Abstract

This study, conducted by Naidah, Linda Arisanti Razak, and Nasruddin from Muhammadiyah University of Makassar, investigates the impact of Green Accounting and Public Share Ownership on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure among property, real estate, and building construction companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2020-2021. Employing a quantitative approach and purposive sampling, 19 companies were selected for analysis. Green Accounting, assessed through environmental cost disclosure, demonstrated a significant positive influence on CSR disclosure, emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility for building a positive corporate reputation. In contrast, Public Share Ownership, measured by the percentage of shares owned by the public (<5%), did not exhibit a significant effect on CSR disclosure, challenging expectations of increased public ownership leading to more extensive CSR reporting. The study underscores the pivotal role of environmental considerations, as reflected in Green Accounting practices, in shaping CSR disclosure within the examined sector. In the globalized context, companies are encouraged to contribute meaningfully to economic, social, and environmental aspects. The property, real estate, and building construction sector, crucial for economic growth, highlights the significance of aligning corporate practices with environmental responsibility. Recommendations for future research include expanding the study with additional CSR-related variables and exploring other sub-sectors. Incorporating variables like company size and profitability for comparative analyses is suggested. Companies within the sector are advised to prioritize and enhance CSR disclosure for long-term sustainability and positive stakeholder perceptions.

Poverty is a multifaceted problem that impacts people's lives in many ways, such as socio-cultural, educational, religious, and economic. Poverty has increased as a result of the COVID-19 epidemic in various countries, including Indonesia. The Indonesian government has responded by introducing a number of social assistance initiatives to help those affected by the pandemic. The purpose of this study is to assess how well social assistance programs are helping the underprivileged maintain their financial stability during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study, conducted in Binjai City, Indonesia, centered on the Direct Cash Transfer (BLT) initiative. The findings of this study show that the social assistance program had a beneficial and lasting impact on the local economy of Binjai City. Increases in community consumption, demand for goods and services, production, employment, and economic growth demonstrate this.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing how much social inequality occurs between Aceh province and North Sumatra province. The method in collecting and processing data uses descriptive qualitative, where the data obtained is described through graphs as a measure of inequality. The samples in this study are; Human Development Index, Net Income and poverty. The results of this study are 1) The Human Development Index is at an unequal point where North Sumatra province is below Aceh province. 2) Through the net income graph, North Sumatra province is dominantly higher than Aceh province. 3) The poverty index of Aceh province is greater than that of North Sumatra province. 4) Through the processed data, North Sumatra province has superior inequality than Aceh province with two samples that are larger. Based on this research, the author makes a suggestion for the government to increase the policy of increasing employment for regions that do not have large revenues, and pay more attention to the efficiency of fiscal policies that have a direct impact on poverty.

Abstract

Trade policy significantly influences the regulation of export goods and economic growth within a country. This study examines the impact of Indonesia's nickel ore export ban policy on its economic growth. The research highlights the role of trade policy in fostering domestic industry development, increasing added value, and addressing trade imbalances. However, the policy has also led to international trade conflicts, particularly with the European Union. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with time-series data, this study finds that the export ban positively affected Indonesia's economic performance, evidenced by an increase in ferro-nickel and iron-steel export volumes and GDP growth trends from 2021 to 2023. Despite its benefits, the policy poses risks such as rising nickel prices and potential market loss. To mitigate these, the government must enhance domestic production, improve the competitiveness of downstream products, and engage in effective economic diplomacy. This research underscores the dynamic interplay between trade policies and global economic challenges, offering valuable insights for policymakers.

Abstract

This article examines the impact of migration and labor movement on the Indonesian economy, highlighting key areas such as economic growth, employment, consumer spending, and remittances from migrant workers. Labor migration has been a significant aspect of Indonesia’s economic structure, affecting both the domestic labor market and the broader economic landscape. The article explores how the outflow of Indonesian workers abroad influences employment dynamics, with some sectors benefiting from reduced domestic competition, while others experience labor shortages. Additionally, remittances from migrant workers play a crucial role in boosting household income, contributing to consumer spending, and stimulating local economies in various regions. The study also delves into the Indonesian government's policies and initiatives aimed at managing labor migration, including the protection of migrant workers' rights, improving workforce skills, and addressing challenges related to illegal migration. By analyzing the multifaceted impacts of labor migration, this article provides a comprehensive understanding of its role in shaping Indonesia's economic development. The findings suggest that while labor migration offers significant benefits through remittances and economic growth, challenges such as labor exploitation and brain drain require effective policy responses to maximize the positive impacts on the national economy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the variable capital, length of business, and working hours, on the income of street vendors in Kelok Sembilan. This type of research is a quantitative research, namely a study that aims to obtain evidence of a hypothesis. Data collection was carried out by means of interviews and questionnaires as well as direct observation. The samples used were 40 street vendors with Roscoe's theory In analyzing used multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the study show that by testing the regression coefficient partially (t test) with α = 5%, it shows that based on the t test results table above, it can be seen that based on the significance value (Sig.) of the capital variable of 0.061 > probability 0.05, it can be said that there is no the influence between the capital variable and the income variable, the length of business variable is 0.011 <probability 0.05, it can be said that there is an influence between the length of business variable on income. Judging from the working hours variable, the significant value (Sig.) 0.036 > probability 0.05 means that there is an influence between the working hours variable and income. Based on the results of the regression in the table, it shows the influence of the variables Capital (X1), length of business (X2), and working hours (X3), on the income of street vendors (Y) with a calculated F value of 2.86626 with a significance of 0.005 which is smaller than the level the significance used in this study is 0.05 (0.005 <0.05). This shows that the three independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on the dependent variable. Based on the results of research that has been done, it is suggested: the income of street vendor entrepreneurs can be increased by increasing business capital, increasing the length of business, and increasing working hours.
