Abstract

This article discusses the readiness of the next generation of civilization in the era of society 5.0 by looking at the opportunities, challenges, abilities of individuals and other human resources so that in the future they can compete and be able to solve the problems that are in front of them by utilizing the abilities developed in education, and This is to welcome the hustle and bustle of community life in the 5.0 era which is full of challenges. The purpose of this study was to analyze the challenges, capabilities and content of the curriculum in the era of society 5.0, and the process of curriculum development in the era 5.0. This writing uses a library search method with primary data sources articles, and journals related to the subject matter then analyzed and given an explanation. The challenge of the curriculum that is amid current technological developments is the lack of students mastering technology and the content of the curriculum itself, students are still unable to solve a problem they face. The challenges of this super-smart era must be passed and faced with the appropriate abilities to be able to solve problems easily. Of course, with the ability to think creatively, critically and successfully solve problems with confidence.

Abstract

The current development of education demands learning models that not only emphasize knowledge transfer, but also create meaningful learning experiences and foster character building, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The purpose of this article is to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Quantum Learning method in PAI instruction. This research employs a library research method by reviewing the latest scientific literature related to Quantum Learning and its application in PAI classrooms. The results of the discussion indicate that Quantum Learning is effective in improving cognitive learning outcomes, motivation, active participation, as well as the internalization of religious values and students' character through strategies such as TANDUR, simulations, and the use of visual media. However, the effectiveness of this method is strongly influenced by teacher readiness, the availability of supporting facilities, and institutional support. The conclusion of this study is that Quantum Learning can be an innovative and relevant alternative for PAI learning in the modern era, provided that teacher training and adequate facilities are available as supporting factors for its success.

Abstract

Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan Province, serves as a significant locus of study. In addition to being known as an industrial city with a high degree of ethnic and religious diversity, Balikpapan now holds a strategic status as the main gateway to the Nusantara Capital City (IKN). The dynamic social environment and projected increase in population migration to this area have the potential to intensify cultural friction and differences in religious interpretation. Therefore, the need for an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum that explicitly fosters attitudes of religious moderation and appreciation of local diversity has become increasingly urgent. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the primary focus on producing a research-based PAI curriculum model that internalizes the values of religious moderation, specifically tailored to the context of Balikpapan City. The development of a research-based Islamic Religious Education curriculum emphasizing religious moderation is highly relevant and urgent for the heterogeneous society of Balikpapan. The curriculum model developed through the R&D approach successfully integrates the values of religious moderation contextually into the four main PAI subjects, emphasizing research-based learning methodologies. This model has been evaluated as valid and practical for implementation, and it has the potential to shape students as agents of change who uphold national commitment, reject violence, promote tolerance, and accept local traditions within the framework of wasathiyah (moderate) Islamic teachings.

Abstract

In Islamic education traditions, the accuracy of reading the Qur’an in accordance with tajweed rules is a crucial aspect of the quality of students’ recitation. However, the limited number of educators and the need for repeated practice pose challenges in the learning process. This study aims to develop an automatic tajweed rule classification system based on deep learning as an evaluation tool for students’ recitation at PP Syaichona Cholil Putri Balikpapan. This research uses an applied quantitative-experimental approach with a system development design. Data were obtained through student voice recordings, tajweed rule annotation by expert teachers, signal processing, and feature extraction using mel-spectrogram/MFCC. The CRNN model was tested using cross-validation and field trials, accompanied by questionnaires and interviews to assess its usefulness. The results show that the CRNN model is capable of classifying priority tajweed rules with an accuracy of 92–95% on internal test data. Classroom implementation received positive responses as it effectively detects minor errors quickly and systematically, thereby accelerating correction and monitoring students’ progress. This study asserts that artificial intelligence is effective as a learning companion while still positioning the teacher as the main validator. This system contributes to improving the quality of tajweed learning in Islamic boarding schools and enriches deep learning research based on local datasets. In the future, it is necessary to increase dataset coverage, vary recording environments, and integrate web/smartphone platforms to broaden the model's application.

Abstract

Abstract: This study examines the role of Sufism in shaping students' thinking in the post-truth ecosystem. This study is qualitative, phenomenological, with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, literature reviews, and institutional documents at STIT Balikpapan, with 12 informants (10 students, 1 lecturer, 1 public figure), selected using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data validity was tested through source triangulation. The results show that Sufism-based spiritual practices—specifically tabayyun, muhasabah, and zuhud—play a role in controlling cognitive bias and regulating emotions, thus helping students assess information more clearly, non-reactively, and responsibly in the digital space. Sufism also contributes to strengthening psychological resilience when facing information pressure, opinion polarization, and self-uncertainty during the quarter-life crisis phase. This study confirms that Sufism is not only a ritual tradition, but also an ethical-cognitive mechanism relevant to strengthening students' critical literacy and digital maturity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kemajuan teknologi digital telah membawa dampak signifikan terhadap sistem pendidikan, termasuk dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana prinsip-prinsip pengembangan kurikulum PAI relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik di era digital. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah terkait pengembangan kurikulum, pembelajaran berbasis teknologi, dan pendidikan Islam kontemporer. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum PAI perlu beradaptasi dari pendekatan tradisional menuju model yang lebih integratif, fleksibel, dan kontekstual dengan karakter generasi digital. Terdapat empat prinsip utama yang mendasari pengembangan kurikulum PAI di era digital, yaitu: (1) integratif dan adaptif, yang menggabungkan nilai-nilai keislaman dengan kecakapan teknologi; (2) kontekstual dan dinamis, yang menyesuaikan isi kurikulum dengan perkembangan teknologi serta kebutuhan peserta didik; (3) transformatif dan etis, yang menjadikan teknologi sebagai media pembentukan akhlak digital; dan (4) partisipatif dan kolaboratif, yang menekankan kerja sama antara guru, siswa, dan pemangku kebijakan. Kesimpulannya, pengembangan kurikulum PAI di era digital bukan hanya sekadar pembaruan metode pembelajaran, tetapi merupakan proses transformasi pendidikan Islam menuju sistem yang inovatif, berkarakter, dan kompetitif secara global. Abstract: Advances in digital technology have had a significant impact on education systems, including the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This study aims to examine the extent to which the principles of IRE curriculum development are relevant to the needs of students in the digital age. The research method used is a literature study, reviewing various scientific sources related to curriculum development, technology-based learning, and contemporary Islamic education. The results of the analysis show that the PAI curriculum needs to adapt from a traditional approach to a more integrative, flexible, and contextual model that suits the characteristics of the digital generation. There are four main principles underlying the development of the PAI curriculum in the digital era, namely: (1) integrative and adaptive, combining Islamic values with technological skills; (2) contextual and dynamic, adjusting the curriculum content to technological developments and student needs; (3) transformative and ethical, which uses technology as a medium for shaping digital character; and (4) participatory and collaborative, which emphasizes cooperation between teachers, students, and policy makers. In conclusion, the development of the PAI curriculum in the digital age is not merely an update of learning methods, but a process of transforming Islamic education into an innovative, character-building, and globally competitive system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji konsep iman dan kufur dalam berbagai aliran kalam Islam, seperti Khawarij, Murji’ah, Mu’tazilah, dan Asy’ariyah, serta relevansinya terhadap pendidikan Islam pada era kontemporer. Permasalahan utama penelitian ini adalah adanya perbedaan definisi iman dan kufur yang berpengaruh pada penilaian terhadap status keagamaan individu, terutama terkait pelaku dosa besar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan variasi pemahaman teologis tersebut dan menghubungkannya dengan pengembangan kurikulum serta pembentukan karakter dalam pendidikan Islam modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kepustakaan, memanfaatkan sumber primer seperti karya Al-Syahrastani, Abu Hasan al-Asy’ari, dan Al-Qadhi ‘Abd al-Jabbar, serta sumber sekunder berupa buku dan artikel pemikir kontemporer. Data dianalisis melalui metode analisis isi yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta dipadukan dengan pendekatan teologis-filosofis dan pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi keyakinan hati, pengakuan lisan, dan amal memiliki implikasi penting bagi pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Pemahaman komparatif tentang iman dan kufur juga berperan dalam menumbuhkan toleransi, moderasi, dan etika sosial, sehingga mendukung pengembangan pendidikan Islam yang adaptif terhadap pluralitas, globalisasi, dan dinamika modern.

Abstract

Keseimbangan pemahaman akidah menjadi aspek penting dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI), khususnya terkait isu klasik mengenai hubungan kehendak Tuhan dan usaha manusia sebagaimana diperdebatkan dalam aliran Jabariyah dan Qadariyah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana pemahaman moderat antara kedua pandangan tersebut dapat ditanamkan sebagai strategi dalam memperkokoh akidah peserta didik. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara, observasi, dan telaah dokumen, penelitian ini melibatkan guru PAI serta siswa pada tingkat pendidikan menengah. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berperan sentral dalam mengarahkan siswa pada pandangan yang proporsional yaitu meyakini bahwa manusia diberi kemampuan berusaha, namun tetap berada dalam kehendak dan ketetapan Allah. Sikap moderat ini membantu siswa menghindari pemahaman yang terlalu deterministik seperti dalam Jabariyah, maupun pandangan yang menonjolkan kebebasan mutlak sebagaimana Qadariyah. Penerapan moderasi terlihat melalui pengintegrasian nilai-nilai akidah dalam pembelajaran, penggunaan metode diskusi dan pendekatan kontekstual, serta pembinaan karakter religius yang berimbang. Dampak positifnya tampak pada penguatan keyakinan, meningkatnya kedewasaan berpikir teologis, dan kemampuan siswa memadukan iman, doa, serta ikhtiar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa internalisasi pemahaman moderat mampu menjadi landasan penting dalam membangun akidah yang kuat di tengah tantangan era modern.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate on the foundational thoughts of Imam Abu al-Hasan al-Ash‘ari and Imam Abu Mansur al-Maturidi and to analyze their relevance in the context of strengthening the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama‘ah (Aswaja) within contemporary Islamic education, based on a review of recent scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that both imams serve as the main pillars of Aswaja theology by offering a moderate approach that balances the authority of revelation (naql) and the role of reason (‘aql) as a response to classical theological extremism. The primary difference lies in determining the limits of reason: al-Ash‘ari prioritizes revelation as the source of moral and theological knowledge, while al-Maturidi provides greater space for human reason to recognize the existence of God. Furthermore, divergences are found in discussions on divine obligation (al-aṣlaḥ) and the concept of kasb (the acquisition of human actions), in which al-Maturidi tends to place greater emphasis on individual freedom. Overall, the theological thought of both schools remains highly relevant. Their concepts serve as the foundation of ‘aqidah curricula, promoting moderation (tawassuṭ) and critical thinking, thereby effectively safeguarding students from deviant ideologies and strengthening the stability of the Aswaja creed within Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan metode Jigsaw dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di MI Islamiyah Karangdowo dengan pendekatan deep learning untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa. Pendidikan Pancasila memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter bangsa Indonesia, dengan tujuan agar peserta didik tidak hanya memahami tetapi juga menghayati dan mengamalkan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang berlangsung cenderung berpusat pada guru dan minimnya partisipasi aktif siswa. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, penelitian ini mengintegrasikan metode Jigsaw, yang menekankan pembelajaran kooperatif dalam kelompok kecil, dengan pendekatan deep learning yang mendorong pemahaman mendalam dan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain deskriptif, serta teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode Jigsaw berhasil meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam diskusi, mengembangkan keterampilan sosial, serta memperdalam pemahaman siswa terhadap nilai-nilai Pancasila. Meskipun ada tantangan terkait perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman siswa dan pengelolaan waktu, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi metode Jigsaw dan deep learning efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di tingkat Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
