Abstract

This study aims to explore the differentiation strategies employed by creative entrepreneurs in improving customer experience in the domestic culinary service industry, with Makaroni Ngehe as a case. The research process utilizes the qualitative descriptive methodology by employing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies on customers who have been selected with the purposive sampling method. The results show that sensory features (colour, aroma, touch, flavour), quality of packaging of the product, and ease of availability online all play an important role in creating positive consumer perceptions. The SWOT analysis shows that strengths are product quality and loyalty of customers, and weaknesses are product shelf life after opening and lack of interest among consumers in nutrition facts. Brief discussion confirms that customer experience-based differentiation strategies have the potential to create a strong brand identity, increase competitiveness, and keep up with changing local food trends. The result of this study reveals that Makaroni Ngehe has managed to apply creativity, innovation, and consumer behavior knowledge in maintaining its business existence. The contribution of this study is expected to be practically and theoretically significant in establishing innovative marketing strategies and improving the competitiveness of Indonesian culinary MSMEs.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the adaptation strategies of KUD Sarwa Mukti in facing global changes, market challenges, and technological developments. The main focus of the research is how local cooperatives can maintain their relevance and achieve business sustainability amidst constantly changing economic dynamics. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with cooperative management and members, direct observation of operational activities, and analysis of documents such as financial reports and cooperative work programs. The results show that KUD Sarwa Mukti implements several key adaptation strategies, namely diversification of products and services, utilization of digital technology, strengthening partnerships, and improving human resource quality. Diversification is carried out by expanding business from the agricultural sector to savings and loan units and the distribution of basic necessities. Digital technology is utilized for promotion through social media and transaction recording. In addition, partnerships with various parties help expand the cooperative's network and business opportunities. Other important factors are visionary leadership and active member participation. Strong leadership enables fast and precise decision-making, while member involvement ensures that policies made are in accordance with common needs. Cooperative values such as gotong royong are maintained and become a strength in facing changes. In conclusion, KUD Sarwa Mukti is an example of a cooperative that has successfully adapted effectively in the era of disruption and can be a model for other cooperatives in Indonesia in facing the challenges of the times.

Abstract

This study examines the increasing significance of creative entrepreneurship among adolescents by concentrating on distro T-shirt design as a strategic mechanism for its advancement. Distro T-shirts were selected due to their substantial market attractiveness and potential as a vehicle for creative expression with considerable economic significance within the youth demographic. The research was carried out at Second Eight, a community dedicated to nurturing young talent in graphic design and local fashion entrepreneurship. A qualitative methodological approach was adopted, drawing on data from observations of contemporary design trends, comprehensive interviews with distro business proprietors, and an extensive literature review regarding creative entrepreneurship. The results indicate that T-shirt designs that incorporate elements of local identity, social issues, and youth culture can effectively foster engagement and interest in the creative business realm among adolescents. This process not only refines graphic design abilities but also develops skills in digital marketing and independent business management. The study’s SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS analyses further reveal that, despite obstacles such as constrained financial resources and managerial expertise, the brand retains substantial internal strengths and external opportunities for prosperity. In conclusion, the design of distro T-shirts functions as an effective pedagogical instrument for character formation, innovation, and economic empowerment, ultimately nurturing a new generation of creative, autonomous, and sustainable entrepreneurs. This research illustrates a feasible model for leveraging youth creativity to stimulate local innovation and enhance the growth of the creative economy in Indonesia.

Abstract

In this article, I explore the intersection between Islamic economics and employment, in particular focusing on how its principles can address global employment challenges while driving social justice and economic efficiency. I argue that the integration of wealth redistribution mechanisms, ethical finance, and skills development can create inclusive employment opportunities that improve social equality and overall economic productivity. By analyzing the role of Zakat and Waqf in creating jobs, I show how Islamic financial principles such as profit sharing and partnerships can encourage sustainable employment practices. Furthermore, I investigated the importance of skills development through Islamic education initiatives in encouraging the formation of human resources. My findings suggest that Islamic economic frameworks have significant potential to address contemporary employment issues while advancing broader social justice and sustainability goals.

Abstract

In dynamic market environments, culture-based small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face the challenge of transforming local cultural identity into sustainable marketing performance. Although regiocultural branding enhances brand differentiation and authenticity, prior marketing studies often treat it as a static symbolic asset, offering limited explanation of how cultural values remain relevant under market change. Drawing on the dynamic capability perspective, this study develops and tests a process-based model explaining how regiocultural branding is transformed into sustainable marketing performance through dynamic marketing capabilities. Survey data from 200 owners or managers of culture-based SMEs were analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-AMOS). The results show that regiocultural branding positively affects dynamic marketing capabilities, which in turn significantly enhance sustainable marketing performance. Dynamic marketing capabilities partially mediate the relationship between regiocultural branding and sustainable marketing performance. This study reconceptualises regiocultural branding as a trigger for dynamic capability development rather than a static identity asset and extends the dynamic capability perspective to culture-based SME marketing in developing countries.
