Abstract

Speaking is the most important skill among the four language skill in order to communicate well in this globalized world, especially speaking in English. The data collected by the researcher shows that there are some problems with learning speaking skills. Some of these problems are, students lack confidences in speaking English, students have difficulty in pronouncing English correctly, students are lazy to memorize English vocabulary, and students are less interested in learning English. learn English. With the problems faced by these students, in 2020 the MTs ja-alhaq school launched a pocket book for foreign language conversations which was used as an aid medium in learning students' speaking skills. This conversation pocket book is used during the foreign language development institute program. Foreign language development institutes are programs that study foreign languages. The result from this study is the application of an English conversation pocket book in teaching speaking skills in class VIII MTs Ja-Alhaq the English conversation pocket book has a positive response because it really help the teacher and students in the process of leaning a foreign language, especially English, even though the teacher has obstacles in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to to find out the significant effect of using Instagram assisted vlogging which was focused on speaking. The research design in this research was quasi experimental research. The instrument to collect the data was test by oral test. The strategy taken sample used is purposive sampling to determine the control and the experimental class. In addition, there were pre-test, treatment or teaching and post-test in both of the class. It was conducted at the twelfth grade of MAN 1 Kota Bengkulu. The result showed that are average value of pre-test in the control class was 36,80, while the experimental class was 42,40. Then the average value of the post-test control class 44,00, while the experimental class is 60,27. Based on the result hypothesis testing shows that the value of Sig. (2 tailed) obtained is 0.49 (0.49 > 0.05). This is indicated that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the using Instagram assisted Vlogging in improving students’ speaking ability.

Abstract

Based on researcher observation, the students may be confused about what to speak although they know the topic which has been given by their teachers. They are confused to speak their ideas about the topic. They tend to difficult to memorizing vocabulary and error grammar because they do not interest in English learning. So, based on the students’ problem that they are faced, the writer wants to apply games in teaching English especially teaching speaking. The objective of the research is to see whether there is a significant effect of the use of pantomime game media on the speaking ability of the students. Based on the findings of research conducted in class VII at Junior High School Number 20 Bengkulu Selatan in Academic Year 2021/2022, the researcher can draw the following conclusions : 1) The average score in experimental class that used Pantonime Games is 76.2; while in the control class that only used teaching material derived from printed books without any auxiliary media and strategies are 74.5. Thus, it can be said that the experiment class showed a higher average result than the average score in the control class. 2) Pantonime Games to improving Students’ Speaking ability indicated by scores they get and from students’ responses to three meetings teach activities. It can be concluded that students enjoy the Pantonime Games. So, the researcher concludes that there is an effect on the Speaking Ability who teaches using Pantonime Games. This indicates that the research question has been answered.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of conventional methods in learning the history of Islamic culture in PP. Darunnajah Al-Barokah. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data analysis using data reduction steps, displaying data and drawing conclusions by collecting data using observation, interviews, and documentation. Darunnajah Al-Barokah, so students seem bored and boring. The History of Islamic Culture is a story of the past which is the result of creation, work and human initiative guided by Islamic teachings. Learning the history of Islamic culture is very important because by understanding history properly and correctly, Muslims can reflect to take many lessons and correct deficiencies or mistakes in order to achieve glory and glory in this world and the hereafter. However, students in PP. Darunnajah Al-Barokah uses conventional learning methods, there are still many students who do not understand the material explained by the teacher. Students who do not understand the history of Islamic culture learning are 80% of the 30 students, and only 20% of the students already understand.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the views of students in implementing ASYNCHRONOUS online learning during the pandemic and what factors hinder the difficulties of teachers and students in using the ASYNCHRONOUS method in learning English during the covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is qualitative. The sample of this study consisted of 8th-grade students at SMPN 14 Bengkulu City. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews with class representatives via WhatsApp media, and giving questionnaires. This study shows that there are factors in technical difficulties when learning online using the ASYNCHRONOUS method, namely internal factors, and external factors. The solution to this problem requires an approach, motivation, support, and supervision from parents to students, so it is estimated that teachers and schools can increase creativity in presenting subject matter. Good interaction and communication between teachers, students, and parents are expected to increase students' motivation and interest in learning English during the current covid-19 pandemic. Abstract

Online learning uses technology to help students and teachers with distance learning, with teachers who provide teaching materials that are easily accessible.This study aims to describe the implementation of learning carried out by teachers by using synchronous and asynchronous such as Google Meet, Google Classroom, and Whats App. This research was designed as a descriptive qualitative study using interview. The subjects of this study were teachers at SMA N 1 Bengkulu Tengah. Data analysis was carried out using the data proposed by Miles and Huberman to collect data. The results showed that online learners had barriers namely poor networks, the quality of mobile phones that did not support the students themselves and the capacity of the application used in online learning.

Abstract

This study is about students who have some problems speaking English. This study was carried out at SMAN 09 Bengkulu. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that affect the effectiveness of students in learning English skills. The design of this study used a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were students of SMAN 09 Bengkulu, class XI. Research data were collected using observation and in-depth interviews. Observations were made by researchers with English subject teachers for eight meetings to observe students' English-speaking skills in class with four factors assessed: shyness, anxiety, confidence, and motivation with aspects of the assessment including very good, good, quite good, not good, and bad, while the interviews were conducted with 20 11th-grade students of SMAN 09 Bengkulu, the results showed that students experienced several problems that were influenced by psychological factors in speaking English, such as shyness, anxiety, lack of confidence, and lack of motivation. These issues are drawn from the factors that have the greatest influence on students, namely these four factors. This is because when one of these factors affects students, other factors appear so that the four factors are interrelated and affect the students' psychology. Most of the students admitted that they were afraid to speak because they could not pronounce it. Most of them are afraid of making mistakes, so they feel unable to try to speak English. English as a foreign language (EFL) for students is something new to learn and use in their environment, so it has many influences, such as psychological factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh game online free fire terhadap perilaku dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP N 8 Kaur. Game online ini mempengaruhi perilaku siswa dan terganggunya aktivitas belajar baik dirumah maupun di sekolah. Diantaranya memuat siswa menjadi malas belajar, tidak konsentrasi, kurang tidur, dan malas melakukan aktivitas lain. Sehingga dapat merubah pola perilaku dan menyebabkan turunya prestasi akademik di seklah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dimana analisis datanya diproses dengan menggunakan statistika dengan dibantu aplikasi pengolahan data yaitu SPSS16. Populasi yang diambil dalam penelitian iini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP N 8 Kaur berjumlah 140 siswa, yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 29 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan peneliti yaitu metode kuisioner atau angket, observasi, nilai raport dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Penelitian menyimpulkan pengaruh perhitungan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan game online free fire yang tinggi dapat mempengaruhi perilaku dan prestasi belajar siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan besarnya Thitung 857 > 2,052 Ttabel dengan nilai signifikan 0,000 < 0,05 atau dengan dengan kaidah keputusan Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima artinya game online free fire berpengaruh terhadap perilaku siswa. sedangkan, pada persamaan lainnya besarnya Thitung 3,722 > 2,052 Ttabel dengan nilai signifikasi 0,000 < 0,05 atau dapat diartikan game online free fire mempengaruhi prestasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that influence the implementation of the school's vision and mission in the learning process and teacher performance. This study employed a survey with quantitative methods. Data collection techniques used included observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The sample consisted of all teachers at MTs Qaryatul Jihad, Pondok Kubang Village, Pondok Kubang District, Central Bengkulu Regency. The results indicate that the implementation of the vision and mission at MTs Qaryatul Jihad, Pondok Kubang Village, Pondok Kubang District, Central Bengkulu Regency, can be categorized as high, with a score of 48, ranging from 46.47 to 60.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi peningkatan kecerdasan spiritual siswa di SMPN 35 Berasrama Kaur dan untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat dalam meningkatan kecerdasan spiritual siswa di SMPN 35 Berasrama Kaur. Metode dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat diskriptif. Waktu dan tempat penelitian ini yaitu bertempat di desa Gedung Sako II Kec. Kaur Tengah Kab. Kaur yang dilaksanakan pada tanggal 23 Juli S/D 6 Seftember. Data dan sumber data yaitu data primer dan data sekunder, Tekhnik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Tekhnik Keabsahan data pada penelitian ini yaitu mengunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi tekhnik. Tekhnik analisis data yaitu menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data dan verifikasi data. Adapun Hasil dari penelitian yaitu menyimpulka bahwa strategi dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual terhadap siswa di SMPN 35 Berasrama Kaur yaitu, 1. Mengutamakan adab dari pada ilmu (fauqul i’lim) artinya adab lebih diutamakan dari pada ilmu 2. Menjadi teladan (uswatun hasanah) yaitu memberikan contoh yang baik dari segala aspek 3. Pembiasaan, dengan adanya pembiasaan maka akan terbentuk dalam dirinya zaukiyah atau perasaan atau iman yang kuat yang terpancar dihatinya, 4. Nasehat, nasehat yang dilakukan baik secara berkelompok seperti kegiatan kuliah subuh ataupun secara individu. Faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual terhadap siswa yaitu, 1. Faktor pendukung a). Lingkungan, lingkungan yang kondusif dapat memberi ketenangan bagi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan belajar b). Adanya program-program keagamaan yang terstruktur yang mengharuskan anak-anak untuk mengikutinya. 2. Faktor penghamabat a). Latar belakang pendidikan, siswa/siswi yang masuk di SMPN 35 Berasrama Kaur sewaktu di Sekolah Dasar (SD) bukannya siswa/siswi yang intelektual b). keterpaksaan, tempat tinggal siswa yang jauh dari sekolah membuat mereka mengharuskan bersekolah di SMPN 35 Berasrama Kaur.
