Abstract

Gross motor refers to the ability of large movements or motor skills that involve the use of large muscles in the body to perform physical activities. One way to develop gross motor skills is through traditional games. Traditional games refer to games that have existed and are played by the community from generation to generation. These games reflect the cultural heritage of each region. One of the heritage games in Java is Jump rope. This research aims to help children's gross motor development based on traditional jump rope games. At the age of 4-5 years, children make significant progress in their gross motor development. It is important to note that each child has a unique development and is different from one another, hence the need for a response from the environment to help optimize children's growth and development. The research method used in this study is classroom action research with 20 children. From the results of the research that has been carried out, gross motor development based on traditional jump rope games is proven to optimize the motor development of children aged 4-5 years, it can be seen by an increase in the percentage which initially only 7% increased to 25% in cycle 1, and 80% in cycle 2.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the STEAM learning approach on the numeracy abilities of children aged 4-5 years. This type of research is a quantitative experimental research method, Pre-Experimental Design, by trialing the STEAM learning approach in class. This research design is One Group Pre-test – Post-test Design, in the form of a children's worksheet which contains children's understanding of numeracy. The population of this study was 12 children from group A. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation & test techniques. Data analysis techniques in this research use validity tests, reliability, normality, homogeneity, and t-hypothesis tests. Based on the results of research that has been conducted, there is a significant influence on the numeracy abilities of children aged 4-5 years on indicators of counting using numbers, measuring, sorting, and patterns. Apart from that, it is shown by tcount = 26.741 while t table = 2.178. Because count> table (26.741>2.178), the conclusion is that Ha is accepted & H0 is rejected, which means there is a significant influence of implementing the STEAM learning approach on the numeracy abilities of children. This research implies that the STEAM learning approach is very appropriate for children aged 4-5 years because it can teach children to think and problem-solve, including numeracy abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reduce aggressiveness in early childhood, especially 5-6 years of age. This research is a quasi-experiment research with Nonequivalent control group design, data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The population in this study were 2 classes, namely group B1 and group B2 with random sampling technique, each of which had 15 students. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The instrument measurement scale uses a Likert scale. The data analysis technique uses the t test, namely independent sample t-test and paired sampe-test to determine the comparison when the pretest and postest. The data was processed using the help of SPPS for windows to determine whether the hypothesis was rejected or accepted. The results showed that after treatment for 5 times, it can be seen from the results of calculations with SPSS which obtained a value of 0.000 which means the sig value <0.05. This means that there is an effect of reinforcement techniques in reducing the level of aggressiveness of Ramadani natural school children. Forms of aggressiveness in children such as pushing, grabbing, ignoring teacher calls, hitting.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of PAUD teachers' academic qualifications on independent curriculum learning. Teachers are scholars who will be obeyed and imitated by students. So that a teacher must have qualifications as physical evidence of quality obtained through education and the teaching profession. This research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques conducted by researchers through field observations, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this research consisted of the principal and 5 teachers. The object of research includes the academic qualifications of PAUD teachers towards learning the Merdeka curriculum. Analysis of data collection is carried out through drawing conclusions from the findings studied. This research is located at Amal Sholeh Islamic Kindergarten in Tasikmalaya city. The results of this study indicate that there are differences in performance quality between qualified and linear teachers and unqualified and non-linear teachers. This certainly affects the effectiveness of learning, especially in the Merdeka Curriculum which requires teachers to be creative and innovative.

Abstract

21st-century ECE teachers face challenges in developing effective strategies to stimulate early reading abilities in children. This study aims to explore the strategy of 21st-century early childhood education (ECE) teachers' professionalism in stimulating early reading skills in young children focusing on the effectiveness of these strategies in enhancing children's interest and reading abilities. The study employs a descriptive qualitative research method, with two teachers from groups B1 and B2 of TK Piri Nitikan as the subjects. The findings highlight that the professionalism of 21st-century ECE teachers, particularly in using conventional picture storybooks and digital flipbooks, positively contributes to enhancing early reading skills. Conventional picture storybooks aid in developing fine motor skills and basic language abilities in children, while digital flipbooks offer a more interactive and engaging learning experience. Combining conventional and digital approaches in 21st-century ECE professionalism provides a strong foundation for improving early childhood reading abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of practical life activities on self-care skills of children aged 5-6 years at RA Iqra' Sabila Jambi City. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental research design. The population amounted to 48 children at RA Iqra' Sabila Jambi City. The sample amounted to 24 children purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was an observation sheet. Data analysis techniques use normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing using independent sample t test with the help of SPSS. The average research results of the experimental class on the prettest 8.41 on the posttest increased 18.00. The average control class on the prettest 8.33 and on the posttest 10.92. The test results show the sig value. (2-tailed) 0.001 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The tcount value of 4.005 is higher than the t table 1.1714 so that ho is rejected and ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that there is an effect of practical life activities on self-care skills for children aged 5-6 years at RA Iqra' Sabila Jambi City.

Abstract

Many parents work outside the home fora long duration of time, making parents less involved in childcare, especially in their play activities. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze parents' participation in children's play activities at home. The targets of this study were five households with children (5-6 years old). In Kalongan village, East Ungaran, there are working and unemployed parents. This research was designed using a descriptive qualitative method. Interview, observation, office research, documentary research and triangulation were used as data collection techniques. The results showed that parents who participated in play activities at home during childhood were mostly the same, i.e. working and unemployed parents with advanced education and moderate economic status. Then the type of parents with a weak economic background is also decreasing. On the other hand, the participation of other people in children's activities depends on the size of the family.

Abstract

This development research aims to develop a learning video product based on local wisdom in the independent dimension of the Pancasila Student Profile. The research respondents were material and media experts as validators, seven Mutiara Hati Kindergarten Teachers, and six children in group B2. The research method used is the research and development method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Based on the results of the validity test from the material experts, the learning video reached a percentage of 89.6% with very good criteria. The validity test from the media experts showed that the learning video reached a percentage of 98.5% with very good criteria, while the feasibility test by seven Mutiara Hati Kindergarten Teachers obtained a percentage of 91.7% with very good criteria. The children's response in group B2 showed a percentage of 74.1% with good criteria. Thus, based on the results of the assessment, it can be concluded that the learning video product is appropriate and feasible to introduce local wisdom of the Jambi region and develop the independent dimension of the Pancasila Student Profile in children.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, creativity is becoming increasingly important, because it is needed to face increasingly rapid challenges and changes. To increase creativity in early childhood, the right strategy is needed, one of which is using loose part media. At PAUD Fullday Aisyiyah Kasihan uses loose parts as a strategy to increase children's creativity. So the aim of this research is to look at strategies for increasing children's creativity through loose part media at PAUD Fullday Aisyiyah Kasihan. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The research subject is the teacher. The place of research was carried out at the Kasihan Integrated Aisyiyah PAUD, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The validity tester in this research uses credibility with triangulation, namely technical triangulation. Analyzing data from the field through interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique that will be used in the research is Miles and Huberman's data analysis technique, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results of the research show that there are 6 strategies used by teachers to increase children's creativity by using loose part media, namely; 1) giving children freedom to imagine and be creative; 2) providing appropriate direction and supervision by the teacher; 3) getting used to playing activities with loose part media; 4) use of interrogative sentences and provocation sentences to support creativity; 5) increasing vocabulary, articulating word pronunciation and strengthening children's oral speech; 6) assessment of activity results and reflection on learning.

Abstract

This research is based on problems in the field, some children have not mastered children's mathematical skills such as recognizing number shapes, recognizing geometry, matching, and differentiating. This is because when learning takes place the teacher only conveys it using his fingers, writing, and simple number cards. According to STPPA, children aged 3-4 years should already know the concept of numbers and geometric shapes. Therefore, stimulation is needed to improve basic mathematical skills for early childhood, namely House Counting media. This research uses the RnD (Research And Development) Borg And Gall model through 5 stages. Products have been developed through a trial process by media experts and material experts to determine the suitability of the product. This research was conducted at RA Miftahul Falaah, Majalengka Regency, group A2 with 16 children.This data collection technique uses questionnaires, interviews, and observation. The questionnaire is used to determine the suitability of House Counting media. Interviews were conducted to obtain research data and also to see the extent to which House Counting media is effective for media children in improving their mathematical abilities. Observation is used to observe the learning process in group A2 RA Miftahul Falaah. Data analysis in this study used descriptive qualitative with percentage calculations.The results of observations and research that have been carried out show that House Counting media can improve basic mathematics skills in class A2 RA Miftahul Falaah Majelengka Regency
