Abstract

Sexual violence is an act involving sexual coercion or harassment against someone without their consent. Bullying is aggressive behavior that is carried out repeatedly by one individual or a group of individuals with the aim of hurting, degrading, or intimidating the victim. Sexual violence and bullying often occur in school environments. Children and adolescents are vulnerable to being victims or perpetrators of these acts. However, due to the taboo nature of this issue, many cases go unreported so existing statistics may not reflect the true numbers. Sexual violence and bullying in schools have serious impacts on victims, including psychological trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, decreased academic performance, and even a high risk of suicide. An unsafe school environment can also affect the entire student population, hindering their learning and social development. Some factors that contribute to sexual violence and bullying in schools include institutional indifference to reporting and action, lack of awareness and adequate education, power imbalances, detrimental social norms, and negative media influences. Preventing sexual violence and bullying in schools requires collaboration between students, teachers, parents, school staff, and the community. This shared responsibility is essential to protecting children and adolescents from physical and psychological harm. With proper education, social support, and proactive action, we can create safe, inclusive, and supportive school environments for all individuals.

Abstract

One of the problems that is often faced by Land and Building Taxpayers (PBB-P2) in paying taxes is the amount of PBB-P2 payments owed. To be able to find out the amount of the outstanding PBB-P2 payment, it is necessary to understand the tax subject, tax object, tax object exemption, and the PBB-P2 rate owed. Through Community Service, it is hoped that the Village Head as a Taxpayer can understand the amount of payments that must be paid to the outstanding PBB-P2 and provide socialization to the villagers so that taxpayers from various villages in Tegal Regency can obey in paying PBB-P2. Thus, through this service, it will provide understanding to the participants to be able to pay tax arrears and be obedient in paying taxes afterwards. The target of this service is the Village Head of Tegal Regency. This activity will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 09.00 WIB until it is finished. The results of the service activities showed that there was an increase in understanding of PBB-P2 tax subjects, tax objects, exemptions for PBBP2 tax objects, filling out tax object notification letters (SPOP) to the calculation of urban rural land and building taxes (PBB-P2) and the taxes collected could be implemented properly.

Abstract

Children's interests and talents are two very important things to develop from an early age. Both can be the foundation for children's future development, both in academic and non-academic fields. One effective method to explore children's interests and talents is through role-playing. This method is not only fun for children, but also full of educational benefits. Exploring children's talents and understanding their potential from an early age is the key to helping them grow and develop optimally. Children have their own world full of curiosity and uniqueness, through observation and deep understanding of their responses and behavior. We can find valuable clues about the interests and talents they are born with. Providing freedom to explore and the opportunity to try various activities is an effective way to help children find their own interests and talents. This process is not only about finding a particular talent but also about building self-confidence and the ability to adapt to various situations. In the role-playing method, the themes that can be given are themes that are close to the child's world, such as family and profession through these themes, role-playing will be more effective because children know and directly play the characters they will play and children will interact with other friends. So that social development can be honed to the maximum.

Abstract

Polongbangkeng Utara, a region in Takalar Regency, is known for its agricultural production, particularly rice and yellow corn. However, despite its potential, corn has traditionally been sold only in its raw kernel form, limiting the economic benefits for local farmers. To address this issue, there is a pressing need to educate the community on processing and marketing corn-based products through Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by leveraging digital social media platforms. This community service initiative aims to enhance local knowledge on optimizing yellow corn utilization to increase income, develop applications to support yellow corn production, assist start-ups in yellow corn agribusiness, and provide training on utilizing marketplaces and e-marketing strategies through Android-based applications. Additionally, it seeks to diversify corn-based products, introduce innovative product designs, and offer interactive media and training modules for corn processing. The initiative received a highly positive response from the Biralle Kunyi farmer group and State Junior High School (SMP) Negeri 4 Polongbangkeng Utara, the program's target groups. Implemented in two phases, the program successfully improved the knowledge and technical skills of participants in processing yellow corn into value-added food products and effectively marketing them via social media. As a result, the digitalization process was optimized, significantly supporting the promotion and commercialization of processed yellow corn products, thereby contributing to the region’s economic growth.

Abstract

This study examines the transformative role of Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Kunir in fostering socio-economic development within its surrounding community. By implementing empowerment programs that integrate students (santri) and local residents, the pesantren not only serves as an educational institution but also as a catalyst for sustainable economic growth. Through job creation, vocational training, and cooperative development, the pesantren enhances local livelihoods while fostering self-reliance. Key initiatives include hiring local labor in agriculture, construction, and livestock management, as well as operating cooperatives that supply essential goods to both the pesantren and the broader community. Moreover, entrepreneurial training has empowered local residents to establish and sustain small businesses, reducing economic dependency and promoting financial resilience. The findings reveal a significant socio-economic impact, demonstrating how pesantren-based initiatives can serve as scalable models for community-driven development. Strengthening partnerships with government agencies and private sectors could further amplify these impacts, ensuring long-term economic sustainability. This study contributes to the discourse on the role of Islamic educational institutions in community empowerment, offering insights for policymakers and development practitioners seeking to integrate religious institutions into broader socio-economic frameworks.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (Islamic boarding schools) currently encounter significant challenges in remaining relevant amid the swift evolution of information technology, while at the same time upholding religious and moral values. One pressing issue is the need for increased transparency in managing information, especially as digital transformation becomes inevitable. This study examines the efforts of Pondok Buntet Islamic Boarding School Cirebon in embracing digital tools to enhance governance transparency. The primary objective is to analyze how Islamic boarding schools manage information openness in the context of modernization and to explore strategies adopted by Pondok Buntet Pesantren in navigating these changes. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with pesantren administrators and direct field observations. Findings indicate that the pesantren has initiated steps toward an information openness framework, primarily focusing on transparency in religion and community-related activities. Nonetheless, limitations such as inadequate access to technology and the absence of standardized regulations continue to hinder broader implementation. The study concludes by recommending the development of more comprehensive and accessible information systems within Islamic boarding schools to strengthen institutional accountability and transparency in the digital era.

Abstract

Sidoarjo is a city with over 171,000 MSME units, reflecting significant economic potential. However, maximizing this potential requires a strategic approach, particularly through business legality facilitated by the Business Identification Number (NIB). NIB not only provides access to financing but also strengthens consumer trust, expands market opportunities, and fosters collaborations with larger businesses. This study aimed to socialize and assist MSME actors in Gemurung Village, Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency, in understanding and managing NIB through the Online Single Submission (OSS) system developed by the Indonesian government. The methods applied included direct observation, educational sessions, and hands-on assistance in the NIB registration process. The results demonstrate that business legality through NIB significantly enhances MSME competitiveness and scalability. Several assisted business actors successfully obtained NIB and experienced increased consumer trust, broader market reach, and improved business prospects. This initiative serves as a replicable model for other regions, ultimately strengthening the national economy by integrating MSMEs into the formal business ecosystem.
