Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of understanding the position and function of theory as well as literature reviews in qualitative research. The problem identified is a lack of understanding and effective application of theory and literature in various types of research, which can hamper the quality of research results. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of theory and literature in supporting methodological design, data collection and qualitative interpretation of research results. This research method takes the form of an in-depth literature review, referring to various theoretical and empirical sources regarding research methodology. This research explores how theory is used inductively in qualitative research to develop contextual understanding. The research results show that theory acts as a conceptual framework that helps researchers understand phenomena and develop targeted research designs. Additionally, literature reviews serve to identify research gaps, strengthen the validity of findings, and support the development of new insights. In conclusion, good integration of theory and literature will increase the validity and contribution of research to science.

Abstract

The study of Islamic ethics and moral philosophy has great significance in understanding the application of religious values and morality in individual and community life. In the Islamic tradition, ethics plays a role as a guide to behavior as well as a manifestation of the purpose of life to achieve happiness in the world and the hereafter that is blessed by Allah SWT. The concept of Islamic ethics is a concept that integrates the theory of obligation (deontology) and morality (morals). This concept integrates the theory of obligation (deontology) which focuses on moral rules and the theory of virtue (virtue ethics) which focuses on character development. This research aims to explore the relationship between the theories of obligation and virtue within the framework of Islamic ethics, as well as assess their relevance in addressing modern moral challenges, such as social justice, the environment, and politics. The approach used is qualitative with a literature study method, involving primary sources such as the Qur'an, Hadith, and classical Islamic literature, and comparing with Western moral theories. The results of the study show that Islamic ethics is holistic, uniting the obligations of Sharia with the development of noble morals. It offers flexible and universal moral guidance, is relevant to address global issues, and opens opportunities for constructive dialogue between Islamic ethics and contemporary moral philosophy.

Abstract

This study examines the role of parental upbringing in shaping children as Qur’an memorizers in Citeureup District, Bogor Regency. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, focusing on parental upbringing patterns in forming Qur’an memorizers in Puspasari village and Puspanegara sub-district, Citeureup District. Data sources were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing methods. The findings reveal that authoritarian and democratic parenting styles are the primary approaches implemented. The authoritarian style emphasizes discipline through strict rules, while the democratic style focuses on balancing freedom and emotional support. Both styles are effective with their respective strengths: the authoritarian style supports the achievement of memorization targets through discipline, whereas the democratic style fosters intrinsic motivation and harmonious relationships between parents and children. The study also found that selecting a parenting style must consider the child’s individual characteristics to achieve optimal results. Furthermore, proportional control and consistency in parenting application are key to successfully nurturing Qur’an memorizers. The implications of this research highlight the importance of collaboration between parents, teachers, and educational institutions in supporting Qur’an education processes. Recommendations are provided for parents to integrate authoritarian and democratic approaches flexibly, for educational institutions to provide Islamic parenting training, and for future researchers to explore the long-term impact of parenting on children’s education.

Abstract

The issue of students' insufficient performance in mathematics is a concern recognized by teachers. Consequently, educators are required to identify ways to address the challenges they encounter to enhance educational results. This study seeks to elevate the mathematics learning achievements of students. The research focuses on enhancing students' mathematics skills through a technique referred to as Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS). The SSCS method consists of four phases: search phase, completion phase, innovation phase, and sharing phase. This investigation is classified as action research conducted in the eighth grade of middle school. The participants in this study comprised 30 eighth-grade pupils, with the primary emphasis on their mathematics learning performance. The process of data analysis was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study indicate a significant enhancement in student outcomes, beginning with an average score of 68.5 before the first cycle, which increased to 81.56 in cycle I, and then to 89.23 in cycle II. Moreover, the percentage of students reaching the success level rose from 40% to 76% in cycle I, and further to 96% in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that implementing the Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) educational method has effectively improved students' learning performance.

Abstract

The community can become a partner for schools in preventing student delinquency that occurs outside of school. Schools often face problems with students' parents due to disharmonious relationships. Based on this background, it is concluded that education experiences obstacles in its implementation. Therefore, it is important to examine the role of the school committee in school-based management to realize educational progress as a shared concern. This research formulation is integrated with a case study at SDIT Al-Hidayah Bogor, using qualitative research with a case study approach through data collection in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the role of the SDIT Al-Hidayah committee in implementing school-based management has been well applied in accordance with government regulations and the AD/ART formulation towards "Indonesia Emas" (Golden Indonesia). The SDIT Al-Hidayah committee plays an important role in improving the quality of education at SDIT Al-Hidayah through the following aspects: a) Providing input in determining and implementing education policies at SDIT Al-Hidayah; b) Supporting the implementation of education at SDIT Al-Hidayah, both in terms of financial, intellectual, and labor resources; c) Acting as a controller to ensure transparency and accountability in the implementation and outcomes of education at Al-Hidayah; d) Mediating between the government and the community at SDIT Al-Hidayah.

Abstract

This study discusses innovations in technology-based Islamic education learning methods in the rapidly developing digital era. Technology has brought significant changes to the world of education, including in the delivery of Islamic education materials. This study aims to examine the implementation of technology-based learning methods such as e-learning, educational applications, and interactive media in improving students' understanding of Islamic values. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach in several Islamic educational institutions. Data were collected through observation, interviews with educators, and documentation analysis. The results of this study indicate that the use of technology in Islamic education learning can increase learning motivation, facilitate access to materials, and enrich more interesting and interactive delivery methods. However, challenges such as infrastructure readiness and teachers' digital competence need to be considered in implementing this method optimally. This study is expected to be a reference for educators in developing Islamic learning strategies that are relevant to the needs of the digital era.

Abstract

Generation Z faces various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression and stress. In this context, an Islamic guidance and counseling approach based on the Koran offers an innovative solution. This article discusses the application of Al-Quranic verses in addressing Gen Z mental health issues and proposes an effective Qur'anic approach for Islamic counselors in their practice. This approach shows significant potential in helping Gen Z deal with psychological distress through a strong spiritual foundation. This research method uses the literature review method. The research results show that the Qur'anic approach to Islamic guidance and counseling provides a holistic solution to the mental health challenges faced by Gen Z. By combining spiritual teachings from the Koran, such as tawakkul and tafakkur, with modern psychological methods such as CBT, Islamic counselors can offers comprehensive and balanced support between mental and spiritual aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies, steps, and contributions of learning management in enhancing the creativity and innovation of students at STAIN Sultan Abdurrahman Kepulauan Riau. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was used, employing observation, interviews, and documentation for data collection. The findings indicate that transformative learning has been effectively implemented through planning, organizing, execution, and evaluation. Enhancing students' creativity and innovation is supported by appreciating new ideas, focusing on intrinsic motivation, encouraging critical thinking, and providing adequate time for exploration. Transformative learning significantly contributes by fostering critical, creative, and innovative thinking among students while also motivating lecturers to improve their teaching. Thus, transformative learning management plays a crucial role in enhancing students' academic quality.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Surah Yunus verse 5 from the perspective of mathematics and modern science, highlighting the order of the sun and moon as a time-measuring system. This verse explains the astronomical role of these celestial bodies, which serve as the foundation for lunar and solar calendar systems in human civilization. Using a qualitative approach, this research integrates tafsir analysis, literature review, and philosophical reflection to interpret the cosmic order established by Allah. The findings indicate that the verse aligns with modern scientific principles, including the laws of gravity and orbital cycles, demonstrating a systematic structure in the universe. This order not only serves as evidence of Allah's greatness but also teaches the importance of time consciousness as a divine blessing that must be utilized wisely. Furthermore, the study affirms that the integration of science and spirituality in the Qur’an contributes to scientific and educational advancements. Thus, this research reinforces the Qur’an’s relevance as a timeless source of knowledge that continues to inspire both scientific understanding and spiritual life.

Abstract

This study analyzes educational innovations in pesantren to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) on quality education while preserving traditional values. The study aims to identify modernization strategies aligned with local wisdom to ensure effective innovation without compromising pesantren identity. The research employs a systematic literature review of six relevant studies discussing life skills integration, flexible curricula, digitalization, and the utilization of digital waqf in pesantren education. The findings reveal that pesantren education innovations include digital literacy implementation, student entrepreneurship development, and technology adoption in learning. However, key challenges include infrastructure limitations, human resource readiness, and cultural resistance to change. This study concludes that a data-driven approach is essential in curriculum design, strengthening digital infrastructure, and developing an evaluation system that balances modernization with traditional values. With the right strategies, pesantren can continue contributing to quality education that remains relevant in contemporary times.
