Abstract

This article aims to examine the Prophet Moses and Pharaoh as interpreted in Tafsir al-Manār by Muhammad Rashid Rida, with the intent to uncover the Qur'anic paradigm in addressing the phenomenon of authoritarianism and tyranny. Employing a qualitative approach with thematic exegesis as the primary analytical instrument, this study explores how Rida not only presents the historical dimensions of the narrative but also articulates it as a socio-political critique of despotic regimes that undermine human dignity and justice. Tafsir al-Manār positions the story of Moses and Pharaoh not merely as a spiritual-religious narrative, but as a reflection of the dynamics of power that deviate from ethical principles and divine norms. Moses’ rejection of Pharaoh’s domination is interpreted as a symbol of resistance against all forms of absolute power that violate human rights and dignity. Accordingly, this tafsir presents a normative Qur'anic framework relevant to the formulation of a political system that is just, transparent, and rooted in humanitarian values. Through this analysis, the article seeks to contribute to the development of thematic exegesis discourse that promotes social transformation and encourages a contextual, critical, and responsive reading of the Qur'an in light of contemporary political challenges. Abstract

Artikel ini membahas konsep moderasi beragama dalam Islam sebagai solusi konflik sosial akibat meningkatnya intoleransi berbasis agama di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif berbasis studi literatur, penelitian ini menganalisis data sekunder dari laporan SETARA Institute (2018–2022) serta kajian akademik terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan kasus intoleransi, dengan puncaknya pada tahun 2022 sebanyak 175 peristiwa dan 333 tindakan pelanggaran. Pelanggaran dilakukan oleh aktor negara, seperti pemerintah daerah dan aparat penegak hukum, serta aktor non-negara, seperti warga, individu, dan organisasi keagamaan. Kondisi ini memperlihatkan adanya problem struktural sekaligus lemahnya internalisasi nilai toleransi di masyarakat. Konsep moderasi beragama dalam Islam, yang menekankan keseimbangan, toleransi, dan keadilan, ditawarkan sebagai pendekatan strategis untuk mencegah dan menyelesaikan konflik sosial. Implementasi dapat dilakukan melalui penguatan pendidikan Islam yang moderat, penyusunan kebijakan nondiskriminatif, serta pemberdayaan masyarakat sipil. Dengan penerapan konsisten, moderasi beragama diharapkan mampu menciptakan kehidupan sosial yang harmonis, damai, dan inklusif di tengah keberagaman bangsa Indonesia.

Abstract

Teaching Qur'an reading to children aged 3–5 faces challenges due to limited attention spans and conventional methods that fail to engage young learners. The Qiraati method offers a structured and interactive approach, yet its application in early childhood education remains underexplored. This study examines the implementation of the Qiraati method in Qur'an reading activities for children aged 3–5 at TPQ Sahabat Qurani Bekasi. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Findings indicate that the Qiraati method effectively enhances children’s ability to recognize Hijaiyah letters and pronounce them with correct makharij. The method was implemented in two main stages: classical learning with visual aids and individual learning using a read-listen technique. Key supporting factors included teacher competency and parental involvement, while challenges included children’s short attention spans and limited instructional media variety. The study concludes that the Qiraati method proves effective in creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences for young children. These findings contribute to the development of adaptive Qur'an learning models for early childhood education.

Abstract

Pengorganisasian kurikulum memegang peran krusial dalam menentukan efektivitas proses pembelajaran di berbagai jenjang pendidikan. Studi ini bertujuan mengkaji secara komprehensif teori-teori dasar yang menjadi pijakan pengembangan kurikulum, menyajikan tipologi model-model pengorganisasian kurikulum utama, serta menilai penerapan nyata di lapangan. Pendekatan ini menekankan pentingnya struktur kurikulum yang selaras dengan kebutuhan pembelajar dan tuntutan perkembangan zaman. Pada tinjauan teori, penelitian menelusuri paradigma konstruktivisme, behaviorisme, dan humanisme sebagai landasan konseptual utama. Selanjutnya, lima model kurikulum subjek akademik, terintegrasi, spiral, berbasis kompetensi, dan tematik dibahas dari segi karakteristik, kelebihan, dan tantangan. Analisis kritis mengungkap sinergi dan konflik antarparadigma dalam konteks implementasi kurikulum. Di bagian implementasi, studi ini mengeksplorasi dinamika adaptasi kurikulum pada konteks institusional dan kebutuhan peserta didik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan penerapan sangat dipengaruhi oleh kesiapan pendidik, dukungan kebijakan, dan keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi rujukan strategis bagi perancang kebijakan, praktisi, dan peneliti dalam menciptakan kurikulum yang responsif, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Islamic legal view on mediation in divorce cases. And to determine the factors of low success of mediation in the Sibuhuan Religious Court. This study was conducted with the type of field research, using descriptive qualitative research methods. And the results, the Islamic legal view of mediation is known as as-sulhu, which is an agreement made by parties who agree to end their dispute. And in Islamic law the parties agree not to take legal action in resolving their dispute. And the factors of low success of mediation in the Sibuhuan Religious Court are internal factors between husband and wife because there is no common ground in the problems of husband and wife other than the word divorce or divorce. First because one of the two parties is already bored in marriage or the feelings of one of them have disappeared. And second, the state of the mediator who is less disciplined in resolving this case. and third, the husband and wife's family fully supports the divorce immediately

Abstract

This study aims to determine the criteria for gharimin as mustahik zakat according to Islamic law and the Islamic legal review of mustahik zakat gharimin in Tanjung Baringin Village, Hutaraja Tinggi District, Padang Lawas Regency. The type of research used is field research with a qualitative descriptive method, which attempts to comprehensively describe the social conditions related to gharimin. The research subjects include the community of Tanjung Baringin Village, while the research object is mustahik zakat gharimin. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the criteria for gharimin as mustahik zakat according to Islamic law are people who have debts due to the necessities of life or the interests of defending truth and justice, but not debts used for crime or immorality. This is in line with the opinions of four schools of thought, namely Hanafi, Maliki, Syafi'i, and Hambali. A review of Islamic law regarding those entitled to gharimin zakat in Tanjung Baringin Village shows that all six respondents interviewed are classified as mustahik zakat gharimin because they are poor individuals who have debts for purposes that do not violate Islamic law. Therefore, the distribution of zakat to them is valid and in accordance with Islamic law.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply dissect the concepts of ‘Amm (general) and Khash (specific) in the disciplines of Usul Fiqh and the study of Qur'anic exegesis. These two concepts are fundamental methodological instruments that determine the accuracy in interpreting sacred texts, especially in establishing Islamic law. This study uses a qualitative approach, content analysis method of primary literature on Usul Fiqh and exegesis. The results of the study indicate that the understanding of ‘Amm and Khash is not merely a linguistic distinction, but a complex epistemological framework. The concept of ‘Amm is defined as a word that encompasses all units that are appropriate for it without limits, with various forms and linguistic indicators. Meanwhile, Khash is a word that is limited to certain units. The interaction between the two, such as the process of takhshish (specification) of a general text, is key to understanding the seemingly contradictory message of the Qur'an. This study concludes that mastering the concepts of 'Amm and Khash is crucial for mufassir and fuqaha (jurists) to avoid arbitrary and extreme interpretations and to produce legal conclusions that are contextual, comprehensive, and relevant to the dynamics of the times. Their proper application ensures the elasticity and continuity of Islamic law in addressing contemporary issues.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a major influence on various aspects of life, including the implementation of worship and social interactions, one of which is marriage. Physical distancing policies and social policies have led to the emergence of online wedding practices as an alternative. This article aims to examine modern jurisprudence's views on the validity of online marriage during the pandemic using a qualitative approach and literature review. Research findings indicate that primary placements focus on providing pool conditions. The Hanafiyah school, with its emphasis on the unity of time, opens up more opportunities for the validity of online marriages. Meanwhile, the Shafi'iyah School, which requires the unity of place and time, generally declares it invalid. However, in emergency situations such as the pandemic, many contemporary ulama and fatwa institutions, including the results of the ijtima' of the MUI fatwa commission, have begun to consider the validity of the marriage with strict conditions, such as certainty of identity, valid audio-visual witness evidence, and implementation carried out simultaneously.

Abstract

Pendidikan dalam perspektif Islam tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai proses transfer ilmu pengetahuan, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembentukan karakter dan spiritualitas manusia. Al-Qur’an sebagai sumber utama ajaran Islam memuat prinsip-prinsip pendidikan yang bersifat holistik dan integral, mencakup aspek tauhid, akhlak, ilmu pengetahuan, jasmani, serta sosial kemasyarakatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai pendidikan Qur’ani sebagai landasan dalam pembentukan karakter melalui pendekatan tafsir tematik terhadap beberapa ayat Al-Qur’an, antara lain Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 163, Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-A’raf ayat 199, Surah Az-Zumar ayat 9, Surah Al-Baqarah ayat 247, dan Surah Al-Maidah ayat 2. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Qur’ani membentuk manusia yang seimbang antara aspek spiritual, intelektual, fisik, dan sosial. Prinsip tauhid menanamkan keimanan yang kokoh; pendidikan akhlak mengarahkan pada perilaku terpuji; pendidikan ilmu pengetahuan menumbuhkan kecerdasan dan rasa tanggung jawab ilmiah; pendidikan jasmani menekankan pentingnya kesehatan sebagai bagian dari ibadah; sedangkan pendidikan sosial menumbuhkan semangat tolong-menolong dan kebersamaan. Dengan demikian, nilai-nilai pendidikan Qur’ani menjadi dasar yang kuat dalam membentuk karakter manusia beriman, berilmu, dan berakhlak mulia di era modern.

Abstract

Effective communication plays an important role in human life, both personally and professionally. Many failures are caused by poor communication, such as a teacher's failure to transfer knowledge or a professional's failure to promote themselves. With the advancement of the digital world, communication ethics has become highly relevant, especially in addressing challenges such as the spread of hoaxes, hute speech, and cybercrime. This study uses a qualitative or literature review method. The aim of this research is to examine the application of communication ethics principles taught in the Qur'an, such as tabayyun (information clarification), qaulan sadidan (trutıful words), and gaulan ma'rufan (kind words), in the context of 21st-century digital communication, as well as the prohibitions against bad assumptions, ghibah (slander), and fitnah (spreading lies). The results of this study show that the communication ethics taught in the Qur'an are highly relevant and important to apply in 21st-century digital communication. Communication ethics principles in the Qur'an, such as qaulan sadidan (truthful words), qaulan ma' rufan (kind words), gaulan karima (noble words), qaulan ma isura (easy words), and gaulan layyina (gentle words), guide us to communicate in a polite, truthful, and respectful manner. In the digital world, these principles are highly relevant in facing challenges such as the spread of hoaxes, hate speech, and fitnah, which often occur on social media. The communication ethics in the Qur'an also emphasize the importance of tabayyun (information clarification), avoiding ghibah (slander), namimah (sowing discord), and fitnah (spreading false news). The application of these principles can help create more responsible digital communication, maintain social harmony, and prevent harm caused by false or damaging information.
