Abstract

Abu Yusuf (113–182 H/731–798 M) merupakan salah satu tokoh utama dalam perkembangan pemikiran ekonomi Islam klasik yang kontribusinya masih relevan hingga saat ini. Sebagai murid utama Abu Hanifah dan Qadhi al-Qudhat pada masa Dinasti Abbasiyah, Abu Yusuf banyak membahas persoalan ekonomi publik, khususnya terkait kebijakan fiskal, perpajakan, pengelolaan keuangan negara, dan keadilan distribusi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep-konsep ekonomi Islam menurut Abu Yusuf dengan menitikberatkan pada pandangannya mengenai pajak (kharaj), peran negara dalam perekonomian, serta prinsip keadilan dan kemaslahatan dalam pengelolaan sumber daya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui analisis terhadap karya utama Abu Yusuf Kitab al-Kharaj serta literatur pendukung dari jurnal dan buku ilmiah kontemporer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran ekonomi Abu Yusuf menekankan pentingnya peran negara sebagai pengelola yang amanah, penetapan pajak yang adil dan proporsional, serta perlindungan terhadap hak-hak masyarakat guna mendorong kesejahteraan dan stabilitas ekonomi. Pemikiran Abu Yusuf tidak hanya mencerminkan nilai-nilai normatif Islam, tetapi juga menawarkan kerangka kebijakan ekonomi yang rasional dan aplikatif bagi sistem ekonomi modern.

Abstract

The development of Qur'anic interpretation in the contemporary era shows a tendency to be increasingly responsive to current issues such as socio-political issues, feminism, and the ecological crisis. This article aims to analyze and compare the exegetical methodologies developed by Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern scholars over the past five years. Using a library study approach in reputable scientific journals, this study finds that Southeast Asian scholars tend to prioritize sociological contextual interpretations rooted in local realities, while Middle Eastern scholars emphasize the maqāṣid al sharī‘ah approach and critical hermeneutics. These differences demonstrate the epistemological diversity of contemporary exegesis and open up space for methodological dialogue between regions.

Abstract

This study examines the Qur’anic portrayal of the Jews (Bani Israil) and its relevance to the Palestine–Israel conflict. The research aims to analyze Qur’anic verses concerning Bani Israil through a thematic (maudhu‘i) tafsir approach and to relate them to the historical dynamics of the Palestine–Israel conflict. This study employs a qualitative methodology using thematic and historical-critical approaches, with the Qur’an as the primary source, supported by classical and medieval Qur’anic exegesis as well as modern historical studies. The findings indicate that the Qur’anic critique of Bani Israil is behavioral and moral in nature rather than an ethnic generalization, and that it bears relevance to the practices of Zionist ideology in the context of occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people.

Abstract

Mutu pendidikan madrasah masih menghadapi tantangan yang bersifat multidimensional, meliputi aspek pengelolaan lembaga, kompetensi sumber daya manusia, budaya mutu, serta kualitas layanan pendidikan. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan perlunya pendekatan manajemen yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan. Total Quality Management (TQM) dipandang sebagai salah satu konsep yang relevan karena menekankan perbaikan mutu secara menyeluruh dan berkesinambungan dalam seluruh komponen organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji problematika mutu madrasah serta menganalisis relevansi penerapan TQM dalam konteks pendidikan Islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah yang berkaitan dengan mutu pendidikan dan manajemen kualitas. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa persoalan mutu madrasah umumnya berkaitan dengan perencanaan yang belum optimal, peningkatan kompetensi pendidik yang masih diperlukan, keterbatasan sarana prasarana, serta belum kuatnya budaya mutu. Implementasi prinsip TQM melalui perbaikan berkelanjutan, kepemimpinan visioner, partisipasi seluruh warga madrasah, dan orientasi pada kepuasan pemangku kepentingan berpotensi menjadi strategi konseptual dalam meningkatkan mutu madrasah secara terarah dan selaras dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan Islam

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia faces increasingly complex challenges of globalization, including technological disruption, global human resource competition, and demands for the integration of Islamic values ​​with scientific advancements. This paper examines innovations in Islamic education resource management (SDPI) as an adaptive strategy to address these dynamics. Through a qualitative literature study approach with thematic content analysis, this study identifies SDPI management innovation concepts based on the maqasid sharia and digital transformation. The results indicate that key innovations include human resource development through technology-based continuous professional development, an integrative curriculum that eliminates the dichotomy between religious and general knowledge, and optimization of digital infrastructure. In the Indonesian context, particularly in Central Kalimantan, infrastructure challenges and the digital divide remain dominant, despite an increase in madrasah student access reaching 93,078 by 2025. The proposed innovation includes the “SIEM-MaqaTech” (Sustainable Islamic Education Management based on Maqasid and Technology) model that integrates spiritual values, 21st-century competencies, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. This research contributes controversially by enriching the contemporary Islamic education management framework and providing practical policy recommendations for madrasah administrators and local governments. Thus, Islamic education can remain relevant, competitive, and characterized by rahmatan lil 'alamin (blessing for the universe) in the era of globalization.

Abstract

Krisis keadilan dalam masyarakat kontemporer menunjukkan ketegangan antara konstruksi normatif keadilan dalam Islam dan realitas sosial yang sarat ketimpangan struktural. Dominasi paradigma legal-formal telah mereduksi keadilan menjadi prosedur hukum, sehingga mengabaikan dimensi etis dan spiritual sebagai fondasi transformasi sosial. Kesenjangan penelitian terletak pada belum adanya model konseptual yang mengintegrasikan tazkiyatun nafs dengan teori keadilan sosial secara sistematis, karena studi sebelumnya cenderung memisahkan tasawuf sebagai praktik individual dari agenda perubahan sosial. Artikel ini menggunakan pendekatan teoritis integratif yang menggabungkan tasawuf, teologi tauhid, dan filsafat sosial kritis untuk mereposisi keadilan sebagai etika transformatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif konseptual berbasis studi kepustakaan dengan analisis hermeneutik dan kritis terhadap sumber klasik dan literatur kontemporer bereputasi. Argumen utama artikel ini menegaskan bahwa keadilan substantif hanya dapat diwujudkan melalui transformasi kesadaran manusia yang berakar pada purifikasi diri (tazkiyatun nafs) dan internalisasi tauhid sebagai prinsip emansipatoris. Kontribusi ilmiah penelitian ini terletak pada pengembangan paradigma integratif yang menghubungkan dimensi spiritual dan struktural dalam satu kerangka konseptual yang koheren. Kebaruan penelitian ini adalah reinterpretasi tazkiyatun nafs sebagai metode transformatif yang tidak hanya membentuk individu saleh, tetapi juga mendorong perubahan sosial yang berkeadilan.

Abstract

This article departs from the epistemological and existential crisis in the study of religious texts, characterized by the dominance of interpretive monologues, the freezing of meaning, and the absence of ethical alignment with social reality. In this context, texts are often reduced to normative instruments detached from the dynamics of modern human suffering, thus failing to function as a living source of meaning. The research gap lies in the minimal integration between textual hermeneutics, the theology of alignments, and existential psychology approaches, which have developed separately without adequate conceptual synthesis. This article aims to reconstruct textual dialogue through an existential hermeneutic framework by integrating the theology of alignments with Viktor Frankl's thoughts on the will to meaning and the crisis of meaning (existential vacuum). This research uses a qualitative-philosophical approach based on literature review with hermeneutic-critical and interdisciplinary analysis. The article's main argument is that textual dialogue must be repositioned from a normative interpretative practice to an existential and alignmental praxis of meaning, by positioning the interpreter as an ethically responsible subject seeking meaning. Thus, the text is not only understood as a source of law, but as a liberating space for the transformation of meaning. This article's scholarly contribution is the formulation of an "existential-prophetic hermeneutics" model as a new theoretical framework that integrates the dimensions of meaning, partisanship, and praxis in contemporary Islamic studies. This model is expected to enrich the development of Islamic hermeneutics and bridge the crisis of meaning in modern religiosity.

Abstract

The epistemological crisis in contemporary Islamic theology is marked by a disconnect between the normative-doctrinal dimension and the existential experience of modern humans, causing theology to lose its transformative power in addressing the crises of meaning, alienation, and spiritual disorientation. Although various studies have sought to contextualize theology, most remain trapped in a descriptive-historical approach and have not yet addressed the integration between the transcendental and psychological dimensions of humanity. The research gap lies in the absence of a systematic conceptual formulation for integrating Islam-based theology rooted in tawhid with a humanistic-existential psychological approach, particularly the thought of Carl Rogers, which emphasizes subjective experience, self-awareness, and human actualization. This study aims to formulate a paradigm of transformative Islamic theology through the integration of tawhid as an ontological foundation with a humanistic-existential approach as a framework for subjective experience. The theoretical approach employed is interdisciplinary, combining Islamic theology, existential philosophy, and humanistic psychology. The research method employs a qualitative-conceptual approach with philosophical-critical and hermeneutic analysis of classical and contemporary literature. The main argument of this study is that Islamic theology will only be relevant if reconstructed as a living existential consciousness (living theology), not merely as a normative doctrine. The integration of tawhid and the humanistic approach yields a model of transformative theology capable of bridging the relationship between God and humanity in concrete experience. The scientific contribution of this study lies in the development of a new paradigm of Islamic theology that is integrative, existential, and transformative, while enriching interdisciplinary research in contemporary Islamic studies.
