroom setting was considered neutral due to limitations in its integration into formal teaching methods. Overall, Duolingo is considered an effective tool for self-directed English vocabulary learning.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to examine the influence of using Quizizz, a game-based digital learning platform, on students' English learning outcomes at SMA Muhammadiyah Pangsid. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using pre-test and post-test assessments to measure the impact. The sample consisted of 20 students selected through simple random sampling. Data collection techniques included reading tests, questionnaires, observations, and statistical analysis using paired sample t-test. The results show a significant improvement in students’ English proficiency after using Quizizz, indicated by the average score increase from 26.55 (pre-test) to 38.75 (posttest). Questionnaire analysis revealed that students responded positively to the use of Quizizz, with high levels of motivation, engagement, and enjoyment. Observational data also demonstrated increased classroom participation and collaboration. These findings suggest that Quizizz not only enhances academic performance but also fosters a more interactive and engaging learning environment.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze and compare the English learning needs from the perspectives of students and teachers at SMKN 1 Dampal Selatan, MA Al-Ittihad DDI Soni, and SMA Negeri 1 Dampal Selatan. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using data collected through questionnaires distributed to students and interviews conducted with English teachers. The focus of this study includes academic needs such as mastery of the four main English skills, and non-academic needs like motivation, environmental support, and self-confidence, as well as perceptions regarding the use of technology in learning. The results indicate a significant gap between students’ and teachers’ expectations. Students tend to prefer practical, technology-based, and work-oriented materials, while teachers emphasize grammar mastery, basic language skills, and the need for adequate learning media. Additionally, students expressed difficulties in vocabulary acquisition and low confidence in speaking, whereas teachers stressed the importance of enhancing motivation and learning facilities. These findings highlight the necessity to adjust curricula and teaching methods to better align with students’ real-world needs and support more effective English learning.]]>

<![CDATA[This study titled Bugis Language Interference in the Construction of Indonesian Language Usage. Given the importance of an effective communication process in language learning, we still often encounter language errors in Indonesian interactions between students in the academic sphere. This is caused by students' bilingual ability, which is influenced using the first language or mother tongue. This study aims to describe Bugis language interference that affects the use of Indonesian. The study method used descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through direct dialog with students with recording and note-taking techniques through observation during the learning process. The results showed that students of Indonesian Language Education Study Program in Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang tended to mix Bugis language when communicating using Indonesian, even in formal situations.]]>

<![CDATA[The integration of communication processes occurs when conventional and digital communication patterns are used simultaneously, allowing communication activities to take place both face-to-face and through mediated channels. This condition has become increasingly relevant as the need for health information grows more dynamic and is obtained from diverse sources. This study aims to analyze the direct effect of information sources on learning factors and the effectiveness of health communication, the direct effect of learning factors on the effectiveness of health communication, and the indirect effect of information sources on the effectiveness of health communication through learning factors. The main concepts examined in this study include information sources, learning factors, and health communication effectiveness. This research employed an explanatory quantitative approach involving 97 students from Grade X and XI at SMA Sejahtera 1 Depok City. Data were collected through a survey using a Google Form questionnaire and analyzed using multivariate analysis. The results indicate that information sources have a direct and significant effect on both learning factors and the effectiveness of health communication. Learning factors also have a direct and significant effect on the effectiveness of health communication. However, learning factors do not mediate the relationship between information sources and health communication effectiveness. Future studies are recommended to involve a larger sample size and adopt a mixed-methods approach to allow for comparative analysis, such as multi-group analysis.]]>
