Abstract

Teachers became pioneers of change and awakened the intelligence of the native people in the public sphere in the early 20th century. The journey of the nation cannot be separated from the significant role of K.H. Ahmad Dahlan as a figure in Indonesian Islamic education. He established alternative education and prepared militant teacher cadres. This research aims to uncover K.H. Ahmad Dahlan's response to Dutch colonial education with the cadres of his teachers and his conception of the figure of a teacher. This study employs a qualitative approach with data sources from relevant literature such as books, journals, and newspapers or magazines, with a historical-philosophical approach and content analysis. The findings reveal that K.H. Ahmad responded to the need for teachers with a high spirit of struggle. This led him to establish Al-Qismul Arqa (Madrasah Mu’allimin). In K.H. Ahmad Dahlan's perspective, a teacher is a dedicated educator, progressive, and a good role model in the process of educating, teaching, guiding, and inspiring students to become individuals with noble character, devoted to Allah, possessing critical thinking skills, self-confidence, proficient in religious knowledge, broad-minded, and with a strong determination to serve Muhammadiyah, especially, and the Muslim community and society at large. They are ready to be arrows that disseminate the ideas of Islamic renewal amidst society.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the teacher's strategy and challenges or obstacles in improving students' national insight and love for the country in the era of globalization. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The locations in this study were at Bunga Mawar Private Junior High School, BNKP Private Junior High School, Gunungsitoli Alo'oa State Junior High School 2 and BNKP AGIOS Nikolaus Private Junior High School, the four research locations chosen were in Gunungsitoli City, with Civics Teacher and student informants. The data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. From the results of the study, it was found that the Teacher's Strategy in Improving Students' Nationalism and Love for the Country in the Era of Globalization is to foster the value of nationalism in students through lessons, integrating nationalism and love for the country values to students in technology-based activities such as social media and the internet, implementing the values of Pancasila in the life of the school environment, inviting students to filter incoming information and culture in order to preserve traditional culture. Challenges in Improving Students' Nationalistic Insight and Love for the Country in the Era of Globalization, namely the development of technology can affect the mindset, attitude and action patterns of students in the nation and state, thus forgetting nationalistic insight. resulting in a conflict of values in students. Decreasing the moral quality of students, increasing social inequality, the emergence of fast-paced and instant traditions, difficult to organize and even against teachers. Schools have difficulty in restricting students from accessing social media and limited infrastructure to support students in participating in learning activities. Constraints in Improving Students' Nationalistic Insight and Love for the Country in the Era of Globalization lack of student awareness in applying the values or characters that have been taught, low parental concern for their children's education, changes in lifestyle that lead to unhealthy behavior, limited time owned by teachers to educate students in instilling moral values and love for the country.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify students’ perception on public speaking lecture for their speaking ability. The writer used a qualitative descriptive design to provide an overview of information obtained from the data. A sample of 10 students of fourth-semester students from the English Education Department in the Academic Year 2021/2022 who are studying Public Speaking Lectures will take part in this study. The interviews were the process of obtaining information for research by way of questions and answers while looking face to face respondents using an interview guide. An interactive model of analysis was used to analyze the data in this study. The results of student perceptions fou`1%nd that students stated that public speaking lecture is very influential on their speaking ability, the use of public speaking lecture can also make them more able to express their feelings, students can explore and increase their vocabulary, and influence people with their words.

Abstract

The project of strengthening the profile of Pancasila students is one form of implementation of the current era of education. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students on the theme of class X local wisdom at SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang, Muara Enim Regency. In addition, obstacles occurred when the implementation of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students on the theme of class X local wisdom at SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang, Muara Enim Regency. And the solution carried out in overcoming the obstacles in the implementation of the project of strengthening the profile of Pancasila students on the theme (local wisdom) Class X at SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang, Muara Enim Regency. This study uses classroom action research methods with qualitative descriptive models aimed at describing and describing existing phenomena, both natural and human engineering, which pay more attention to the characteristics, quality, relationships between activities. The sample in this study was all class X students with a total of 32. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the analysis of the implementation of the Pancasila (P5) student profile strengthening project at SMK Negeri 1 Gelumbang, Muara Enim Regency runs in accordance with the project achievement target, namely students have high awareness of the importance of recognizing regional songs and dance movements for mental and physical health, students can also use it to grow creativity and critical reasoning

Abstract

The goal to be achieved in this study is to improve the enthusiasm and skills of students in learning volleyball. The method used is Classroom Action Research or often referred to as action research, where this research will be carried out through several cycles in the hope that there will be an increase in the results to be achieved. There are several experts who propose classroom action research models with different charts, but broadly speaking there are four stages that are commonly used, namely: (a) Learning Planning, (b) Action Implementation, (c) Observation and (d) Reflection. KKM (Minimum Completeness Criteria) is the lowest criterion to declare students to achieve completeness. The teacher or group of teachers determines the KKM of the subject by considering three aspects of criteria, namely complexity, carrying capacity, and intake of students. Based on the results of research in the discussion of improving the lower passing skills of the volleyball game through the M-Card method of grade X students of SMK Aisyiyah Insan Utama Prabumulih can be concluded as follows: Pre-Cycle obtained an achievement rate of 21% Cycle I obtained an achievement level of 57% including the low category, Cycle II obtained an achievement level of 92% including the high category. Through the M-Card method on learning to pass under volleyball can improve the skills of passing under the volleyball game. This is in accordance with the observations of researchers who have been made on students starting from Pre-Cycle Cycle I to Cycle II so that the M-Card method can improve Bottom Passing in volleyball games

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum is something that has recently emerged and implemented, not many educators are familiar with its practices, including in terms of assessment. Authentic assessment in learning Islamic Religious Education at the junior high school. It is important to do this to understand the effectiveness and success of the Merdeka curriculum in achieving the objectives of Islamic religious education. By conducting this analysis, the advantages and disadvantages of the authentic assessment used can be identified, as well as providing guidance for educators in developing better evaluation methods. This research method is Descriptive Qualitative which emphasizes literature (library reaserch) by collecting references related to evaluation/assessment which is then continued with the author's knowledge which is associated with what happens in the field and then peeling it with the Descriptive-analytic method. The results of this study are that the Merdeka curriculum emphasizes the profile of Pancasila students, the objectives of PAI subjects are emphasized on knowledge of Islamic values, PAI learning outcomes are related to 5 elements, namely Al-Qur'an Hadith, Akidah, Akhlak, Jurisprudence and Islamic Cultural History, Authentic Assessment of the Merdeka curriculum in PAI lessons consists of 3 aspects, namely 1) Cognitive: Written Tests, Oral Tests and Assignments, 2) Effective: attitude portfolio, class discussion, social project, writing product assessment, role simulation, self-assessment, open questions, reflection and feedback, 3) Psychomotor: Direct Observation, product assessment, simulation and skill portfolio. The three aspects are closely related because PAI is a lesson with the aim of practicing in everyday life, it is not enough just to have a theory (Knowledge) It needs field practice.

Abstract

This study uses correlational analysis as a quantitative research method. This research was conducted because the thesis writing process is widely regarded as a demanding phase that can cause stress among students. Social support is a viable coping strategy for individuals to effectively manage and navigate stressful situations. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social support and stress management in students doing their final assignment at the Faculty of Psychology and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The research sample consisted of 501 senior students who were completing their thesis at the Faculty of Psychology and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. A total of 272 samples were obtained using the Isaac and Michael sampling method. The scale used in this study is the social support scale and coping stress scale. The research data collection methodology uses two measurements, namely the social support scale which consists of 30 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.792, and the coping stress scale which consists of 37 items with a reliability coefficient of 0.830. This study proposes a hypothesis about the potential for a positive correlation between social support and coping stress in students who are working on their thesis at the Faculty of Psychology and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. The results showed a correlation coefficient of 0.639 and a significance level of 0.000 ± 0.05.

Abstract

Guidance and Counseling is an integral part of education which has a very important task in the developmental tasks of students. Entering the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 which will be filled by generation Z or what is known as the millennial generation, of course there are many complex challenges that will be faced. Guidance and Counseling is expected to play an important role in helping students to face these challenges. This article will describe how the role of Guidance and Counseling is in helping the millennial generation to face challenges in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The purpose of this research is to find out the challenges of guidance and counseling in the millennial era faced by counselors. The research method used is a qualitative literature study. Library research can be interpreted as activities related to methods of collecting library data, reading and storing and processing research materials. The results of this study indicate that the problems that occur in schools with the delinquent behavior of students in the millennial era, namely 1) Delinquency that causes physical victims. 2) Student delinquency which causes material casualties. 3) Delinquency that affects the students themselves, and 4) Delinquency denial of status. Then the factors that cause delinquency in the millennial era can occur due to family problems, the community environment which provides negative examples, the lack of understanding of students' religion, the low economy of peer association, the influence of social media and the failure of students in terms of their education. This is one of the challenges for guidance and counseling teachers when dealing with students in the millennial era.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of post-pandemic on undergraduate students' academic writing experiences in 2022-2023. It seeks to shed light on the challenges that students face in their academic writing. Narrative research is employed to understand the participants' lived and imagined experiences and the meaning they make of their own experiences through storytelling. The post-pandemic learning environment has changed the way students approach academic writing, with many struggling to adapt to the new online learning format. Solutions and support from parents, study partners, and the community can help overcome these challenges and foster creativity in students.

Abstract

critical thinking skills. The type of research is meta-analysis research. The data sources in this meta-analysis research are 11 national and international journals that have been published from 2018-2023. The method of selecting data sources is the PRISMA method. The process of searching for data sources through Google Scholar, Eric and Proquest. The technique of collecting data sources is direct observation and documentation through the journal database. Data analysis is quantitative analysis by calculating the effect size value, standard error and average value (mean) with the help of the JSAP application. The results of this study indicate that the average effect size value is = 0.812 with high criteria. This finding explains that the e-learning-based mind mapping model has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills. The e-learning-based mind mapping model fosters critical thinking skills so that it supports students' digital literacy in learning
