Abstract

Stunting is basically chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections in children under five years old (toddlers) due to chronic malnutrition and recurrent infections. The problem of stunting is one of the essential issues in the world of children's health that is still a big concern, especially for children in underdeveloped and developing countries. The purpose of this article is to find a strategy to strengthen public awareness of handling stunting from an early age involving pregnant women, brides-to-be, and toddlers, especially teenagers. The service was carried out by collecting data by interviewing, observing, and reviewing documents. The results show that, basically, they understood the challenges in handling stunting. However, due to the lack of knowledge of both the community and village government officials, the stunting problem that occurs in the Village is often limited in the quality of efforts to solve it. In addition, the level of education results in people not caring or trying to find out about the good or wrong way to solve the stunting problem. The rise of stunting in the community also arises because people choose to allow this condition to occur and do not deter the source of the cause. It is as if the cause of stunting is so free to spread its impact without any pressure from the community, who are actually victims, to overcome it. Continuous support from various parties is needed to support efforts to handle stunting.

Abstract

Special Education Schools (SLB) are formal educational institutions that provide services for students with special needs. Until now, SLB still faces significant challenges related to safety in the school environment. To overcome these challenges, mentoring activities are needed to increase safety capacity for teachers, staff and security officers at the Semarang City State SLB. This community service activity uses a participatory approach and is carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation and evaluation. Initial observations showed various problems such as inappropriate evacuation routes, invisible meeting points and expired fire extinguishers. Through mentoring and training activities that combine lecture, discussion and practice methods, participants experienced a 37% increase in knowledge. The evaluation results showed increased participants' knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of implementing safety in schools. This program is expected to be a model for strengthening safety capacity in SLB and encouraging a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

The high number of students who are physically inactive and the limitations of Physical Education teachers in conducting fitness evaluations indicate the need for competency improvement through structured training. Many teachers do not yet understand the concept of physical literacy and are not skilled in using valid and reliable fitness measurement tools. This community service activity aims to enhance the ability of PJOK teachers to measure and evaluate the fitness, health index, and physical literacy of students through a data-based approach. The methods of the activity include coordination with stakeholders, material preparation, pretest, theoretical and practical training (classroom, demonstration, case study, field practice), posttest, and result evaluation. The instrument used is a Google Form questionnaire developed to measure teachers' understanding and skills before and after the training. The results show a significant improvement: conceptual understanding increased from 28% to 88%, the skill in using measurement tools increased from 22% to 85%, and data analysis ability increased from 15% to 82%. In conclusion, the PEFORMA training is effective in equipping teachers with essential competencies to support the objective, systematic, and sustainable evaluation of student fitness. This program is recommended/advised to be implemented more widely as part of strengthening the quality of physical education in elementary schools.

Abstract

The high risk of accidents in elementary school environments requires physical education teachers to have emergency response competencies, including the ability to perform first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). However, most teachers have not received adequate training in this area. This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of PE teachers through theoretical and practical training covering CPR, AED use, and the integration of safety protocols into physical education activities. The implementation method includes initial coordination with the school, a pretest, classroom and field training, demonstrations, a posttest, and evaluation using a Google Form-based questionnaire. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in participants' competencies: 90% of teachers were more skilled in handling emergencies, 95% were able to integrate safety protocols into learning, and 100% obtained formal competencies in CPR skills. Additionally, 95% of teachers demonstrated improved support for the school's medical team system, and 90% were able to incorporate physical safety into the curriculum. These findings confirm the effectiveness of systematic and practical training in enhancing teachers' preparedness. In conclusion, strengthening teachers' competencies in school safety should be an integral part of education policy, and such training should be conducted regularly to ensure comprehensive student safety.

Abstract

The high risk of injury in Physical Education activities in primary schools is an important issue that requires special attention, especially since most teachers do not have adequate training in dealing with emergencies such as physical injuries, heart attacks or other risky situations. This problem is reinforced by the lack of integration of safety protocols in learning and the absence of standardized safety policies in many schools. This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of Physical Education teachers through first aid and school safety training. The methods used include coordination with stakeholders, preparation of materials, pretest, theoretical and practical training, posttest, and evaluation of results. The training is delivered through lectures, demonstrations, case studies, and field simulations designed to match the real situation in the school environment. The results showed significant improvements in teachers' understanding of basic life support (100%), integration of classroom safety protocols (95%), and ability to handle student injuries (95%). The training also improved teachers' preparedness in using AEDs and implementing emergency evacuation procedures. In conclusion, systematic and contextualized training proved effective in improving the competence of PJOK teachers in safety and emergency response aspects. In the future, sustainable training programs and integrated school safety policies are needed to ensure a safe, inclusive and responsive learning environment to the risks that may occur during physical activities at school.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology and the increasing access to the internet among children and adolescents have raised concerns about their vulnerability to cybercrime. In Islamic educational settings, particularly among santri (Quranic students), exposure to digital platforms without adequate digital literacy or protection mechanisms can lead to significant risks. This research explores the extent of cybercrime awareness among santri and evaluates the preventive efforts taken by Islamic education institutions to safeguard their students. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from selected Islamic schools. The study found that while many santri regularly access online content through mobile devices, their understanding of cyber threats such as online fraud, cyberbullying, and exposure to inappropriate content remains low. Most institutions lack structured programs for digital literacy or cyber safety education, and there is limited parental or institutional supervision of online activity. However, there is strong potential for integrating digital safety awareness into religious teachings, reinforcing values such as honesty, modesty, and responsibility in digital behavior. The study concludes that effective protection against cybercrime requires collaborative efforts involving educators, parents, and policymakers. Recommendations include the development of culturally relevant digital literacy modules, training for teachers, and community-based campaigns to raise awareness about cyber safety in religious contexts. This research highlights the urgent need to bridge the digital safety gap for Quranic students, ensuring their well-being in an increasingly connected world.
