Abstract

This research explores the schools and paradigms of thought of classical Muslim figures regarding education in Islam, with a focus on Ibn Sina, Al-Farabi, and Al-Ghazali. Each figure makes a significant contribution to understanding education. Ibn Sina emphasized a holistic approach, where education aims to develop moral, physical and intellectual aspects in a balanced manner. Al-Farabi linked education to philosophy, emphasizing the important role of the state in creating an education system that supports individual and societal happiness. Meanwhile, Al-Ghazali focuses on moral and spiritual education, emphasizing that the main goal of education is the formation of character and closeness to God. These findings show that the thinking of this classical figure remains relevant in the context of modern education, where an approach is needed that not only prioritizes intellectual aspects, but also moral and spiritual aspects. This research is expected to contribute to the development of more holistic and sustainable Islamic education.

Abstract

Technology has had a significant impact on the world of education, including Islamic education in Indonesia. Through technology, access to sources of Islamic knowledge has become easier, especially with the existence of e-learning platforms, digital applications and social media. Technology also supports the teaching and learning process, accelerates the distribution of teaching materials, and increases interactivity between teachers and students. However, technology also presents challenges, such as dependence on digital devices and the potential for spreading information that is not in accordance with Islamic teachings. In the context of Islamic education, the importance of digital literacy becomes increasingly crucial to ensure that technology is used wisely and remains in line with Islamic values. This research aims to analyze the positive and negative impacts of implementing technology in Islamic education in Indonesia, as well as providing recommendations for educators and policy makers so that they can utilize technology optimally.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of contextual learning on student learning outcomes at MTs Al-Muttaqien Balikpapan. Considering that the choice of method in the education process is very influential, this research examines how the level of success of a method can influence student learning outcomes. The method used is associative quantitative research with linear regression analysis techniques. Data was obtained through distributing questionnaires filled in by 32 students, with instruments using a Likert scale. The normality test shows that the data is normally distributed, while the reliability test shows that the Cronbach's Alpha value is above 0.60, indicating the consistency of the measuring instrument. The results of linear regression analysis show that contextual learning has a significant positive effect on student learning outcomes, with an R Square value of 0.279. This means that 27.9% of the variation in student learning outcomes can be explained by contextual learning. The F test shows a sig value of 0.002 < 0.05, which indicates a significant relationship between the two variables. This research concludes that contextual learning can improve student learning outcomes significantly. It is recommended that schools pay attention to aspects of choosing learning methods to maximize student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning is a complex process that involves a person physically and mentally throughout his life. The learning process occurs because of the interaction between a person and his environment. Therefore, learning can occur anytime and anywhere. One sign that a person is said to have experienced a learning process is a change in behavior in that person which includes changes in the level of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The interactions that occur during the learning process are influenced by the environment, which includes students, teachers, librarians, principals, learning materials (books, modules, magazines, video or audio recordings, etc.) and various learning resources and facilities (overhead projectors, radio, television, computers, libraries, etc.). In the teaching and learning process, the presence of media has a fairly important meaning. Because in these activities, the ambiguity of the material presented can be helped by presenting media as an intermediary. Although the initial goal of learning is good, if it is not supported by the right media, this good goal is very difficult to achieve properly. A media in learning will affect whether information is complete and on target or not, and affect the final results of the learning process. However, even so, there are still many educational institutions that are less concerned with the existence of media. It is proven that there are many cases of educators who do not use media in accordance with the material being taught, so that in learning Islamic religious education, students have many difficulties in absorbing and understanding the lessons delivered, Educators have difficulty delivering lesson materials, many students feel bored with Islamic religious education lessons. This can be identified as a problem of lack of understanding of educators in the application of media in the learning process.

Abstract

In the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy, the curriculum is seen as a holistic guide rooted in divine values, with the Qur'an and Hadith as its primary sources. Ontologically, the curriculum includes all educational components aimed at developing human potential in its entirety, encompassing cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and spiritual aspects. Islamic epistemology asserts that Allah is the ultimate educator, while humans are learners who must submit to His teachings. From an axiological perspective, the Islamic curriculum aims not only for academic success but, more importantly, for the development of noble character (akhlaq), with a primary focus on devotion to Allah.
