Abstract

Objective: This study investigates the application of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in adopting Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS) and related healthcare technologies from 2020 to 2025. Method: Through a systematic literature review, 20 studies were analyzed to identify key factors influencing HIMS adoption, barriers, facilitators, and their impact on healthcare service quality and patient satisfaction. Results: Perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) consistently emerged as critical determinants of acceptance, underscoring the importance of user-friendly, functional designs. Privacy concerns, resistance to change, and inadequate training were identified as significant barriers, while organizational support, trust-building measures, and personalization facilitated adoption. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the adoption of telehealth and IoT solutions, highlighting the role of external factors in driving acceptance. However, sustaining long-term engagement requires robust security measures, adaptive technologies, and standardization of evaluation metrics. Novelty: This study offers actionable insights for healthcare administrators and policymakers to optimize HIMS adoption, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Objective: This research aims to explore the literature on the role of Human Resources (HR) within organizations, particularly in the context of new generations such as Generation Z. This study also seeks to analyze the relationship between Quality of Work Life (QWL), Emotional Intelligence (EI), and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Method: This research employs a literature review approach to analyze secondary data from existing studies, articles, and reports. The data are categorized and summarized to understand how Quality of Work Life (QWL) and Emotional Intelligence (EI) impact Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among Gen-Z workers. The study aims to identify patterns, gaps, and insights to help organizations foster OCB in Gen-Z employees across various settings. Results: Both Quality of Work Life (QWL) and Emotional Intelligence (EI) significantly influence Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among Gen Z workers. A positive QWL, including fair compensation, a supportive environment, and work-life balance, motivates Gen Z employees to go beyond basic job expectations. High EI enhances OCB by helping employees manage emotions, fostering better interpersonal relationships, teamwork, job satisfaction, and increased productivity. Novelty: The novelty of this research lies in its focus on the emerging Generation Z in the workplace, exploring how their distinct characteristics and expectations interact with key organizational factors like Quality of Work Life (QWL), Emotional Intelligence (EI), and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). While existing studies have explored these individual factors, this research brings a fresh perspective by examining how they collectively impact employee performance and well-being in the modern, multigenerational workplace.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the relationship between competence, organizational commitment, and the sustainability of Joint Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDESMA) in Jember Regency. Method: Using a quantitative explanatory research approach, data were collected from 104 core managers of 26 BUMDESMA through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4. Results: The findings reveal that competence significantly influences both organizational commitment and BUMDESMA sustainability, with commitment serving as a critical mediating variable. The adjusted R² values demonstrate the robustness of the model, with competence explaining 49.1% of organizational commitment variation and competence and commitment together explaining 84.7% of sustainability variation. These results emphasize the importance of enhancing managerial skills and fostering organizational commitment through targeted training and leadership strategies to achieve long-term sustainability. Novelty: Practical implications suggest that policymakers should integrate competence development with initiatives to strengthen commitment and collaboration among stakeholders. Future research is recommended to explore additional factors, such as technological innovation and funding accessibility, to provide a more comprehensive understanding of BUMDESMA sustainability.

By understanding these factors, it is hoped that it can contribute to the development of a more effective marketing strategy for Sari Roti, as well as providing a better understanding of student consumer behavior. The targets to be achieved in this research are to contribute new knowledge in the field of marketing, especially regarding the factors that influence purchasing decisions for snack products among students, provide recommendations to the Sari Roti company regarding more effective marketing strategies to increase sales of its products, especially students, and test and develop existing theories related to the influence of marketing variables on consumer behavior. Method: This research uses quantitative research with a causal approach to test the independent variables (digital marketing, product quality, and brand image) against the dependent variable (purchasing decisions). The causal approach was chosen because it aims to determine the causal relationship between these variables. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 300 respondents. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. Results: The research results show that digital marketing does not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, product quality does not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions, and brand image has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. Novelty: This research provides new insights into the effectiveness of marketing strategies for snack products among students, particularly in understanding the limited impact of digital marketing and product quality while emphasizing the role of brand image in purchasing decisions.
