Abstract

This study identifies the inhibiting factors and formulates strategies to improve Civics Education (PKn) learning in the fourth grade of SD Negeri 106814. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used, involving interviews with the fourth-grade homeroom teacher, classroom observations, and related documentation. The results indicate that students require direct illustrations and concrete examples to understand PKn material. Low reading interest is also an obstacle, necessitating more interactive teaching methods. Proposed strategies include the use of technology, project-based methods, and teacher training. It is hoped that these strategies can enhance the effectiveness of PKn learning and equip students with the knowledge and skills to be good citizens Keywords: Civics Education, learning, inhibiting factors, improvement strategies

Where this attitude of mutual cooperation also has Pancasila values in it, so this attitude of mutual cooperation must be encouraged in the life of the school environment. The study used a qualitative descriptive method in the process of collecting data. The stages carried out starting from observation, interviews, case studies and data analysis. Based on the results that have been presented, we can discuss that mutual cooperation has a significant positive impact on PKN learning in elementary schools. Instilling the value of mutual cooperation from an early age to elementary school children in schools has an important role in shaping their character and social skills. Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of limited learning media, which causes difficulties for students in understanding the material during the learning process. This study aims to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of Canva application-based quartet card learning media for the Pancasila Education subject in Grade IV at SD Negeri 060872, Medan Perjuangan District. This type of research is developmental research (Research and Development) with the 4-D model, consisting of four stages: define, design, development, and disseminate. The subjects of this study were 21 students from Grade IV at SDN 060872, Medan Perjuangan District. Data collection techniques used in the research were interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. This research and development resulted in a product of Canva application-based quartet cards for the Pancasila Education subject in Grade IV at SD Negeri 060872, Medan Perjuangan District. The data analysis techniques used in this study were qualitative and quantitative. The research results show that 1). The feasibility test was categorized as "feasible" with the material expert validator scoring 84% and the learning design expert validator scoring 95%, categorized as "highly feasible". 2). The practicality test by the Grade IV teacher scored 92%, categorized as "highly practical". The effectiveness test showed an average pre-test score of 57.1, categorized as "incomplete", and an average post-test score of 83.3, categorized as "complete". The test results indicate an increase in scores, showing that the quartet cards are effective to be implemented in schools with the qualification of being highly practical. Thus, the Canva application-based quartet cards for the Pancasila Education subject in Grade IV at SD Negeri 060872, Medan Perjuangan District, are declared feasible, practical, and effective as teaching materials that create active and effective learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of 20 multiple-choice questions in the second semester exam for the Religion and Ethics subject for third-grade students at SD Advent Nabire using the ITEMEN program. The analysis focused on the level of difficulty, discriminating power, and effectiveness of distractors. The results show that 65% of the questions are categorized as moderate and 35% as easy, with no difficult questions, indicating a lack of variety in challenges. The majority of questions (65%) have low to very low discriminating power, indicating their inability to distinguish students based on their level of understanding. However, 85% of the distractors function effectively, indicating a good distractor design. It was concluded that, although the distractors were good, the overall quality of the questions needed significant improvement in terms of discriminating power and difficulty level distribution in order to make the evaluation instrument more valid. Recommendations included revising problematic questions, increasing teachers' capacity in question writing, and developing a high-quality question bank.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Wordwall-assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Randugede. The background of this study is based on students' low understanding of verb types due to less interactive learning. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that used the PBL model assisted by Wordwall and the control class that used the conventional learning model. Data collection was carried out through descriptive tests (pretests and posttests), observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class and the control class. The average posttest scores of students in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. This proves that the application of the PBL model assisted by Wordwall is effective in improving student learning outcomes, particularly in understanding types of verbs. Thus, this model can be used as an alternative interactive learning strategy that can improve students' understanding and motivation to learn at the elementary school level.
